Gems of Buxexa Slot Review
Stone ruins frame the reels, an Aztec-flavoured soundtrack rumbles away underneath, and the whole thing appears to be staged in something like a hotel lobby. Then a four-by-four rolls past on the middle row, parked next to a crown.
Gems of Buxexa never quite decides where it lives. It’s a compact 3×3 grid over five fixed paylines, with a fourth special reel bolted to the right-hand side that holds nothing but multipliers, running from 1x up to 15x.
RTP is 96.57%, volatility sits medium to high, and the ceiling is 15,000x with the Extra Bet switched on, or 1,000x without it. Stakes run from 0.20 to 200, rising to 0.30 to 300 once Extra Bet is active.
It’s a bespoke branded build from TaDa Gaming, put together in collaboration with Brazilian streamer Buxexa.
Their back catalogue includes Gold Mine Express, which is a useful point of reference for anyone new to the studio.
Also worth a look are Fortune Coins 2 and Joker Coins Unlimited Fortune. Gems of Buxexa keeps things far simpler than most of what’s around it, and whether simple is enough is the question.
Base Game and Features
The main grid is three reels wide and three rows deep, and wins come from three-of-a-kind combinations across five fixed lines. There’s no cascade, no expanding grid and no ways-to-win maths sitting behind it.
Symbols are modern rather than ancient: cars, four-by-fours and crowns sit on top of a stone-ruins backdrop, with the soundtrack and the wider audio design pitched towards the Aztec staging rather than the reel set.

Five Fixed Paylines
All five paylines are fixed, so there’s no line count to adjust and the stake is the only lever on the bet panel. Standard mode runs from 0.20 to 200 per spin.

The Special Reel
The fourth reel sits to the right of the main grid and carries multiplier symbols and the Wild, nothing else. Whatever lands in its centre position multiplies every win formed on that spin.
In standard play there are six values on it: 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x and 15x. The reel spins on every spin, but it only pays out when the main grid has produced a winning combination for it to act on.

Wild Symbols
The Wild appears on every reel and substitutes for all symbols on the main grid. It has a second job on the special reel: landing a Wild in that centre position is what triggers the Lucky Wheel.
Bonus Features
There’s no free spins round here. The feature set amounts to the Lucky Wheel and the optional Extra Bet, both of which hang off the special reel rather than taking you to a separate screen.
Lucky Wheel
Landing the Wild at the centre of the special reel triggers the Lucky Wheel, which awards a random prize as a multiple of the total bet.
The available values are 1x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 30x, 50x, 100x, 200x and 1,000x. The wheel resolves in place and returns you straight to the base game.

Extra Bet Mode
Extra Bet is a toggle that adds 50% to the stake, moving the bet range from 0.20 to 200 up to 0.30 to 300. It changes two things about the game.
- The 1x symbol is removed from the special reel entirely, leaving 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x and 15x as the only possible multiplier values.
- Lucky Wheel prizes are multiplied by a further random value of 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x or 15x.
That second change is what carries the top prize. The 15,000x figure comes from a 1,000x Lucky Wheel award landing alongside the 15x Extra Bet multiplier, which means the ceiling is only reachable with the toggle switched on. Standard mode tops out at 1,000x.
Our Honest Verdict
The base game is quick and unfussy, and the loop never varies: land three of a kind, then glance right to see what the special reel handed you.
It swings hard on that one number. A 1x or 2x after a decent combination is genuinely deflating, while a 10x or 15x lifts the whole session on the spot.
The Lucky Wheel comes round often enough to feel generous, though plenty of spins end on a small value and it’s over before the anticipation has anywhere to go.
Extra Bet is the easy call. It strips the 1x out completely, it doesn’t cost the earth, and it’s the only route to that 15,000x ceiling, which is competitive but needs a very specific sequence to land.
With no free spins round, nothing extends a session beyond those two beats. It’ll suit players who want a classic, straight-to-the-point machine and short bursts, and it won’t suit anyone after depth or a modern feature set.
The ruins and the four-by-fours never do reconcile, and neither, quite, does the game.
