Jammin’ Jars from Push Gaming is one of the most beloved slots of the modern age, and to continue its legacy comes Giga Jar Cluster Link!

Since Jammin’ Jars released in 2018 we’ve had a number of sequels, like Jammin’ Jars 2, and the loose spin-off that was Retro Tapes. The influence of Jammin’ Jars is seemingly significant, and you can’t blame Push Gaming for capatalising on its popularity for another sequel. This time around we’re going ‘Giga’ as Push elaborate on their Giga Jar feature that made it’s debut in Jammin’ Jars 2.

Giga Jar Cluster Link Base Game

Giga Jar Cluster Link is a 7×7 Video Slot with a Cluster Pays mechanic. Winning combinations are formed when 5 or more of the same symbols land either Horizontally and/or Vertically across the grid.

The minimum bet available here is £/€0.10 (£/€0.18 Ante Bet) per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€100 (£/€180 Ante Bet) per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. This game has a theoretical RTP of 96.48% and a max win cap of 10,000x.

In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is the Strawberry, followed by Oranges and Plums. Low-paying symbols fall to Kiwis, Grapes and Blueberries.

Giga Jar Cluster Link features Cascading Reels. Each time a winning combinations forms, all winning symbols will be removed from the reels and new symbols will drop down from above, filling all empty positions on the grid.

Ante Bet

Before you can begin spinning, you will be given the chance to activate the Ante Bet feature.

Choosing to activate this feature will increase your current bet by 80%, but with that comes an advantage. Once active, the first Wild Jar will be added to the grid at the start of each spin.

Instant Prize Symbols

Instant Prize symbols are special Bet Multipliers with a random value between 1x and 1,000x your current bet. Whenever a cluster of 5 or more Instant Prize symbols are formed, their total values will be awarded.

Jar Meter

Sat on the left side of the reel set is a special Jar Meter.  The Jar Meter is a counter that displays your progression throughout the game, featuring the following elements.

  • Wild Jar activation meter.
  • Giga Jar activation meter.
  • Giga Jar Multiplier upgrade levels.

Wild Jar Symbol

During gameplay, you will come across colourful Wild Jar symbols. Wild Jars substitute for all High and Low-paying symbols in the paytable.

After 3 consecutive winning cascades, the first Wild Jar activation meter on the Jar Meter will fill to the top. Once active, a Wild Jar symbol will be added in a random position to the grid.

Each time a Wild Jar contributes towards a winning combination, the Wild Jar will jump to a new position adjacent to it thats vacent, before a new Cascade occurs.

Each Wild Jar symbol will have a Multiplier associated with it, starting at x1. The Multiplier will automatically be applied to any winning combination the Wild Jar is a part of.

After contributing towards a winning combination, the Multiplier value will increase by x1.

Giga Jar Cluster Link Snowball Feature

Ice Breaker Feature

When the Ice Breaker Feature randomly triggers, it will remove between 1 and 3 High or Low-paying symbols from the grid. Please note, the Ice Breaker feature can only remove regular paying symbols.

Snowball Feature

Activating the Snowball Feature will award 1 to 2 Giant symbols in sizes 2×2, 3×3 or 4×4 to the grid in random positions.

The added symbols can be any high or low-paying symbol from the paytable or Instant Prize symbols. Once on the grid, the Giant symbols will reveal 1×1 versions of the landed symbol type.

Giga Jar Feature

Once all 3 Wild Jar symbols are in play on the grid, the Giga Jar activation meter is activated. Filling the meter with 3 consecutive winning cascades will automatically trigger the Giga Jar feature.

Once active, the Giga Jar symbol will be added to the grid in a random position with a starting Multiplier of x1, locking into place for the duration of the feature. The Giga Jar will land as a 2×2 sized Wild symbol, substituting for all high and low-paying symbols in the paytable.

Once the Giga Jar makes an appearance on the grid, a full progression meter is actiavted which will remain active for the next 3 Cascades. After 3 Cascades, the Giga Jar symbol becomes inactive.

The Giga Jar will reactiavte once another 3 consecutive winning clusters are formed. Each reactiavtion of the Giga Jar will upgrade the Multiplier associated with it.

GigaJar Cluster Link - Giga Jar Feature

The first thing we were looking for in Giga Jar was whether or not Push Gaming had addressed some issues that made Jammin’ Jars 2 less popular than the original, and we think they have.

Don’t get us wrong, Jammin’ Jars 2 was an emotional rollercoaster full of excitement, but that grind for the Giga Jar was next level brutal. Many undoubtedly gave up in their quest to see one, and it just kind of felt as if the standard Free Spins round was less potent than Jammin Jars.

Then along came Retro Tapes, a loosely related game that gave players a much-needed fix with colourfully cute inanimate objects. Retro Tapes has proven its worth time and time again to us, yet we still craved something with a little more…jam.

Enter Giga Jar, a sequel that is sure to impress those with an affinity for glass jars once more. Giga Jar Cluster Link is as eventful as it gets with all of what made the previous games great, wrapped up into one big giga package. In our testing of it ourselves, we saw plenty of great hits with those good old fashioned Jars, yet they could be unsympathetically brutal at times. ‘Treat them mean to keep them keen’ is an adage that might not apply well to slots, yet we’re still putty in Giga Jar’s hands with enthralling gameplay and big potential.

Speaking of potential, the maximum win here is 10,000x. It’s not quite as attractive in this regard as Jammin’ Jars 2, but it’s still a significant figure.

Overall, we were quite impressed with Giga Jar Cluster Link and its capabilities, and we’re sure it’ll be popular with Jammin’ Jars enthusiasts too, given the chance. A game as beloved as Jammin Jars might never be beaten when the unassailable aspect of nostalgia comes into the equation, but Giga Jar Cluster Link is imposing nonetheless.
