Base Game & Features
Groovy Knights Dream Drop is a standard 5-reel Video Slot with 20 fixed pay lines. Wins occur when 3-5 identical symbols land from left to right, starting from reel 1.
The 4 high-paying symbols represent Mythological Icons, whilst the 4 low-paying symbols fall to Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, and Spades. Between the 8 paytable symbols, fixed payouts between 0.1x and 15x your bet are awarded, where applicable.
Furthermore, Stacked Wilds, of which there are 2, substitute for all paytable symbols on the reels, except Bonus Scatters.
Dream Drop Bonus
Triggering the Dream Drop Bonus requires the word ‘dream’ to appear above the main reel set at the start of any random spin.
The Dream Drop Jackpot system consists of 6 progressive Jackpots: Rapid, Midi, Maxi, Daily, Major, and Mega. The new Daily Jackpot will fall up to 3 times a day, while the value of the Mega Jackpot has been upgraded.
Once active, a special Jackpot Wheel appears, with individual segments for each available Jackpot, plus multiple Arrow positions to reach the next wheel segment.
One spin is guaranteed, which stops on a random Jackpot or Arrow segment. If the cursor falls on an arrow, you will receive +1 Spin on the next part of the wheel. Ultimately, 1 of 6 Jackpot Prizes is awarded, after which, you will return to the base game.
Bonus Buy
Players outside the UK jurisdiction can participate in up to 3 Bonus Buy options, from the following:
- Single Knight: Trigger a game round with a Single Knight on the reels for 25x your bet

Knight Respin Feature
When a Stacked Wild lands fully in view on the reels, the Knight Respin feature is awarded. However, when a Stacked Knight lands partially in view, it can be nudged down entirely.
In this round, only the topmost section of the knight reel will spin, awarding the following outcome(s):
- Move Left: Causes the Knight to move one position to the left. The Knight will leave the reel set if it is in the leftmost reel position.
- Add Knight: An additional stacked knight is positioned on the rightmost reel.
- Add x1: Increases the current Multiplier by +x1
- Add x2: Increases the current Multiplier by +x2
- Add x3: Increases the current Multiplier by +x3
During spins, there is a chance to trigger a Second Chance knight bonus. When the last knight leaves the reels, there is a chance for another to appear on the rightmost reel.
After the topmost reel spins, all other reels spin together and pay according to the paytable. If 2 knights overlap on the same reel, the 2 knights become a Disco Knight Stack, awarding the following outcome(s):
- Move Left: The knight will move 1 step to the left. If it falls onto the leftmost reel, it is removed from play.
- Move Right: The knight will move 1 step to the right. If it falls onto the rightmost reel, it is removed from play.
- Expand: The disco knight will expand to the left or right, transforming into a 2-reel Wild Stack for that triggering spin.
- Add x3-x100: Increases the current Multiplier by x3, x5, x8, x10, x20, and x100, respectively.
Our Honest Verdict
We’ve encountered our fair share of Relax Gaming/Dream Drop Jackpot slots, and it’s obvious that Groovy Knights is more for the Dream Drop feature than any other aspect of gameplay.
If we’re brutally honest, the base game is very bland, including its design, and it doesn’t even highlight wins when they occur on the reels. The only thing that keeps players engaged is the allure of the Dream Drop Jackpots.
For the more experienced players, Groovy Knights Dream Drop does little to satisfy your needs. Alternatively, the soft nature of gameplay will benefit players who are new to the Igaming industry or those looking for a less chaotic pace.
What’s surprising is the game’s fixed max win cap of 10,000x your bet (separate from the Dream Drop Jackpots).
After indulging in multiple Knight Respin features, we can’t quite see how this game can achieve such a figure, but we’d love for it to prove us wrong.
If this figure is achievable, it’s realistically going to be through the Increasing Multipliers within the Knight respin feature. However, to get anywhere near, you will need to acquire the Disco Knight function, acquire the big Multipliers, and then create winning combinations on the reels.
All in all, Groovy Knights is a great choice for players chasing the Dream Drop Bonus, but it’s a far cry from the hustle and bustle of the Money Train series.
