Hades Lost Treasures Slot Review
There’s more gold buried under Hades Lost Treasures than sitting on its reels. In this Greek underworld release from Gold Coin Studios, the base game exists to run cascades and stack multiplier wilds while the lava-lit temple waits, and nearly all the real value is locked inside the collection round beneath.
It’s a bold way to build a slot, and the bonus carries the weight with monsters, a pick game and a 10,000x ceiling. The numbers around it: a 5×5 grid with 3,125 ways to win, 96.23% RTP, high volatility, and stakes from 0.20 to 25.00 per spin. The studio’s catalogue also produced Ghost Money Manor and the Knights of the Golden Egg games, and this one leans harder on its feature than either.
Base Game & Features
Wins pay left to right across adjacent reels on the 5×5 grid, and only the highest combination per symbol counts. Wins land on 27.7% of spins, roughly one in four, which for a high-volatility game is a steady drumbeat of small returns. Wilds appear on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5, substituting for everything except the Hades scatter.
Rolling Reels
Any ways win triggers Rolling Reels. Winning symbols are removed, the symbols above drop into the gaps, and new ones roll in. The cascade repeats for as long as new wins form. Random blocker symbols also have a chance to clear away with any winning combination, opening the grid up further.
It’s a base-game-only system. When the Link&Win round starts, the cascades stop and the collecting takes over, so every roll the wilds can build is worth having before the scatters arrive.
Wild Multipliers
Wilds land carrying random multiplier values of up to 500x. When a multiplier wild forms part of a winning combination, its value is collected into a Multiplier Meter, and every win on that roll is multiplied by the meter’s total. The meter resets to 1x on the next roll, and multiplier wilds that don’t contribute to a win are simply lost.
It’s the engine of the base game. A single roll with several collected wilds can turn a modest cascade into something much bigger, and because the meter only counts wilds inside winning combinations, placement matters as much as the value printed on the symbol.
Symbols and Pays
Symbol payouts shift value onto the multipliers and the feature; the symbols themselves are change for the meter. Payouts are based on the initial bet with a fixed bet multiplier of 20, and the total payout on a spin is the sum of all way wins.
Hades Lost Treasures Link&Win Bonus
The Hades scatter landing on reels 1, 3 and 5 triggers the Link&Win feature. Three random Link&Win symbols worth between 1x and 3x are awarded to start, and the round begins with three spins. Held symbols stay put while every unheld position spins individually; any new Link&Win symbol that lands is held and resets the spins back to three.
Symbols carry multiplier values from 1x up to 100x bet, and the total collected is multiplied by the total bet at the end. Fill all 25 positions and the maximum prize of 10,000x is awarded. There’s a twist on the final position too: once 24 symbols have landed, the 25th can bring the Hades Hand, which awards the full 10,000x on its own.
The round ends only when the spins run out or the maximum prize lands, so every reset extends the collection window rather than restarting it. That makes the later spins the valuable ones, with monsters waiting to fire on a board that’s already half full.
Monster Features
The monster modifiers unlock during the round as Link&Win symbols are collected, at fixed thresholds and in a random order each time:
- 9 symbols – first monster feature unlocks
- 13 symbols – second unlocks
- 17 symbols – third unlocks
- 21 symbols – fourth unlocks
Each monster lands on the grid, pays an instant award, and then boosts the board in its own way:
- Hades – awards 3x to 10x, adds 2x-8x to 2-6 random symbols
- Cyclops – awards 2x to 8x, doubles the value of 2-5 random symbols and adds its own value to another
- Cerberus – awards 2x to 8x, adds its value to 2-7 random symbols
- Minotaur – awards 2x to 8x, absorbs the value of 2-6 random symbols
- Medusa – awards 3x to 10x, adds its value to all surrounding symbols
Medusa is the one you want near a packed board. Because she boosts every symbol around her, her value scales with how full the grid already is, and she can turn a decent collection into a serious one in a single hit.
Hades Lost Treasures Pick Feature
When the Link&Win round ends, a pick game begins. Choose one of four skulls and hope for the Golden Key. Find it and the Lost Treasures round pays out: between two and twenty random Link&Win symbols are selected, in steps of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 or 20, and each one adds a value from 2x up to 100x to its current total.
The same symbol can be picked more than once, so a single lucky key can stack serious value onto an already strong finish. The add applies to the symbol’s current value rather than replacing it, which is what lets a 100x add on an already-boosted symbol snowball.
Buy Feature
The Link&Win round can be bought outright for 100x bet. Select a bet amount, confirm, and the feature plays; the X button cancels before the purchase goes through. The bought round runs at 97.28% RTP against 96.23% in the standard game, which is a full point of expected return in the buyer’s favour and one of the more generous buy premiums around.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.7/10
Hades Lost Treasures is a gathering game. Cascades roll, multiplier wilds stack, and the reels never once surprise you on their own. The reason to sit down in this temple is the collect round: watching the grid fill, watching monsters stack value onto symbols that are already fat, and staying alive for the 25th position.
The monster layer is the best of it. Unlocks tied to collection thresholds give every spin something extra to ride on, and a late Medusa on a packed board can reprice the whole round in one hit. What it costs you is everything outside the bonus: with cascades that stop at the feature’s door, the stretches between scatters are among the plainest you’ll sit through at this volatility.
If hold-and-collect rounds with escalation built in are your thing, this is one of the better-built ones, and the 10,000x ceiling gives patient players a target worth the wait. Anyone who wants the reels themselves to do the entertaining will find the underworld guards its rewards more patiently than they’d like.
