Harvest Wilds Base Game and Features

Harvest Wilds is a 7×7 Video Slot with a Cluster Pays mechanic. In order to form a win you will need to connect 5 or more of the same symbols, either Vertically or Horizontally on the grid.

Harvest Wilds features Tumbling Reels. Each time a winning combination is formed, all winning symbols will be removed from the grid and new symbols will tumble down, filling all the empty spaces and possibly creating even more winning combinations.

Harvest Wilds does not feature any kind of Free Spins round, so we are completely reliant on the Features in this slot. Special Symbols, Sunflower Multiplier Wilds and Respins can all be awarded during any random spin. Will this be enough to keep us playing? That’s for you to decide.

Sunflower Multiplier Wilds

During any random spin in the base game, a Seed symbol may can land.

Once this happens, the Seed will then blossom into a Sunflower Wild with a starting Multiplier of x2, so long as there is at least one winning combination on the grid.

Between each Tumble or Respin, the Multiplier Wild will hop to a new position on the grid. The maximum amount of Sunflower Wilds that can land during any one spin is 4.

If the Multiplier Wild symbol is used as part of a winning combination, the win will be multiplied by the value on the connecting Multiplier. If 2 or more Multiplier Wilds are used as part of a winning combination, they will first be multiplied by each other then applied to the win.

Each winning cluster will then be removed from the grid, making way for new symbols. All activated Special Symbols are removed with winning clusters.

Special Symbols

During any random base game spin, Special Symbols may land on the grid. These Special Symbols offer different Features.

  • Water Drops – Each Water Drop symbol that lands, awards +1 Respin. Fill the rainmeter on the right side of the screen with a maximum of 5 Respins.
  • Fertilizer – The Fertilizer symbol increases one Sunflower Wild Multiplier value by +1.
  • Epic Fertilizer – The Epic Fertilizer symbol increases all Sunflower Wild Multipliers on the grid by +1.

Harvest Wilds Our Verdict

Harvest Wilds definitely has an attractive aspect to it if you can utilise the bonus buy feature, but if you can’t then we don’t think it’s a very viable slot at all.

This won’t really come as a big surprise to anyone, Hacksaw Gaming slots have always been more or less geared towards the bonus buy market with Base Games that hold very little potential. Harvest Wilds itself is nothing but Base Game really…It hasn’t got a Free Spins round, but rather respins in which you’ll benefit from periodically. During this Respin you’ll be desperate for sunflowers to land, but it can often fall very flat indeed.

We’re a little disappointed with this one. It seems like there’s very little reason for UK players to have a go. The real potential in Harvest Wilds seemingly comes from the Feature Spins 3 buy where you’ll start with 4 seeds, but it costs €/$100 per spin.

If anything, Harvest Wilds has a very Jammin’ Jars feel to it in some senses, although not nearly as good. We’d love to eat our own words and we’d fall on our sword and apologise if we turn out to be wrong, but if we’re honest we don’t see Harvest Wilds being a smash hit, especially if you’re a UK Player.

10,000x is the maximum win potential of Harvest Wilds. This value is similar to others within the Hacksaw Gaming catalogue, though we’ve no data on how many of them actually reach their win caps.

Overall, If you’re a die hard fan of Hacksaw Gaming slots, then you may just want to look to older titles to get your fix.
