Base Game & Features
Consisting of 5 reels, 3 rows, and 20 fixed pay lines, Haunted Crypt triggers winning payouts when 3, 4, or 5 identical symbols land on adjacent reels, starting from reel 1, so long as they align to connecting pay lines.
The King is the highest-paying symbol, followed by the Dracula, Vampire Lady, Alien, Chalice, Book, A, K, Q, J, & 10 card suits. Once a winning combination is confirmed, a fixed payout between 0.1x and 20x your bet is applied.
Additionally, Wild symbols appear on reels 2, 3, & 4, substituting for all symbols except Scatters. In the base game, Wild symbols may carry a random Multiplier between x2 and x10, which applies to all winning combinations they are a part of.
Value & Speed Game Modes
Before each game session, players will have the choice between Value & Speed Game Modes. While each session begins on the Value Game Mode, activating the Speed Game Mode increases your chances of naturally triggering the Free Spins mode, but it will result in a lower-paying feature on average.
Haunted Crypt: Free Spins
Triggering Free Spins requires 3 Scatter symbols to land in the same spin, awarding 10 Free Spins.
During this mode, each Wild symbol that appears will mark its current position with a Frame. For every subsequent spin, each Multiplier Frame in view will increase by +x1. In addition, whenever a Wild symbol is present on the reels, each Frame position will transform into Wilds, with their Multipliers applying to all wins that pass through them.

Haunted Crypt proved to be a genuinely engaging release. While it does not lean heavily into innovation, it successfully refines a collection of familiar mechanics with Pragmatic Play’s characteristic polish. The introduction of Value and Speed modes adds a welcome layer of player choice, subtly influencing volatility and pacing without overcomplicating the experience.
Both the Base Game and Free Spins mode feel cohesive and well-balanced, with Multiplier Wilds acting as the central driving force behind the slot’s potential.
