Hearts Of Venus

Hearts Of Venus Slot Review

Two collected Scatters were sitting on the grid with two spins to go, and the Multiplier Boost had built to 8x across the whole reels. Then the third scatter landed. The Boost climbed to 16x, two more spins dropped into the pool, and the multiplier positions that had been building through the tumble chain came into their own all at once. That moment – the compounding of patience and position – captures what Hearts of Venus is actually about once its Free Spins mode gets properly underway.

Pragmatic Play have framed the game in romantic Greek mythology: Venus rendered through golden apples, pearl shells, classical helmets and a full range of gemstones across a bright, luxurious 6×5 grid. The presentation is polished and confident, with multiplier positions clearly marked across all 30 grid positions. Mechanically, the game draws from the same well as Sugar Rush and Gates of Olympus – Scatter Pays tumbling reels with progressive multiplier spots – but gives the multiplier grid more surface area and ties Boost progression to Scatter collection during Free Spins rather than tumble count alone. Players familiar with either title will orient themselves quickly, while the romantic mythological setting gives the experience a warmer, more decorative personality.

Hearts Of Venus Base Game

The 6×5 grid uses Scatter Pays throughout – symbols pay anywhere on screen, with payout values determined by the total count of matching symbols present at the end of each spin rather than fixed payline positions. The Tumble Feature activates on every spin: winning symbols disappear, remaining symbols fall to the bottom, and new symbols drop from above. Tumbling continues until no more winning combinations appear.

Alongside this, the Multiplier Spots system operates across all 30 grid positions. At any spin or tumble, random multiplier values can appear on any position. When a winning symbol explodes on top of a multiplier spot, the multiplier increases by adding its starting value again. The progression runs from x2 through to x1024 in doublings: x2, x4, x8, x16, x32, x64, x128, x256, x512, x1024. Multiple multipliers active within the same winning combination add together rather than multiply. Crucially, in the base game these spots last only until the end of the current tumbling sequence – they don’t persist across independent spins.

The result is a base game where ordinary spins carry more potential than the layout might initially suggest. Hit frequency runs at roughly 1 in 3.49 spins, so smaller wins appear with reasonable regularity. Extended cold streaks can occur, but medium volatility means the game doesn’t feel completely suspended during quieter stretches. The soundtrack is calm and atmospheric, picking up energy during active tumble sequences.

Hearts Of Venus Bonus Features and Free Spins

Free Spins trigger when 3, 4, 5 or 6 Scatter symbols land anywhere on screen simultaneously, awarding 6 free spins with a starting Multiplier Boost of x2, x4, x8 or x16 respectively – placed across the entire 30-position grid from the first spin.

The critical difference from the base game is persistence. During Free Spins, multiplier positions remain in place for the entire feature rather than resetting between spins. Every tumble that produces a win on top of an existing multiplier position increases that position’s value by the current Multiplier Boost amount. The earlier spins in a round can feel tentative near a starting x2 Boost; the game becomes considerably more interesting as the grid accumulates developed positions across multiple spins.

Scatter collection during the feature drives Boost escalation. Every 3 Scatters collected in the round raise the Multiplier Boost to the next level in the doubling sequence and award 2 additional free spins. When the Boost reaches x1024, 10 additional spins are awarded instead and the Boost does not increase further. Weak 6-spin rounds can finish before multipliers develop meaningfully; stronger runs – particularly those starting with 5 or 6 Scatters – begin with a substantial grid advantage.

Special Bets and Super Spins

Hearts of Venus offers a Special Bets menu that substantially changes how each spin plays. Normal play runs at a standard 20x bet multiplier. The Ante Bet at 60x is the most practical option: it places more Scatter symbols on the reels, making the natural Free Spins trigger roughly 10 times more likely. For players planning extended sessions, the Ante Bet makes the bonus chase considerably more manageable given the natural frequency of 1 in 439.19 spins.

The three Super Spin options are a different proposition entirely. Super Spin 1 (at approximately 400x total bet per the game documentation) populates every position with a random multiplier at the start – so the tumble sequence starts with multiplier coverage across the whole grid, and the Multiplier Boost is double the randomly chosen starting multiplier (up to x1024). Super Spin 2 sets every position to x32 with a x64 Boost. Super Spin 3 sets every position to x128 with a x256 Boost. Note that all three Super Spin modes disable Free Spins entirely – they function as isolated premium rounds rather than an alternate path to the bonus.

Super Spin 1 can be entertaining as a single-spin gamble given the randomised starting coverage. Super Spin 2 and 3 carry premium price points that make them difficult to use regularly, but the visual impression of a full x128 grid from the opening spin is undeniably dramatic.

Buy Feature Options

Three bonus buy options are available. The Standard Free Spins purchase at 100x guarantees 3 Scatter symbols and represents the floor entry with a x2 starting Boost. Random Free Spins at 250x allows 3, 4, 5 or 6 Scatters to land randomly, adding variety to the starting position. It also includes a heart gamble mechanic: players can attempt to double the starting Multiplier Boost (and the Boost step size) up to a maximum of x128, with roughly 50% odds at each stage. Super Free Spins at 400x guarantees 5 Scatter symbols and starts with an x8 grid Boost across all positions.

Of the three, the Random Free Spins option at 250x offers the best balance of price, starting-position variety, and the gamble decision layer. The Super Free Spins at 400x delivers the strongest guaranteed starting position; the Standard at 100x is the weakest entry point, with a x2 Boost providing limited immediate advantage.

Collector Symbol

The Collector symbol forms part of the Scatter collection system during Free Spins, tracking the number of Scatter symbols landed during the feature to determine when the Multiplier Boost escalates to the next level. Three collected Scatters trigger a Boost upgrade and 2 additional spins, creating the escalating mid-feature moments the game’s design pivots on.

Our Honest Verdict

Overall Rating: 7.7/10

Hearts of Venus is a well-constructed medium-volatility entry from Pragmatic Play in the Scatter Pays, tumbling-multiplier-grid format. The base game is comfortable rather than gripping – hit frequency at 1 in 3.49 keeps smaller wins appearing, and the multiplier spots add interest to individual spins without transforming them. The Free Spins mode is where the design comes alive: persistent multiplier positions building across an extended round, combined with the Scatter-driven Boost escalation, create genuine anticipation in a way the base game doesn’t quite reach. The Super Free Spins (5-Scatter start, x8 grid Boost from spin one) showed the best results in our session – a third collected Scatter landing with two spins remaining pushed the Boost to x16 and added two more spins, letting developed multiplier positions do their work. The RTP holds at 96.50% across every game mode including all bonus purchases and Super Spins, and the 25,000x max win ceiling is plausible within the mathematics, though the 1 in 40 million probability keeps it firmly theoretical. For bonus buy, the Random Free Spins at 250x offers the most interesting entry with its gamble layer; Super Spin 2 and 3 carry costs that make them occasional rather than routine choices. The romantic mythological setting works cleanly alongside the mathematical structure. Hearts of Venus suits players who enjoy watching multiplier grids develop and pay out over the course of a Free Spins round – those after a simpler payline mechanic or more frequent natural bonuses without Ante Bet will find it less accommodating. The Ante Bet at 60x is the most practical configuration for chasing the feature organically, and the game’s best moments consistently belong to the Free Spins round when Scatter collection drives the Boost into its higher stages.
