Base Game & Features
Homeo of Thor is a highly volatile 6-reel, 5-row Video Slot which operates a Cluster Pays mechanic rather than pay lines or ways to win.
Wins occur in a cluster formation when 5-26 matching symbols land horizontally or vertically adjacent on the grid. The 9 high and low-paying symbols consist of Viking icons and card suits (A-10), awarding fixed payouts between 0.1x and 500x your bet.
Special symbols include Wilds, which substitute for all paytable symbols and award up to 1,000x your bet for 30 Wilds in a cluster win.
Each winning cluster activates an Avalanche Feature, which removes all winning symbols and replaces them with new ones from above. This continues until no new cluster wins are present.
Total Win Bar
During each spin, all wins are collected into a Total Win Bar above the main grid.
In addition, the Global Multiplier is applied to the total combined value at the end of a spin sequence, multiplying the collected win amount by its current multiplier.
Global Multiplier
The Global Multiplier begins at x1 and can be increased by Multiplier symbols that appear on the grid. With each new spin, the current Multiplier is reset to x1.
Symbol Transformation
After each winning combination occurs, the squares behind each winning symbol will illuminate. If a Mjolnir symbol is present, it will activate all highlighted squares after each win evaluation.
Once active, each highlighted square will reveal matching Paytable symbols or special Coin Prizes. Please note that coin prizes may also reveal Multiplier, Collector, and Scatter symbols alongside them.
The Mjolnir symbol can only land once per spin, including an Avalanche event. In addition, any new winning clusters caused by revealed symbols will not receive a highlighted square.
Each Coin Prize can reveal the following values:
- Bronze Coins: 1x, 2x, 5x
- Silver Coins: 10x, 25x, 50x, 75x
- Gold Coins: 100x, 500x, 1,000x
After each Coin Prize and special symbol is revealed, the Multiplier symbols will add their values to the Global Multiplier. The available values fall between x1 and x100.
Once all Multipliers have been applied, new Coin Prizes and/or Special symbols are revealed in their place. Alternatively, in Free Spins, the highlighted squares can reveal FS Scatters, awarding +1, +2, or +3 Free Spins.
If a Collector symbol is present, it will collect the total value of all Coin Prizes at the end of the symbol transformation. This creates empty squares so that they can spin again to reveal new values/special symbols.

Players outside the UK jurisdiction can access a number of Featurespins & Bonus Buy options from the following:

Valhalla
In this round, the same base game mechanics are followed; however, the Global Multiplier and Highlighted Squares remain persistent until the end of the feature.
Highlighted squares will not reset even after a Mjolnir symbol has activated them. Lastly, +1, +2, or +3 Free Spins can be won during the symbol transformation feature.
Our Honest Verdict
For a game with strong Norse Mythology roots, paying close attention to the legendary Thor, we find it strange that he never appears, not even once. Fortunately, we’re happy to settle for his Mjolnir and the power it imposes on the grid.
During gameplay, we were ecstatic to see a little of Le Bandit and the Symbol Transformation feature here. Although on the same wavelength as Le Bandit, Backseat Gaming has adapted the highlighted squares to reveal regular paytable symbols, in addition to Coin Prizes.
Our only dismay is that once winning paytable symbols are revealed and removed, the symbol transformation feature does not highlight additional squares or allow for another Mjolnir symbol to hit – it’s quite literally a ‘one and done’ situation.
In both the Free Spins modes, the symbol transformation is the highlight of gameplay, only with certain modifications to enhance its overall appeal.
During Odin’s Watch, the Global Multiplier remains persistent, while all highlighted squares reset after activation. Ideally, you don’t want to be triggering the Symbol Transformation feature until you’ve collected a decent amount of highlighted squares to achieve maximum potential.
Alternatively, Valhalla Free Spins offers a persistent global multiplier and highlighted squares, so all you need to focus on is landing those Mjolnir symbols to activate them. It can be disappointing when you’ve built up almost a full grid of highlighted squares, and it fails to deliver before the round ends.
All in all, Home of Thor is a great subsitute for Le Bandit and likewise titles, offering improved gameplay and highly sought-after statistics, including a pleasent max win cap of 15,000x your bet.
