Base Game & Features
Jaws of Justice is a highly volatile slot from Hacksaw Gaming, revealing 5 reels, 4 rows, and 14 fixed pay lines. Wins are created by landing 3, 4, or 5 identical symbols on consecutive reels, starting from reel 1.
The game’s highest-paying symbol is the Shark, followed by the Dinosaur, Tiger, Snake, Rhino, and A, K, Q, J, & 10 royals. Each spin that results in a winning combination awards a fixed payout between 0.1x and 10x your bet.
Wild symbols appear on all reels and substitute for any paytable symbol when completing a winning combination. Alternatively, FS Scatters are the gateway to several Free Spins modes, which cannot appear in the same spin as Laser Shark symbols.
Laser Sharks
When a Laser Shark symbol lands in view, it will only appear on the 4th row of each reel. Once the reels have settled, all Laser Shark symbols in view will fire a beam in 1 of 3 directions: up, down, left, or right.
Once each laser beam is finished, all paytable symbols along its path are transformed into Wilds. These symbols will either remain Wild or upgrade into a Multiplier Wild between x1 and x200.
If a Laser Beam hits an existing Wild symbol, it will automatically gain a random Multiplier from the above values. Alternatively, laser beams that hit a Multiplier Wild will have their values increased, whilst Wilds that are part of the same win will add their values together before being applied to the win.
Force Fields
Throughout gameplay, you will come into contact with 3 Force Fields, located on the left, top, and right edges of the matrix. If a Laser Shark symbol activates and its beam hits a Force Field, its laser will continue in a new direction at its current angle, transforming paytable symbols in its path.
When a Laser Shark triggers a Force Field head-on, the beam will bounce in the same direction it came from, adding Multipliers to all transformed Wild symbols. Alternatively, if a beam hits another Laser Shark symbol, it awards a random Multiplier.
Once all wins have been paid out, the Laser Shark symbol and all converted Wilds are removed in the next spin.
Jaws of Justice: Free Spins
Activating the Killer Cosmos Bonus requires 3 FS Scatters to land in the base game, awarding 10 Free Spins. Following the same mechanics as in the base game, this session offers an increased chance of landing Laser Shark symbols.
When 2 or 3 FS Scatters fall in the same spin, an additional +2 and +4 Free Spins are awarded.
Chompocalypse
The Chompocalypse Bonus is activated when 4 FS Scatters land in the same base game spin, awarding 10 Free Spins.
Again, this bonus follows the same mechanics as the Killer Cosmos Bonus. In addition, Laser Shark symbols, once active, will fire beams in two different directions throughout spins.

Our Honest Verdict
Jaws of Justice ends up feeling like a fairly unique release for Hacksaw Gaming. The use of shark weaponry to deliver Wilds is clever and playful, giving the game a different rhythm compared to the usual Hacksaw style. It is a small twist, but it adds personality and keeps the core mechanics feeling fresh.
The reflective reel edges are where Jaws of Justice really stands out. There are only 4 Force Fields within the entire frame, which appear in the corners, and everything else is live. Sharks can bounce from one side to another and even back toward the reels for higher Multiplier chances. It creates a sense of momentum and unpredictability that fits the theme perfectly.
The original Free Spins mode stays intentionally simple, with an increased chance of Laser Sharks, while the advanced Free Spins mode steps things up with beams firing in two directions. In classic Hacksaw fashion, there is also a hidden Free Spins mode. This mirrors the Chompocalypse Bonus, only it guarantees a Laser Shark symbol on every spin, giving it serious potential.
