Lightning Fortunes Cashpots – Tap n Cash Slot Review
You’re standing on a rooftop terrace above the Las Vegas Strip at night, a replica Eiffel Tower glowing purple over the hotels, and the only thing between you and a payout is a giant gold lightning bolt studded with marquee bulbs. Lightning Fortunes Cashpots – Tap n Cash has no reels at all: the whole game is that bolt, and the winking purple smiley tucked against it is as close as it comes to a second character.
It comes from Coin Machine Gaming, the studio behind Cash Court – Tap n Cash and Cash Hog – Turbo Tap. Stakes run from 0.10 to 0.25, the RTP is 96.00%, volatility is Very High, and prizes land on 18.71% of taps. The whole storm is wired into that bolt.
Base Game & Features
Instead of reels there are 18 prize nodes built into the tower. You tap to charge it up, and when the lightning unleashes it awards between three and 10 prizes, all drawn at random. Every node shows a cash amount calculated from your bet value, so the ladder scales with whatever you’re staking.
Prize Nodes
Each of the 18 nodes pays a fixed multiple of your bet when the tower’s charge reveals it, from the top of the ladder down:
- 30x your bet
- 25x your bet
- 20x your bet
- 15x your bet
- 12x your bet
- 10x your bet
- 5x your bet
- 4x your bet
- 3x your bet
- 2.5x your bet
- 2x your bet
- 1.4x your bet
- 1.2x your bet
- 1x your bet
- 0.8x your bet
- 0.6x your bet
- 0.4x your bet
- 0.2x your bet
The shape of that ladder matters more than its length. The lower half is dense with small change, and only the top few steps turn a charge into a proper result, especially with a multiplier landed on top.
The ladder and the Cashpots are the main yardsticks for what a round can pay. With Very High volatility and a hit rate of 18.71%, most taps find nothing at all. The ones that connect can stack several nodes into a single charge.
Random Multiplier
Every tap carries a chance of activating a random multiplier, unannounced:
- The multiplier is drawn randomly from 2x to 5x
- It amplifies whatever the tower’s charge has revealed
- Lightning arcs across the nodes when it lands
Because the multiplier applies to the charge’s total rather than to a single node, it’s worth most on the full reveals. A three-prize charge that catches a 5x can outrank a five-prize charge that catches nothing.
Batch Taps
The Batch Taps control lets you choose how many taps play out in a single bet, up to a maximum of 100. The rules around it:
- A batch counts as a single bet
- Your total bet is your bet size multiplied by the number of taps
- A batch can’t be stopped once the bet is placed
- A counter shows the taps remaining while it plays out
That lock-in is the one real commitment the format asks of you. A cold batch of 100 taps runs all the way to the end whether the storm is with you or not, so the choice of batch size matters more than anything else you’ll decide.
Bonus Features in Lightning Fortunes Cashpots – Tap n Cash
Three Cashpots sit above the tower: Mini, Maxi and Mega. Every tap has a chance of triggering the coin dispenser on the tower, which shoots a coin at one of the three. It can happen on a win or a loss, and multiple coins can fire from a single tap.
When a coin lands, it either increases that Cashpot’s value or pays the amount out as a win. More than one Cashpot can be won at the same time, and if a Cashpot lands during a winning tap, its amount is added to the base game winnings. After a payout the pot resets to a base value and starts climbing again.
In play, the Mini and Maxi pots tick upward tap by tap, while the Mega holds steady. That reset-and-rebuild loop means the pots you see are always mid-journey, and a Mega sitting at its base is still very much in play.
Cashpot Boost
The Cashpot Boost button sits in the base game, and activating it increases your chance of triggering a coin and winning a Cashpot. It costs you: while the Boost is active, your bet amount is increased.
If that increase would push you past the game’s maximum bet, your bet and tap count reset to the lowest available settings. The RTP with Cashpot Boost active is 96.00%, identical to the standard game.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Playing this is about as close as a slot gets to flipping a coin on a Vegas rooftop. You set your stake and your taps, hit play, and watch the storm do its thing – and that hands-off simplicity is exactly why somebody picks it over a reel game.
The Cashpot loop is the best thing here. The pots grow on every tap whether you win or not, more than one can pay in a single round, and a win resets them rather than ending them, so there’s always something climbing on the screen.
The ceiling is the problem. With stakes capped at 0.25 and no way to end a losing run of taps early, the ladder’s highest rung is the most the display will ever reveal.
This is one for instant-win players who like tiny, fixed stakes and a jackpot quietly rebuilding in front of them. Anyone chasing big per-round exposure will find it a thin storm. For a low-stakes night on the terrace above the Strip, though, the lightning’s worth a tap.
