Links of Flame King Millions Slot Review
Embers drift up past a golden trophy bowl stuffed with cut gems, fire chewing at the bottom of the reels while a violet starburst holds the logo aloft. The gilt is a clue: Links of Flame King Millions from Slingshot Studios doesn’t much care whether its paylines pay. The lines are here to keep the reels turning while coins and tokens feed the collections, and the real game plays out on the meters above and beside them.
The studio has run this shape before in Links of Ra CASHINGO King Millions, with Links of Ra and Leprechaun Links covering similar ground. This one runs a 5×4 grid, 40 fixed paylines, high volatility and a hit rate of roughly one spin in three. The money is meant to come from the jackpots, and the flames know it.
Base Game & Features
Five reels and four rows carry 40 fixed paylines, all active on every spin. Wins pay left to right from the first reel, and only the highest combination counts on each line. Scatter wins are multiplied by the total bet and added to any line wins.
The wild substitutes for everything except the Scatter, Coin and King Millions tokens, and it can form its own winning combinations. It appears in both the base game and Free Spins. That’s its whole job, and it does it without ceremony.
Power Stacks
Every spin, in the base game and in Free Spins, symbols can be randomly Power Stacked across all reels. In the base game, every symbol except Scatters, Wilds and King Millions tokens can stack. In Free Spins the stacking narrows to Wilds and Coins only, which points the whole round at the collections rather than the lines.
Stacking raises the chance of a winning combination landing, though it doesn’t change what those combinations are worth. It keeps the base game moving, which on high volatility is most of what’s asked of it.
Links of Flame King Millions Bonuses & Jackpots
Free Spins
Three, four or five Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels award 10 free spins. Scatters appear in the base game only, and the round cannot be re-triggered. It plays out automatically at the last bet placed, with winnings collected as they land.
The twist is the stacking. Every free spin Power Stacks Wilds and Coins, so the round feeds the coin collections below. Line wins here are incidental.
ULTRA Link&Win Meter
Landing four or five Coin symbols in the base game or Free Spins fills the ULTRA Link&Win meter. The meter’s progress at the moment the feature triggers decides which of three modes you get, and the modes change what the round is capable of. It’s a collection mechanic with a destination, and it gives near-misses a purpose.
ULTRA Link&Win Feature
Six or more Coin symbols anywhere on the reels trigger the feature, which plays on Coin symbols and blank positions only. The triggering coins lock in place and three respins begin. Any further coin holds and sets the respins back to three; the round ends when they run dry or the board fills.
All three modes start with three extra rows active, and each adds something on top:
- Max Mode – three additional rows and nothing else
- Multiplier Mode – three additional rows plus a guaranteed Persistent 2x Multiplier Booster Coin
- Collect Mode – three additional rows plus a guaranteed Persistent Cash Collect Booster Coin, and it empties the meter
The coins themselves come in three kinds, each paying its own way:
- Cash Coins – random values multiplied by the total bet: 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x and 12x
- MINOR Prize Coin – a 200x multiplier value, one per feature at most
- MINI Prize Coin – a 15x multiplier value, one per feature at most
Prize Coins count down once per spin, and any that finish their countdown before the feature ends are paid out with it. Cash Coins are all awarded when the round closes.
Booster Coins are where the modes earn their names:
- Persistent Cash Collect Booster – sweeps every Cash Coin and Cash Collect Booster into a running total on each spin, for the rest of the round
- Cash Collect Booster – banks the coins already landed into the current spin’s result; up to three can appear
- Persistent 2x Multiplier Booster – randomly doubles up to four Cash Coins on every spin until the feature ends
- 2x Multiplier Booster – randomly doubles up to four Cash Coins for the current spin only; up to three can appear
- Unlock Booster – activates one additional row, with up to three available
- Extra Chance Booster – awards one free respin when none remain
Only one persistent booster can land per feature, and neither multiplier touches the MINOR or MINI prizes. The collectors can’t sweep them either. The prize coins stand apart from the whole booster economy.
King Millions Bonus
A King Millions token can land on reel five in the base game, one per spin at most, and it pays nothing itself. Each token grows the collection pot and carries a chance to trigger the bonus wheel. The pot-filling animation is purely for show; the trigger chance is what matters, and it rises with your bet size.
Trigger it and you spin the wheel for one of two progressive jackpots, Grand or Major, or a cash prize between 7x and 100x your bet. The feature is base game only and can’t fire on the same spin as any other feature. The jackpots are funded by a slice of wagers, and wins are independent of bet size.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7/10
A session here is long stretches of feeding the fire, waiting for the moment six coins land and the board goes quiet for the respins. That moment is the reason anybody picks this over a straight paylines game, and the meter makes the waiting mean something: near-misses build towards a mode rather than vanishing.
The three-mode system is the strength, because the mode you’ve earned changes what the round can do rather than just making it bigger. The weakness is the reels around it. Line wins are gap-fillers on a high volatility game with one spin in three paying, and the jackpot you’re building towards is the least likely prize on the wheel.
This is a game for collectors, players who enjoy watching meters fill towards a visible destination and don’t need the reels to carry them. Anyone who wants their money back through the lines will find those wins thin on the ground. The fire, for what it’s worth, is genuinely well kept.
