After basking in the Egyptian rays of Links of Ra at the end of December 2021, we’re returning to the sands for a third, and possibly final, time in what is now considered a new series in the catalogue.
Aside from the obvious yet insightful Egyptian theme, each release is touched by the Link & Win Feature. However, this release has received some much-needed TLC in light of a new Cashingo mechanic.
Whether it proves to be a worthy addition is yet to be confirmed, but we’re confident it’s a step in the right direction for the series. The iconic Egyptian theme has stood the test of time in many timeless slots, but can it continue to do so in Links of Ra Cashingo?

Base Game & Features
Links of Ra Cashingo is a highly volatile 5-reel, 5-row Video Slot with 40 fixed pay lines. Wins are configured when 3-5 matching symbols land from left to right, starting from reel 1.
Paytable symbols consist of 5 Animal/Egyptian Icons and 4 coloured Gems, each producing wins between 0.4x and 20x your bet, where applicable. In addition, the game has 2 Special symbols that can land on the reels during spins.
- Wilds: Pays between 1.5x and 8x your bet, substituting for all symbols except Scatter and Coin symbols
- Scatters: Pay in any position and appear only in the base game
Power Stacks
The Power Stacks feature is available during every spin in the base game and Free Spins mode, allowing symbols to be randomly Power Stacked.
All paytable symbols except Scatters, Wilds, and Coins can be selected for the Power Stack feature and are available on all reels. However, only Wild and Coin symbols can be Power Stacked during Free Spins.
Hot Mode
In the base game, the Hot Mode feature may randomly be awarded.
Once active, a free Coin symbol is held by the Coin Collect meter. The number of Coin symbols needed to enhance the Link & Win meter or Ultra Link & Win bonus is reduced by 1.
During Hot Mode, landing a number of Coin symbols will trigger/enhance individual modes and functions as follows:
- Ultra Link & Win: Only 5+ Coin symbols are needed to trigger this feature
- Ultra Link & Win Meter: Landing 3-4 Coin symbols will contribute toward filling the Ultra Link & Win meter
The feature ends when a random number of spins has been played out or when the Ultra Link & Win/Free Spins mode has been triggered. Please note that this feature is only available in the base game.
Cashingo Feature
In the base game and Free Spins mode, Cashingo Coins & Jackpots are needed to populate the Cashingo grid.
Each Cahsingo Coin to appear will be transferred to the corresponding position of the Cashingo grid. If a coin already exists, the new value will be added to the current Cashingo Coin on the grid.
Completing a horizontal, vertical, or 4-corner diagonal set of Cashingo Coins will award a cash prize, where up to 4 can be completed in a single spin. Alternatively, completing a set with 1 or more Jackpot Coins will award the associated prize.
The value of Cashingo Coins varies between 0.5x and 12x your bet, and up to 5,000x your bet for Jackpot Coins.
Ultra Link & Win
Landing 6 or more Coin symbols in the base game triggers the Ultimate Link & Win feature, awarding 3 Respins. Once active, the triggering Coin symbols will be held in their current positions, including any new ones to land. Each new Coin symbol that appears will reset the remaining Respins to 3.
Every Ultra Link & Win round displays a Coin symbol with a random cash prize between 0.5x and 12x your bet. Furthermore, special Jackpot Prizes of Mini (15x), Minor (50x), Major (500x), and Grand (5,000x) can be won.
Up to 1 of each Jackpot Prize can be accumulated during any Ultra Link & Win session. At the end of the feature, the total combined value of all Coin and Jackpot symbols in view is awarded.
Ultra Link & Win Modes
In the base game, every 4-5 Coin symbols to hit will contribute towards filling the Ultra Link & Win meter. When the meter is full, the next Ultra Link & Win feature will activate in Max Mode, Multiplier Mode, or Collect Mode.
- Max Mode: Begins the round with +3 additional rows active
- Multiplier Mode: Activates all 3 additional rows and guarantees a persistent x2 Multiplier booster coin
- Collect Mode: Begins with all 3 additional rows active and guarantees a persistent Cash Collect booster coin
The Cash Collect booster gathers the sum of all Booster and Cash Coins into a total value during every spin. Up to 1 persistent Cash Collect booster or a x2 Multiplier can appear during this feature.
The individual Jackpot Prizes can also be collected by the persistent Cash Collect booster, which is awarded at the end of the feature. Please note that up to 3 Cash Collect boosters can appear during the entire round.
Up to three x2 Multipliers can randomly double the value of up to 4 Cash Coins per spin, while the Jackpot Prizes are exempt. Alternatively, the Unlock Booster Coin can award +1 additional row to the feature, up to a maximum of 3.
The Extra Chance booster awards +1 Respin, which will activate once all remaining spins are depleted. Only special symbols, as mentioned above, are available during this feature.
Bonus Buy
Players outside the UK jurisdiction can benefit from the following Bonus Buy options.
- Ultra Link & Win: Trigger a standard Ultra Link & Win bonus for 50x your bet
- Max Mode: Triggers with all 3 additional rows active for 95x your bet
- Multiplier Mode: Guarantees all 3 additional rows and a persistent x2 Multiplier booster for 120x your bet
- Collect Mode: Awards 3 additional rows and a guaranteed persistent Cash Collect booster for 200x your bet
Each of the above options operates at a fixed RTP of 96%. This game has a solid 13,282x your bet. If a game round exceeds this, the current mode ends, and the player returns to the base game with the full amount.
Links of Ra Cashingo Free Spins
Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters in the base game awards 10 Free Spins.
In this round, every Coin and Wild symbol that hits is under the influence of the Power Stack feature. All wins that are awarded at this time will be added to the base game wins.
Should a Cashingo win occur in conjunction with this feature, the Cashingo win will be awarded before the Free Spins mode begins. Please note that this round cannot be retriggered.
Our Honest Verdict
Like the previous instalments, Slingshot Studios has indulged Links of Ra Cashingo in high-quality aesthetics, graphics, and a variety of capturing sound effects. Although the Egyptian theme remains consistent here, the backdrop is slightly darker than those from the 2 previous releases.
More importantly, Slingshot Studios has worked their magic by entwining a new Cashingo mechanic within the base game and Free Spin mode. This feature and its layout are indicative of a bingo card; only the winning lines are marked for you.
The aim of the Cashingo grid is simple. All you need are Cashingo Coins and Jackpots to appear on the reels so they can take their corresponding place on the Cashingo grid. Once a full line is apparent (in designated patterns), the total value of all cash prizes is yours.
However, this can be a lengthy process, which is why you’ll be thankful for the Ultra Link & Win feature and Free Spins mode. What’s interesting about the Ultra Link & Win feature is that it has 3 unique variants available, as well as a functional Hot Mode.
If you’re in a position to access Bonus Buys, you can skip the grind and head straight into each feature, but the more advanced the function, the higher the price tag. Our only argument is that the max win potential here is significantly lower than its predecessors.
It all depends on what you’re hoping to achieve when playing – Are you looking to make a sizable profit, or are you here for fun and a change of pace? Either way, it’s something you should consider before spinning the reels.
All in all, Links of Ra Cashingo has a number of positive differences that make it stand out from its predecessors, but it’s not the grandest of games under ownership from Slingshot Studios.
