Loot Boost Slot Review 2024
Games Global’s proprietary Link&Win bonus feature has been dusted off for another outing courtesy of partner studio Slingshot Studios, who invite players into a dream-like, quasi-8-bit world plucked straight from the 90s with diminutive islands dotted about a picturesque blue lake and fluffy white clouds rolling by overhead. The charm is laid on thick, melding retro-flavoured aesthetics with some up-to-date gameplay.
Don’t be fooled by the game’s simplistic, arcade-inspired appearance, though. Under the hood lies a suite of features offering up multi-layered gameplay with a 4,000x the bet max win on top.

Loot Boost Base Game and Features
With a medium volatile engine dictating affairs, play is hosted on a 5×4 game board with 40 pay lines supplied for win evaluations. Scoring a win is accomplished by landing 3 or more matching symbols across a payline in a left-to-right direction beginning at reel 1. Low-paying symbols are served by the four classic playing card suits: clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades, while an array of fruit in the form of cherry, lemon, plum, grapes, and watermelon have been selected for the premiums, in keeping with the old-school vibes. Hitting a win made up of 5 matching watermelons fetches 8x your stake – the most of all the fruit.
Rounding off the paytable is the Wild symbol, which is capable of stepping in for all regular symbols and which also pays out the equivalent of 10 times the bet when it makes 5OAK wins of itself.
Power Stacks
On every spin during the base game and Free Spins, it’s possible for symbols to stack up to 4 rows high across all reels. Note that in the base game, all symbols bar Wilds and scatters have stacking capabilities; whereas Coin symbols and Wilds are the only symbols that can be stacked while Free Spins are active.
Ultra Link&Win Feature
Catch at least 6 Coin symbols during a base game spin to initiate the Ultra Link&Win bonus extra. The round sees triggering coins lock in place while all other cells are spun. The round functions as a hold&win style bonus where you begin with 3 refilling lives. Each time a new Coin symbol hits, it remains fixed in place for the remainder of the feature and your lives are reset to 3. Once your 3 lives run out or the entire grid is filled with Coins, the bonus concludes. Then, the value of the Coins present is aggregated, multiplied by your stake amount, and awarded.
Regular Coins possess multiplier values of 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 8, 10x, and 12x and are complemented by their more lucrative counterparts the Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand Coins that bring respective values of 40x, 100x, 500x, and 1,000x the stake. Up to 4 regular Coins can also see their value doubled should the special 2x Multiplier Boost Coin fall at random during the feature.
In addition, keep your eyes peeled for the Unlock Booster Coin making an appearance. If this lands, an additional row is unlocked at the top of the reels while 1 extra spin is granted as well.
There’s also a chance to unlock an additional 3 rows from the base game. This occurs when you land 4 or 5 Coins which get collected in the Max Mode Ultra Link&Win Meter. Then, the next time Ultra Link & Win triggers and the meter is full, the round kicks off in Max Mode with 3 additional rows in play to enhance your win potential.
Loot Boost Free Spins
We’re not done with the game’s extensive line-up of features just yet.
Make use of 10 Free Spins for landing 3, 4, or 5 scatters in the base game, and enjoy stacked Wilds and Coins for the full duration of the round. Retriggers aren’t a possibility, though, unfortunately.
Loot Boost Bonus Buy
Those of you located outside of the UK eager to dive into the bonus action can do so by exchanging the equivalent of 45 times the stake via a Bonus Buy option, which grants you instant access to either Free Spins or the Ultra Link & Win feature depending on your choice.
Or, for the slightly higher fee of 80x your bet, you can enter Max Mode Ultra Link&Win with the benefit of 3 additional rows active from the start.
Loot Boost: Our Verdict
Bolting on a menagerie of features doesn’t necessarily translate into a hugely playable game, as evidenced by this Slingshot Studios entry. The game functions fine, offering boosted wins in the base game via the Power Stacks feature, which takes on added potency during Free Spins, while the Ultra Link & Win round offers up plenty of potential with jackpot-style coins worth up to 1,000x dangled in front of willing spinners.
But despite the fancy name, the round is essentially a glamourized hold & win feature that does nothing out of the ordinary that we haven’t seen a thousand times or more.
And for the glut of features in store plus additional rows available in Max Mode, the top payout has been kept on a leash to a degree, clocking in at the so-so figure of 4,000x the bet. Being a medium volatile slot, that’s fine and all, and there’s enough multi-layered gameplay in the offing here to pull in fans of more complex work along with anyone enamored by retro-themed play able to evoke pangs of nostalgia.
Don’t expect Link&Win to set the casino world on fire any time soon, but it has its somewhat limited appeal, and we’re unlikely to see the last of the feature just yet.
