Majestic King Ice Kingdom Slot Review
An acacia leans in from the left, snow drifts over the plain, and the reels sit inside a frame crusted with frost: a savannah slot wearing a freeze it never explains. That ice is the whole of the new idea, and it’s a good thing the doubling engine underneath doesn’t need help, because almost nothing else has moved. Very few 25-line games let a single payline build to ten symbols, and Majestic King Ice Kingdom is built around exactly that.
It’s Spinomenal‘s frost-caked sequel to Majestic King, and the engine underneath hasn’t changed: it runs a 5×4 grid with 25 fixed lines, an RTP of 92.16% and a top pay of 1,200x the total bet on a ten-symbol Elephant line.
Elsewhere the studio’s catalogue runs from Tiger Charms to the Hold & Hit 3×3 series. Snow on the savannah is the novelty here, and the novelty is most of what’s new.
Base Game and Double Symbols
Play runs across 25 fixed lines on five reels and four rows, so every line is live on every spin. All symbols pay left to right from the leftmost reel, only the highest win counts on each line, and wins are multiplied by the bet per line. Where several lines qualify in one round, each one adds to the total.
The lion wild substitutes for every symbol except double symbols, the Free Spins symbol and the Bonus symbol, and five wilds on a winning line pay 200x the bet per line. It can also arrive stacked while the reels are still spinning.
How Double Symbols Work
Every symbol in the game can land as a double, and each double counts as two single symbols when forming winning combinations. That’s why the paytable climbs all the way to ten-of-a-kind: a 25-line grid can build combos that need twice the usual symbols on one line.
It’s the system the original was built on, and it’s carried over untouched. A ten-symbol Elephant line is the dream scenario, and it’s one this grid can genuinely deliver.
Symbol Pays
Pays below are multiples of the total bet, and they run from three-of-a-kind up to the ten-symbol combos the double system makes possible:
- Elephant – 80x at three, 200x at five, 600x at seven, 1,200x at ten
- Vulture – 72x at three, 160x at five, 480x at seven, 1,040x at ten
- Giraffe – 64x at three, 140x at five, 400x at seven, 880x at ten
- Zebra – 56x at three, 120x at five, 320x at seven, 800x at ten
- A – 48x at three, 88x at five, 320x at seven, 480x at ten
- K and Q – 32x at three, 80x at five, 240x at seven, 400x at ten
- J and 10 – 20x at three, 60x at five, 200x at seven, 320x at ten
The ten-symbol Elephant line at 1,200x is the ceiling the game puts its name to, and it needs every one of those doubled symbols to land in step on a single line.
Reel Modifiers
Two modifiers can interrupt an ordinary spin:
- Stacked Wilds drops wilds onto the reels in stacked form while they’re still spinning, lifting the chance of a line landing
- Only Double Symbols turns every symbol on the grid into its double form for that spin
The second one is the more interesting of the pair. A full grid of doubles turns every near-miss into a live combination, and it’s the modifier most likely to produce the long pays this game is built around.
Free Spins
The scattered Majestic King symbol opens the free spins round when three or more land anywhere in the base game. Before a single spin plays out, a wheel decides two things at once: how many spins you get, between 10 and 40, and which of the four medium symbols stays double for the entire round.
The spins then run automatically, with the bet per line carried over from the round that triggered them. One permanently doubled medium symbol is a steady upgrade rather than a dramatic one, and the wheel deciding which symbol you get adds a moment of ceremony at the start.
The Bonus Game Meter
Three or more scattered Bonus symbols, again in the base game only, start the bonus game. It opens with three spins and a meter to fill, and the round plays out in steps:
- Scattered winning symbols are collected as they land
- Every five symbols collected fills one cell in the meter and increases the winnings
- Scattered +1 spin symbols add extra spins to the round
- Once all spins are done, the payout follows the last filled cell of the meter
It’s a round with a genuine arc. The meter climbs, the spins stretch, and the final reward isn’t fixed at the moment the feature triggers, which gives every collected symbol a reason to matter.
Buy Feature
A Buy Feature button sits next to the spin controls and purchases an immediate free spins round. Clicking it opens a window where the bet for the round can be adjusted, and the buy price is set according to that bet. Paying it triggers the free spins straight away, wheel and all.
Since the buy feeds the free spins round rather than the meter-based bonus game, it’s the wheel-decided spins and the doubled medium symbol you’re paying for, not the round with the longer build.
The game also carries the usual controls: autoplay with a configurable spin count and a pause button, plus a Turbo Mode toggle that shortens each round. During free spins the bet buttons lock, and while a spin is running the help and settings menus close.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.3/10
The day-to-day here is a patient grind under a frozen sky: most spins pay modestly, and the reason anybody sits down is the chance that a line doubles its way up to ten symbols and 1,200x. The snow is what catches the eye, but the doubling is what keeps you seated.
The bonus game is the strongest thing in it. Because the payout follows the last filled cell of the meter rather than the moment you triggered it, every collected symbol moves the finish line, and the +1 spins give a round genuine legs. Free spins are weaker by some distance; one doubled medium symbol for the duration is a thin upgrade for a round that plays itself.
The silence is the let-down, because the game publishes no volatility rating and no win ceiling, so you’re chasing that 1,200x line purely on feel. It’s a good fit for players who like a long build and a meter to fill, and a poor one for anyone who wants the odds stated up front. Under all that frost, the watering hole still holds up.
