Base Game & Features
Masked Treasures is a highly volatile video slot from Relax Gaming, featuring 5 reels, 3 rows, and 15 fixed pay lines. Paytable symbols trigger winning combinations when 3-5 identical instances land on reels 1-5.
The highest-paying symbol falls to the Leopard, followed by the Eagle, individual Aztec Tiles, & Gems. When a win is confirmed, a fixed payout between 0.5x and 50x your bet is awarded, where applicable.
In addition, Wild symbols, in the form of a Pyramid, award payouts of 2.5x, 10x, and 50x your bet for 3, 4, or 5-of-a-kind. Wild symbols substitute for all symbols except Scatters, Collect, & Super Collect symbols.
Ladder Feature
To the left of the matrix is a ladder of Cash Prizes between 1x and 3,000x your bet. To achieve any of the Cash Prizes from the ladder, players will need to land Collector symbols upon the reels.

- 4 Collectors: 5x your bet
- 5 Collectors: 15x your bet

When a minimum of 3 Collector symbols appear on the reels, it will highlight its corresponding Cash Prize before its value is awarded.
Alternatively, landing 3 or more Super Collector symbols will instantly trigger the Super Ladder Feature, where all Cash Prizes will illuminate, signifying the possibility of achieving a higher point on the ladder.
Jungle Jackpots

Masked Treasures Free Spins
The Free Spins mode is triggered when 3, 4, or 5 Scatters land in the base game. Before the session starts, players are taken to a special Improvement Zone, where a 6-section Wheel awaits.
If the Wheel stops in a Green Zone, you will progress to the next Wheel Level. Otherwise, landing in a Red Zone will result in the start of Free Spins, at the current Level achieved on the wheel.
Wheel progression varies for the number of triggering Scatters:
- 3 Scatters: Wheels 1-6 award 10 to 18 Free Spins, and a Global Multiplier between x1 and x10

The Improvement Zone could be considered a Gamble Mode of sorts, only you’re guaranteed entry into the Free Spins mode, regardless of whether you make it to the next Improvement Level or not.
Throughout this mode, the current Global Multiplier and remaining Free Spins are available above the matrix. Each winning combination is multiplied by the active Global Multiplier before being paid out. This continues until the end of the Free Spins session.
Our Honest Verdict
Relax Gaming is a software developer that puts players at the heart of every release it produces, achieving some of the best innovation, features, and mechanics in games like the Money Train series and its iconic Dream Drop Jackpot mechanic.
Only recently, though, we’ve noticed Relax Gaming has lost some of the spark they’re renowned for, but did they pull it back in Masked Treasures? To our disappointment, they did not. Sadly, Masked Treasures is a shell of what Relax Gaming can achieve, and we’re certain that loyal fans & followers will agree.
In terms of aesthetics, Masked Treasures feels somewhat outdated for Relax Gaming, and not in the intentional sense either. The graphics are not as sharp as we’d envisioned, nor do the thematics line up with traditional Relax Gaming aspects.
During the base game, you’ll find the main source of entertainment to be the Prize Collection feature, with the occasional Jungle Jackpot thrown in, if you’re lucky. This timeless feature has been manipulated many times, but it’s not the strongest or most potent of features, as we all know from Push Gaming’s 10 Swords.
Software developers like Relax Gaming & Push Gaming seemed to have dropped the ball with their recent instalments, and even though Push Gaming is yet to be pulled back from the edge, we’re forever hopeful that they will…in time. Is this the path Relax Gaming finds itself going down? Hopefully not.
All in all, Masked Treasures lacks the innovation and excitement we’ve often found in a Relax Gaming release, instead offering underwhelming features and a rather safe 5,000x max win potential.
