Megabars Jackpot King Slot Review
A glossy red cabinet sits in a violet void wallpapered with oversized casino chips, gold bars separating the reels, three ornate plaques promising the Royal Pot, the Jackpot King and the Regal Pot overhead. Megabars Jackpot King spends more on the frame than on the machine inside it. That’s Blueprint Gaming‘s wager here: a 5×3, 10-winline bar slot so plain it makes no argument for itself at all, betting the whole appeal on a progressive network bolted on top.
The gamble mostly works, because the pots do the selling. At a 94% RTP, the three climbing prizes above the reels carry the appeal, much as they do for Ted and Fishin’ Frenzy The Big Catch. Everything between bonuses is reels, bars and patience.
Base Game & Features
Ten numbered winlines run left to right across five reels and three rows, with a vertical strip of coloured discs, one to ten, marking each line down the left edge of the cabinet like bingo balls. Wins need three, four or five matching symbols from the left on consecutive reels. Only the highest combination counts on each line.
Line wins are multiplied by the value bet on the winning line, and wins across different lines add together. Scatter wins pay on top of reel wins. The bet menu offers a list of stake options that varies by operator configuration and currency, set through the total bet button before you spin.
There’s an autoplay function that runs spins automatically, one after the other, with the count chosen from the autoplay menu. It can be stopped at any time with the stop button. It switches itself off under three conditions:
- any bonus round starts, including Free Spins
- the set loss limit is reached
- a progressive pot is awarded
That last condition tells you where this game keeps its excitement. Everything between bonuses is clean, classic line-win play.
Three special symbols do the work of opening both bonus rounds, and each has its own route in:
- Free Spins symbol – a scatter that pays in addition to reel wins and triggers the Free Spins Bonus on a winning line
- Crown symbol – collected during the Jackpot King Deluxe Bonus to climb the win ladder of total bet multipliers
- Jackpot King Deluxe overlay symbols – five across reels one to five trigger the jackpot feature on any spin
The overlay symbols land stacked over the regular reels, so they can fire the jackpot feature regardless of what the winlines are doing. Two bonuses, two very different doors.
Megabars Jackpot King Bonuses & Jackpots
Free Spins
The bonus opens when a line of Free Spins symbols lands on adjacent reels. The more symbols on the line, the more spins you get, rising to a maximum of 50 free spins from a single trigger. It’s a generous ceiling for a classic-format slot.
The round plays through every awarded spin and then pays out the accumulated bonus winnings in one go. Spins run at the same bet as the spin that triggered entry. One rule matters more than the rest: free spins cannot retrigger during the feature, so the spin count you start with is the spin count you get.
Multiple features can be won in a single game, so a Free Spins round and a Jackpot King trigger can both land in the same session of spins. Each plays out in full, independently of the other.
Jackpot King Deluxe Bonus
Five Jackpot King Deluxe overlay symbols on reels one to five, on any spin, drop you into the crown collection. The reels keep spinning and every Crown symbol in view adds a rung to a win ladder of total bet multipliers. More crowns, bigger multiplier.
After any spin you choose an icon from the King’s treasure, and each pick reveals one of three outcomes:
- SPIN – spins the reels again, with any further Crowns adding to the ladder
- COLLECT – ends the feature and pays the Bonus Win reached on the ladder
- WHEEL KING – goes straight into the Wheel King round
The tension is in the picking. Every SPIN keeps the ladder climbing but risks the round ending, every COLLECT banks a sure multiplier, and the Wheel King icon skips you ahead to the biggest prize room. Collect 15 or more Crowns during the bonus and the Wheel King opens anyway.
Wheel King Feature & Progressive Pots
The Wheel King is a tombola-style wheel split between big win multiplier segments and progressive pot segments. One spin decides it: either a large total bet multiplier or one of the three jackpots. The Jackpot King Deluxe jackpots can only be won here, never elsewhere in the feature.
Three progressive pots sit on the top bar, each climbing as contributions come in:
- Royal Pot – guaranteed to be won by its Must Be Won By value
- Jackpot King – the headline pot of the network, reset to its reserve when won
- Regal Pot – also carries a Must Be Won By guarantee
Each pot is funded by contributions from player stakes, and when one is won it resets to its reserve amount and starts climbing again. Your chances of landing a pot increase as its value grows.
The pot system is available on any stake, on any game plugged into the Jackpot King Deluxe network, so every spin of this cabinet feeds the same three prizes. Simultaneous wins can’t happen. If two players trigger at once, the first takes the full pot and the second takes the reserve plus further contributions.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.9/10
Playing Megabars Jackpot King is mostly watching ten winlines tick over while three pots you can’t reach yet climb above your head. The one reason to sit down at this cabinet rather than a flashier one is that network: every spin, at any stake, is a ticket to the Wheel King and the progressives that only pay there.
Its strength is the crown ladder, and the reason is structure – the icon picks put a real decision in the round, bank or press, and 15 crowns forces the best room open. Its weakness is everything either side of it. The base game pays line wins and nothing else, and the chrome doesn’t make that interesting.
This is a slot for players who like their reels old-school and their prizes pooled, the kind who’ll happily grind a plain cabinet for a shot at a pot someone else fed. Anyone after modern mechanics between bonuses will find the wait long. For the fruit-machine faithful, though, the gleam on the frame is honest, and the ladder’s worth the patience.
