Base Game & Features
Mining Rush is a highly volatile 7×7 Video Slot with a Cluster Pays mechanic and bet sizes between £.€0.20 and £.€240 per spin. Other statistics include an overall RTP of 96.56% and a max win cap of 10,000x your bet. Lower RTP modules of 95.49% and 94.51% are also available.
All symbols pay in blocks of 5+ symbols when connected horizontally or vertically, awarding wins between 0.2x and 150x your bet. Winning clusters are removed and replaced with new symbols from above, via a Cascade Feature. This enables players to create additional wins in a single spin.
Nuggets Feature
Whenever 1-2 Scatter symbols appear on the grid with an active winning cluster, they transform into Nuggets with a level of 1, 2, 3, or 4. When a cascade event occurs, nugget symbols may reveal a random Cash Value between 1x and 1,000x your bet depending on the type.
Each time nuggets pay, +1 Point is added to them. For every 3 Points collected, the level will increase to the next available, except if the nugget is already at level 4.

- Level 2 (Silver) – 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x, 12x, 15x, or 20x your bet

Bonus Buy
Non-UK players can head into the Free Spins round for an additional 100x their bet. Once active, the next spin will deliver 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 Scatters onto the grid.
Free Spins
Landing 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 Scatters anywhere in the base game triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 8, 10, 12, 15, or 20 Free Spins respectively.
During this round, the initial Scatter symbols will transform into Nuggets with a random starting level, remaining on the grid for the entirety of the feature. Nuggets can randomly award a payout according to their level. When this happens, +1 Point is gained for levelling up.
Additional Scatter symbols that land will also transform into Nuggets, remaining in view for the entirety of the feature. For each new Scatter, a further +2 Free Spins is awarded.
Our Verdict
We’ll admit, that any slot Pragmatic Play creates using the Cluster Pays mechanic is a big ‘yes’ in our opinion. We’re not against their regular 5-reel slots, but there’s something about their cluster-paying titles that speaks volumes.
Joining the likes of Gems Bonanza and Fruit Party 2, Pragmatic Play’s latest gold-diggin’ slot, Mining Rush, offers a fancy Nugget Feature, Cascading reels, and a rewarding Free Spins round.
The nugget feature occurs when 1-2 Scatter symbols appear on the grid, failing to generate a 3rd for Free Spins. Depending on nugget levels, these beauties can award Cash Prizes worth up to 1,000x your bet. This feature comes as a consolation prize for failing to trigger Free Spins, which we’re happy to receive.
When the Free Spins round does trigger, all initial Scatter symbols transform into nuggets that stick to the grid throughout spins. Winning clusters cause nuggets to generate varying cash prizes depending on their current level, with the opportunity to level them up after 3 rewards are paid out.
During testing, we found it difficult to achieve a level above Silver, but the Cash Prizes that come with such a level are still very rewarding and satisfying. Most of the time, Scatter symbols start on the lowest (Bronze) level, but quickly build up to higher levels.
