Numero Uno Slot Review 2024
Get ready to rumble with a pack of brawny dogs in Games Global’s latest luchador-inspired slot, Numero Uno!
Luchador/Wrestling slots are few and far between, which is nice considering how many slots opt for the same style each and every time. In this particular instalment, Games Global has put the pups in the ring for a head to head battle for the title, but who is the top dog?
Let’s get ready to rumble in a slot with boosted wins, stacked wilds and more.
Numero Uno Base Game and Features
Numero Uno is a 5 reel slot with 243 ways to win. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbol type land from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.
The minimum bet available here is £/€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€120 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. Numero Uno has a theoretical RTP of 96.22%.
Although Numero Uno isn’t a Megaways slot, Games Global has chosen to include Cascading Reels. Each time a winning combination is formed, all winning symbols will be removed from the reels and new symbols will drop down via a Cascade. Once a cascade occurs, there is a chance of forming more winning combinations.
In terms of symbols, the highest paying regular symbol in Numero Uno is the Dog with the Red Mask, followed by 3 other Dog symbols with Orange, Purple and Blue Masks and the Rooster. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen and Jack. There is also Wild symbols present on reels 3, 4 and 5 which substitutes for all symbols except Scatters.
Wild Showdown
During any random spin in the base game, the Wild Showdown feature can trigger.
Once active, Numero Uno faces off with his opponent, turning reel 2, 3 or 4 Wild which awards a guaranteed win for that spin. The cascading reels mechanic is inactive during this feature.
Numero Uno Free Spins
Landing 3, 4 or 5 Scatters in any position on the reel set triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 15, 20 and 25 Free Spins and a payout of 5x, 50x and 250x your current bet respectively.
During Free Spins, a Progressive Multiplier is in play which increases to x2, x3, x4, x5 and x10 after each Cacsade for that spin. Before each new Free Spin, the progressive Multiplier will reset.
Numero Uno: Our Verdict
It would take something special to knock titles like Wild Luchador and Nacho Libre off their podiums, but does Numero Uno do just that?
Although Games Global has captured the atmosphere of Mexican Wrestling well, it’s not too overwhelming, yet it’s a lot more captivating than other designs with the same theme and the graphics are great.
There isn’t much to complain about with gameplay either. The base game has a Wild Showdown feature which brings a little something to the table, but for those of you who like the thrill of a feature of two, you may be a little disappointed with this. We’re not suggesting that the Wild Showdown feature couldn’t deliver some nice hits here and there, but the best you can hope for is a little balance top-up rather than epic big wins.
The Free Spins round has a lot more to offer courtesy of the Progressive Multiplier feature, which we’ve had the pleasure of trying in Hyper Star and other titles before this. Like the Wild Showdown feature, the progressive Multiplier can only offer so much with the maximum Multiplier set at x10 and a maximum win cap of 2,100x.
Overall, if you’re looking for something quirky, then Numero Uno might be your game. Just don’t expect it to break any records.
