Octo Attack is a 6-reel, 5-row Video Slot featuring a range of betting options, from £.€0.10 per spin, up to a maximum bet limit of £.€100 per spin.
Wins are created via a Cluster Pays mechanic. Landing 5-26+ identical symbols either Horizontally or Vertically on the playing grid creates a winning cluster. Winning clusters are removed from play, causing new symbols to cascade in from above, potentially making or enhancing wins.
Octo Attack has a theoretical RTP of 96.27%, a Medium Volatility rating, and a max win cap of 10,000x your bet. Lower RTP options include 94.26%, 92.30%, and 88.28%, including a Hit Frequency of 33.96%.
Wilds & Wild Multipliers
Wilds substitute for all other symbols except Scatter symbols. Wilds appear on all reels and can reveal a Multiplier value between x1 and x10. Multipliers are applied to all wins they are a part of.
Ink Stains
When a win is produced and calculated, all winning symbols are removed, marking each winning position with an Ink Stain. Each ink stain is removed once they’ve been used by the Tenta-Grab mechanic, resetting between spins.
Eye of Otto & the Tenta-Grab Mechanic
Landing the Eye of Otto symbol while Ink Stains are present will automatically activate the Tenta-Grab mechanic.
Once active, the Tenta-Grab mechanic will randomly grip 1 symbol on the reel set, replacing all ink-stained positions and itself with the selected symbol. The Tenta-Grab mechanic can grip onto Low and High-paying symbols, FS Scatters, Wilds, and Wild Multipliers.
If a Wild or Wild Multiplier symbol is gripped, the replacing symbols will either be Wilds or Wild Multipliers with a higher or lower value to the chosen symbol.

One thing we’ve come to appreciate with Hacksaw Gaming titles is that no two are ever the same. Octo Attack opens doors to a new 8-legged character, as well as the Tenta-Grab mechanic, complimented by Cluster Pays and Cascading wins.

Hacksaw Gaming’s latest Tenta-Grab mechanic requires an Eye of Otto symbol to land while Ink Stains are present. Once active, it will randomly grip 1 symbol, replacing all ink-stained positions and itself into the selected symbol, similar in style to Le Bandit’s Win to Win feature (minus the Coins and Upgrades).
Hacksaw Gaming also indulges players with 2 Free Spins rounds, one more enhanced than the other, giving players something to aim for in the base game. Instead of a set amount of spins, each Scatter symbol equals the starting number of Free Spins, quite like a GigaBlox title.
In both Free Spins rounds, each awarded Ink Stain does not reset. This means you can build up a substantial amount before the Eye of Otto symbol hits. Once the Tenta-Grab mechanic is triggered, winning Ink Stains are removed.
