Pirates’ Plenty: Treasures of the Sea Slot Review
Pirates’ Plenty: Treasures of the Sea from Red Tiger sets sail on a watery adventure with the promise of deeper rewards the further you drift out to sea!
As the third instalment in an ongoing series, following the original Pirates’ Plenty and its sibling slot, Pirates’ Plenty 2, this game retains the same familiar setting, lining the reels with Pirate memorabilia, a traditional 5-reel format, & signature features that long-time fans will instantly recognise.
While the Pirate theme and its aesthetics continue to be recognised in each release, Red Tiger has gently expanded the formula with a slightly sleeker layout & refreshed mechanics. The Pirate theme remains as timeless as ever within the iGaming industry, yet it has taken somewhat of a backseat to the booming Fishing slot craze sweeping providers.
Even Red Tiger has cast their net into those waters with the release of Trophy Fish and Bass Boss Megaways, and yet they still found time to return to one of their more established & successful series for another epic adventure.
Visually, Pirates’ Plenty: Treasures of the Sea is the most polished of the series so far, offering upgraded artwork, backdrops, & animations, while staying faithful to the tone players expect. The return of Map symbols & the advanced Treasure Row mechanic are still key components in big win progression, but both have been enhanced to create a smoother experience.
Red Tiger has also pushed the boat out with the maths model, giving Pirates’ Plenty: Treasures of the Sea a 22,640x max win potential, which puts far more firepower behind this treasure-hunting adventure…

Base Game & Features
Pirates’ Plenty: Treasures of the Sea is a traditional 5-reel, 3-row video slot with 20 fixed pay lines. Winning combinations occur when 2-5 identical symbols land on adjacent reels, starting from reel 1, across connecting pay lines.
The highest-paying symbol is the Skull, followed by the Hat, Cannon, Pistols, Poison, and card suits, Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, & Clubs. Once the reels settle, between spins, each winning combination awards a fixed payout between 0.3x and 20x your bet.
Furthermore, Wild symbols are present on reels 2, 3, & 4. Wild symbols substitute for all paytable symbols and count as the highest-paying symbol from the longest winning combination in a single spin.

Map Symbols & Treasure Row
In the base game, Map symbols can appear across the reels. Each Map symbol is added to the Treasure Row above the main reel set, causing the Ship to move along the map by +1 position.
Along its route, the Ship will stop at 3 locations in the following order: Plunder Bay, Port Royal, & Treasure Cove, which require 10, 15, and 20 Map symbols to unlock, respectively.
Once a new location has been unlocked, a Treasure Chest becomes available for the rest of the session. In addition, Treasure Cove adds Treasure Spins symbols to the first reel. Unlocking the Treasure Chest will require a certain number of Wild symbols to land in a spin for it to be opened.
- Treasure Chest 1: Requires 3 Wild symbols to unlock, which removes the 2 lowest-paying symbols in the following Respin
- Treasure Chest 2: Requires 6 Wild symbols to unlock, which removes all low-paying (card suits) in the following Respin
- Treasure Chest 3: Requires 9 Wild symbols to unlock, which awards a Multiplier of x2 that applies to all wins in the following Respin

Pirates’ Plenty: Treasures of the Sea Free Spins
Landing 3 Scatters on reels 1, 3, & 5 in the base game triggers the Free Spins mode, awarding 3 Respins.
During this mode, each reel position acts as a separate reel. Each Wild symbol that lands in view resets the Respins Meter to 3. At random, additional features can be triggered by unlocking a Treasure Chest, which remains active until the end of the feature. The session ends when no new Wild symbols land during the 3 consecutive Respins.

Treasure Spins
Alternatively, landing a Treasure Spins symbol on reel 1, along with 2 Scatter symbols on reels 3 & 5, triggers the Treasure Spins feature, awarding 3 Respins.
During this feature, Wild symbols are added to reels 1 & 5, resetting the Respins Meter to 3 when they appear in view. Randomly, at the end of each spin, if no new Wild symbols appear, Captain Kidd may pop up and reset the number of Respins.
Additionally, when 2 or more Treasure Chests are added to the reels, they work in the same way as others, awarding the following:
- Treasure Chest 4: Requires 12 Wild symbols to unlock, which awards a Multiplier of x5 that applies to all wins until the end of the feature
- Treasure Chest 5: Requires 15 Wild symbols to unlock, which guarantees Kidd’s Treasure at the end of the feature

Kidd’s Treasure
When all 5 Treasure Chests are unlocked during Treasure Spins, the Kidd’s Treasure Feature is awarded. This feature increases the total payout of the session to 20,000x your bet, before returning to the base game.
Bonus Buy
Players can purchase any of the following Bonus Buy options:
- Free Spins: Guaranteed entry into the Free Spins mode for 75x your bet (96.2%)
- Treasure Spins: Instantly triggers the Treasure Spins feature for 420x your bet (96.2%)
Pirates’ Plenty: Treasures of the Sea has a maximum win potential of 22,640x your bet. If a single session exceeds this, the player returns to the base game with the qualifying amount.

Our Honest Verdict
Pirates’ Plenty: Treasures of the Sea makes a great first impression and feels like a warm & welcoming addition to the series. The game’s graphics and visuals are bold & richly detailed, backed with immersive soundscapes that carry the tension & embrace the adventure from Red Tiger’s pirate world.
Leaning once again into the popular Pirate theme, Pirates’ Plenty: Treasures of the Sea delivers an explosive experience that fans of the two previous releases will appreciate. The original Pirates’ Plenty release laid the foundations for the ongoing series by showcasing Red Tiger’s ambition for Pirate-themed adventures.
However, Pirates’ Plenty 2 got the ball rolling by introducing Map symbols that work alongside the Treasure Row mechanic. The additions gave the series a stronger sense of progression & potential on the reels, adding structure & plenty of anticipation to each spin.
Accessing the Free Spins mode requires Scatters to land on fixed reels (1, 3, & 5) rather than any of the 5 reels, which adds a little more focus to each spin. Once you’re in, the Treasure Row remains active, only this time you’ll be collecting Wilds instead of Maps.
To access each Treasure Chest, you will need a series of 3 Wild symbols before the Respins Meter ticks down to zero. Once unlocked, each Treasure Chest reveals a unique feature that can significantly shift the momentum of the session, including the removal of low-paying (card suit) symbols, which drives the potential for bigger wins as the session builds.
Additionally, the Treasure Spins feature mirrors much of the Free Spins mode. Still, it adds an extra 2 Treasure Chests for maximum potential, one of which unlocks the Kidd’s Treasure modifier that guarantees to round off your total win to 20,000x your bet, which is not far from the overall max win of 22,640x.
All in all, Pirates’ Plenty: Treasures of the Sea offers a variety of refined features & mechanics, making this a daring high-volatility addition to the series.
