Pray For Three

Pray For Three Slot Review

Hacksaw Gaming have established themselves as a studio unafraid to venture into edgy territory, and Pray For Three exemplifies this approach. Released in May 2025, this supernatural-themed slot builds on the legacy of its predecessor SixSixSix, delivering a distinctive 1930s dark cartoon aesthetic that sets it apart from the typical slots landscape. The game presents a bold hellfire-meets-halo narrative through its two sisters concept, creating visual storytelling that complements the high-volatility mechanics underneath. For players seeking a volatile experience backed by innovative multiplier systems and substantial win potential, Pray For Three warrants attention, though its demanding nature isn’t suited to all player types.

Base Game & Features

Pray For Three operates on a 5×5 reel grid with 3,125 ways to win. The game employs a cascading or avalanche mechanic where winning symbols are removed and replaced with new symbols from above, allowing consecutive wins on a single spin. This multi-hit potential adds volatility to the base game and creates the foundation for the game’s high-volatility nature (rated 4/5 by the developer). The betting range extends from 0.10 to 100 per spin, providing flexibility for different bankroll sizes, though the game’s mechanics are optimised for larger stakes given the volatility profile.

Wheel of Sin Feature

The Wheel of Sin is the core multiplier mechanic that activates whenever a Prayer Hand or Divine Prayer Hand symbol lands alongside any winning combination. The wheel contains three distinct sections, each offering either additive multipliers (ranging from 2x to 333x) or multiplicative multipliers (from x2 to x33). A standard Prayer Hand symbol activates 1 to 3 wheel sections randomly, whilst a Divine Prayer Hand guarantees activation of all three sections. This tiered system creates meaningful variance between standard and premium symbol outcomes, though the reliance on Prayer Hand frequency means extended periods without wheel activation are possible during the base game.

Prayer Hand & Divine Prayer Hand Symbols

The Prayer Hand symbol serves as the primary trigger for the Wheel of Sin feature, activating between 1 and 3 wheel sections. The Divine Prayer Hand is the premium variant, guaranteeing full wheel activation across all three sections. Both symbols appear during regular base game spins, though Divine Prayer Hands occur with noticeably lower frequency. The distinction between these symbols creates a win hierarchy that rewards sustained play, though players unfamiliar with the mechanic may find the random nature of full wheel activations somewhat unpredictable.

Bonus Features & Free Spins

Pray For Three features three distinct free spins modes, each triggered by landing scatter symbols. Landing 3 scatters activates Wicked Ways (10 free spins with increased Prayer Hand and Wild symbol frequency), landing 4 scatters activates Living On a Prayer (10 free spins where all Prayer Hands become Divine Prayer Hands, guaranteeing full wheel access), and landing 5 scatters activates the premium Flames of Fortune (10 free spins with guaranteed Divine Prayer Hand on every spin). Each mode maintains the cascading mechanics and Wheel of Sin feature from the base game while introducing enhanced symbol frequency that creates sustained multiplier opportunities.

Bonus Buy Options

Pray For Three offers four feature buy options for players seeking direct access to bonus content. BonusHunt FeatureSpins costs 3x stake and makes each spin 5 times more likely to trigger a free spins bonus, providing an affordable entry point for impatient players. Hail Mary FeatureSpins costs 50x stake and guarantees a Prayer Hand or Divine Prayer Hand symbol on each spin. The Wicked Ways Feature Buy costs 100x stake for direct access to the Wicked Ways bonus (10 free spins). The Living On a Prayer Feature Buy costs 225x stake for direct access to the premium Living On a Prayer bonus (10 free spins with guaranteed Divine Prayer Hands). The Flames of Fortune bonus cannot be purchased directly and must be triggered organically via 5 scatters during base play, positioning it as the exclusive premium feature requiring extended grinding or exceptional luck.

Our Honest Verdict

Pray For Three represents a well-executed but not revolutionary release from Hacksaw Gaming. The studio has successfully delivered on their creative vision: the visual design is distinctive and polished, the Wheel of Sin provides engaging multiplier mechanics, and the three free spins tiers offer genuine variety. The maximum win potential of 13,333x the stake sits among Hacksaw’s best offerings, and the cascading mechanic creates legitimate opportunities for consecutive wins on single spins.

However, the game comes with notable trade-offs that merit consideration. The high volatility (4/5 rating) means wins arrive less frequently than in medium-volatility alternatives, and extended dry spells between big payouts are not uncommon. Free spins prove challenging to trigger naturally, with a base hit frequency of 27.67% providing regular small wins but making 5-scatter triggers relatively elusive. The premium Flames of Fortune bonus cannot be purchased, requiring serious base game grinding without assistance features. Divine Prayer Hand frequency creates frustration for some players, as regular Prayer Hands activate only 1-3 wheel sections rather than the full wheel.

Pray For Three is positioned for a specific audience. Volatility-loving players and Hacksaw Gaming enthusiasts will find substantial appeal in the mechanics and design. Those prioritising frequent base game wins or seeking accessible bonus triggers should consider alternatives. The game is undoubtedly a notable release from the studio, backed by impressive specifications and polished execution, though it doesn’t represent a creative leap beyond its predecessor.
