Triggering the Road to Riches Bonus requires 3, 4, or 5 Scatters to land within the base game, awarding a Max Multiplier of x200, x500, and 1,000x.
Instead of a traditional Free Spins mode, the Road to Riches Bonus begins players on a path towards a Max Multiplier, which varies depending on the number of triggering Scatters.
Throughout the session, a special Wheel with 8 segments, two of which are marked with ‘stop’, reveals the number of positions the Leprechaun will move. Each spin of the wheel increases the Global Multiplier by +x1, up to a maximum of x9.
All 3 Road to Riches bonus modes award the same Multiplier Steps along the trail, except for the final Max Multiplier position. The available Multiplier Steps award between x4 and x175, until you reach the end of the trail, which awards x200, x500, or x1,000 depending on the number of triggering Scatters.
If the wheel lands on a ‘stop’ position, the current session ends, and players are awarded the current Multiplier Step, multiplied by the Global Multiplier. Please note that this feature cannot be retriggered during a session.
Our Honest Verdict
Light & Wonder’s Rainbow Riches franchise has remained a favourite and ‘go-to’ series within the iGaming market, deemed just as popular as any other leading series in the iGaming market, if not more.
It’s mad to think that 20 years have passed since the first Rainbow Riches release came to light, albeit land-based Casinos benefited from it first. Rainbow Riches: Road to Even More Riches certainly has a lot to live up to, but did Light & Wonder do it justice?
With the current modernised optics we have available now, Rainbow Riches: Road to Even More Riches certainly scrubs up well. The graphics are crisp and clear, as are the sound effects, making this release look and feel as shiny as a new penny.
The soundtrack brings back fond memories of the original release, with the addition of new sounds and effects to mark the 20th anniversary of the series. What we’re most pleased about, though, is seeing the return of the Wishing Well and Road to Riches features.
Although not much has changed thematically, besides a graphic glow-up, the rewards and potential of each of these features are far more appealing. The Road to Riches bonus has up to 3 modes available, each offering a higher Max Multiplier at the end of the trail.
The Max Multiplier is determined by how many Scatters land within the triggering spin, with the 5-Scatter being the most rewarding of the 3, offering up to 1,000x your bet in Prizes. Wherever the path may lead you, your current Prize is always multiplied by an increasing Global Multiplier for big payouts.
The max win potential of 7,300x your bet is by far the most appealing upgrade for this release, which puts the 1,037x and 2,000x max win caps in previous releases to shame.
