With their leader, Gargantoon, commanding the charge, the Reactoonz are unleashing chaos & destruction across the cosmos, building power and fueling wild energy on the grid.
This isn’t a rebellion…it’s a full-blown alien takeover! Reactoonz 100 by Play’n GO is fully charged and raring to go, offering Engergized Toons, Increasing Multipliers, Quantum Features, and an epic Gargantoon Takeover.
It’s been a while since Gargantoon and his alien crew dropped onto our radar, but we’re happy to see them return, even if they are here to cause trouble. When the original Reactoonz first landed in 2017, players were taken aback by the Cluster Pays mechanic and the variety of features.
Now, when you look back on it, the graphics were pretty bad, and the design was minimal. As the years went on, though, optics improved in Reactoonz 2, and even more so in the release of Dr Toonz in 2021, which was the last time we set our sights on our beloved toonz.
Skip ahead to 2025, and we find ourselves in the company of Reactoonz 100 – the next release to fall prey to Play’n GO’s ‘100’ mechanic found in Moon Princess 100 & Rise of Olympus 100.
With a fixed RTP of 96.2% and a high volatility score, Reactoonz 100 can produce wins worth up to an impressive 10,000x your bet, but remember, the Reactoonz are always in charge…
Base Game & Features
Reactoonz 100 is a highly volatile release from Play’n GO, as part of the Reactoonz series, consisting of 7 reels, 7 rows, and a Cluster Pays mechanic. Wins occur when 5 or more identical symbols land horizontally or vertically on the grid.
The highest-paying symbols fall to the Pink Alien with Horns, followed by a series of Pink, Orange, Blue, & Green Aliens in varying sizes. When a winning cluster appears, it will award a fixed payout between 0.1x and 100x your bet.
Additionally, Wild symbols, whether a Gargantoon or an Eclipse, substitute for all symbols when completing a winning cluster. Wild symbols will never be selected as the Energized symbol, and are not affected by Quantum Features.
Each time a winning cluster occurs on the grid, the Avalanche Feature will destroy all winning symbols, causing new symbols to fall in from above. This continues until no new winning clusters occur within the same spin.
Throughout spins, all instances of a single low-paying symbol will be marked with a highlighted frame. If the highlighted symbol creates a winning cluster, it will be replaced with 2 Wild symbols upon its removal.
Energized Toon & Multiplier
After each avalanche event, a new cell position is marked by the Energized Toon.
When the Energized Toon creates part of a winning cluster, the win is multiplied by the current Win Multiplier apparent on the left side of the grid. The Win Multiplier begins at x1 for each spin, and increases by +x1 for every low-paying win or +x3 for every high-paying win.
Quantum Charger
After a winning cluster is removed from the grid, the individual winning symbols contribute towards filling the Quantum Charge Meter. There are a total of 5 Levels within the Meter, each needing 25 winning symbols to charge & activate.
Each charged level awards a special Quantum Feature, except level 5, which always triggers the Gargantoon Feature.
- Implosion: Transforms 3-6 symbols into Wilds & destroys all adjacent symbols around it
- Alteration: Selects a random low-paying symbol & transforms all instances into a random symbol type
- Demolition: Destroys all low-paying symbols from the grid of a single spin
- Incision: Positions a Wild symbol in the centre of the grid, before creating a diagonal line that stretches to all corners of the grid. After this, all paytable symbols within those lines transform into another high or low-paying symbol type.
Each Quantum Feature waiting to be activated will do so once the grid settles & no more winning clusters are visible.
Gargantoon
Once the Quantum Charge Meter is filled to Level 5, the Gargantoon Feature is awarded. Once active, 8 Wild symbols are randomly positioned across the grid, followed by two 2×2 Wilds, and a single 3×3 Wild to complete the feature.
Instability
During any non-winning spin in the base game, a special Instability Feature may trigger, awarding between 4 and 8 Wild symbols to random cell positions.
Our Honest Verdict
Since the release of the original Reactoonz in 2017, we’ve been searching the galaxies for an instalment that closely resembles it, and we’ve finally found it. In addition to iconic & classic features, Play’n GO has taken this as an opportunity to expand upon their ‘100’ series of games, but does it appeal? Absolutely, it does.
In Reactoonz 100, you can bask in much-loved features from the original, from Quantum Features to the appearance of Gargantoon himself, while becoming acquainted with new & exciting upgrades along the way.
While Multipliers were part of the package in the original Reactoonz release, each winning cluster, depending on symbol type, will be enhanced by +x1 or +x3, with no capped limit, or could this be where the ‘100’ part of gameplay comes into effect? Quite possibly.
What really differentiates this game from the pack is the Energized Goon, which is highlighted on the grid with each spin. As the Global Multiplier builds, the chosen symbol will relish in its value, applying to the payout of the winning cluster it is part of.
After filling the Quantum Charge Meter with the desired amount of winning symbols, Gargantoon takes to the spotlight. Firstly, it positions 8 mini versions of itself onto the grid, followed by two 2×2 instances and lastly, a single 3×3 instance.
Getting to this point, though, takes a lot of patience, determination, and consecutive wins during spins, 25 per Quantum Feature, to be exact. With 10,000x your bet in max win potential up for grabs, it seems Gargantoon and his minions are more than ready to whisk players off to another dimension, but it’s not quite as impressive as Dr Toonz’ 22,000x max win potential.
All in all, Reactoonz 100 will stand out for its connections to one of Play’n GO’s most popular series, but it would just as easily stand out on its own for its feature-rich gameplay and sizable max win potential.
