Rio Fantasia is a 3-reel, 3-row Video Slot based on the widely-celebrated Brazillian carnival. Due to the nature of the reel format, a total of 5 pay lines are distributed across the reels. PgSoft has classified this game as a Medium Volatility slot with an overall RTP of 96.76% and a 2,000x max win cap.
A total of 7 High and Low-paying symbols appear on the reels, with the inclusion of a Wild symbol. Low-paying symbols are represented by various instruments, offering payouts between 2x and 5x your bet. Alternatively, High-paying symbols consist of carnival accessories, allowing payouts between 10x and 50x your bet.
Wild Symbols
Wilds substitute for all paytable symbols, awarding payouts of up to 100x your bet. Wilds can appear on the reels in stacks, covering the entire reel in which it appeared. When a stacked Wild is part of a winning combination, the payout value is multiplied by x2 before it is awarded.
Respin Until Win Feature
Rio Fantasia does not facilitate a Free Spins round but it does include a special Respin Until Win feature. This feature can trigger during any random spin in the base game.
Once active, the middle reel will fill with a Stack of Wilds, while the remaining reels spin until a winning combination is generated. Once a win occurs, the value will be multiplied by a random Multiplier between x5 and x20 before being paid out.

The beauty of Rio Fantasia is simple and easy to grasp thanks to the 3-reel format and limited functions. You don’t see many 3×3 slots on the market these days, which are more commonly associated with land-based casinos. However, there is one in particular that sticks in our mind as one of the best, and that’s ELK Studios‘ Toro 7s.
Thankfully, PgSoft had a light bulb moment to use their skills to create a new 3-reel slot with stacked Wilds and a Respin Until Win feature, for this very reason. For a medium volatility title, Rio Fantasia offers a respectable RTP of 96.76% and a max win cap of 2,000x your bet. This figure may have been frowned upon in a regular 5-reel slot, yet it’s quite a generous amount for this type of game.
