Rise of Atlantis Legacy marks the third release of the series, offering even bigger Rising Multipliers, a variety of Free Spins modes, and exclusive Ante Bet & Bonus Buy options. With a new instalment comes enhanced graphics, crisp animations and clever artistry.
While Blueprint Gaming has maintained the basics, as part of a legacy to Rise of Atlantis 1 & 2, they have stepped up to the plate with 3 Free Spins modes, each with redeeming qualities that offer a unique experience.

Base Game & Features
Rise of Atlantis Legacy is part of an ongoing slot series from Blueprint Gaming, featuring 6 reels, 5 rows, and a Scatter Pays mechanic. Winning combinations are awarded when 8-12 matching symbols land anywhere on the grid, regardless of their position.
The highest-paying symbol falls to Poseidon, followed by crowns, tridents, jewels, architecture, and a variety of gems. When winning combinations occur, fixed payouts ranging from 0.25x to 50x your bet are applied.
Due to the Scatter Pays mechanic, the game does not include Wild symbols; however, the grid may reveal Rising Multipliers. Each scattered win will be removed from the grid as part of the Avalanche Feature. This continues until no new winning outcomes are available in the same spin.
Rising Multipliers
Throughout gameplay, special Rising Multipliers between x2 and x100 can appear on the grid. When it does, it will multiply the total win amount of a session by its respective value.
At the start of a new spin, the Rising Multiplier will move up by +1 position. This continues until the Rising Multiplier reaches the topmost grid position, after which it leaves the grid entirely. If more than 1 Rising Multiplier is present, they will also move upwards with each spin until they leave the grid.
Rise of Atlantis Legacy: Free Spins
Triggering either of the two Free Spins modes requires 4, 5, or 6 Scatters to land within a base game spin, awarding one of the following outcomes:
- 4 Scatters: Awards 12 Rise of Atlantis or Gates of Poseidon Free Spins
- 5 Scatters: Awards 15 Rise of Atlantis or Gates of Poseidon Free Spins
- 6 Scatters: Awards 20 Rise of Atlantis or Gates of Poseidon Free Spins
During the Rise of Atlantis Free Spins mode, all Rising Multipliers in view will increase in value with each movement. When no further winning combinations are available, the value of all Rising Multipliers is applied to the total win of the session.
In addition, each Rising Multiplier can achieve a maximum Multiplier of x500. Lastly, revealing 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters awards an additional +5, +7, +10, and +15 Free Spins, respectively.
Gates of Poseidon
During the Gates of Poseidon feature, each available Rising Multiplier will maintain its current value each time it moves upwards. After a winning combination, if the win included a Multiplier, its value is applied to the total win of the session, which remains active for the remainder of the feature.
Each Rising Multiplier that is part of a win will have its value added to the Total Multiplier Meter next to the grid, which remains active for the entire session. Each Rising Multiplier that is part of a winning combination, hereafter, will have its Multiplier combined with the Total Multiplier Meter and applied.
Finally, 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters will award a further +5, +7, +10, and +15 Free Spins, respectively.
Legend of Atlantis
Alternatively, players can engage in the Legend of Atlantis Free Spins mode; however, this is only accessible through the game’s Bonus Buy panel for 1,000x your bet. Once active, 12, 15, or 20 Free Spins are awarded for 4, 5, or 6 Scatters, respectively.
During Legend of Atlantis, each Rising Multiplier will increase each time it moves, up to a maximum of x1,500. Furthermore, each Rising Multiplier that appears will reveal a minimum Multiplier of x10.
Finally, landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters will generate an additional +5, +7, +10, and +15 Free Spins, respectively.
Ante Bet & Bonus Buy
Players may purchase one of the following Ante Bet & Bonus Buy options:
- Ante Bet: Increases your chances of triggering the Free Spins mode for 1.25x your bet per spin
- Rise of Atlantis: Awards 12, 15, or 20 Free Spins at random for 100x your bet
- Gates of Poseidon: Awards 12, 15, or 20 Free Spins at random for 100x your bet
- Legend of Atlantis: Guarantees access to the Legend of Atlantis Free Spins mode for 1,000x your bet
The maximum potential of this game is 10,000x your bet. If a single session exceeds this, the current mode ends, and the player returns to the base game with the qualifying amount. Lastly, all of the above options utilise a fixed RTP of 95%.
Our Honest Verdict
Rise of Atlantis Legacy remains loyal to its predecessors by maintaining the same colourful design and aesthetics, although Poseidon has had a slight wardrobe change. Rising Multipliers remain a permanent asset to the series, while receiving an upgrade in their overall potential.
As is the case with Rise of Atlantis 2, Blueprint Gaming has boosted gameplay by introducing additional enhancements to make Rise of Atlantis Legacy all the more potent, more so than its predecessors, anyway. Unfortunately, minor upgrades to the number of Free Spins modes and increased Multipliers are things we are almost guaranteed in Hacksaw Gaming titles.
Since the release of the original, the Scatter Pays mechanic has appeared hundreds of slots, making it a popular choice for software developers, along with the Cluster Pays mechanic. The magic it brings to the grid is yet to wear off on us, but with this comes lower payouts due to its ability to connect wins anywhere on the grid.
Another interesting development is the opportunity for players to choose their own fate via Free Spins. Regardless of how many triggering Scatters you land, you are still able to select Rise of Atlantis or Gates of Poseidon as a Free Spins mode, although one is more volatile than the other.
If you’re in a position to Bonus Buy, you can indulge in both of these options, in addition to a Legend of Atlantis Free Spins mode, which comes with a hefty price tag of 1,000x your bet. Ultimately, the difference between all 3 modes lies within the Rising Multipliers.
Although Rise of Atlantis Legacy offers a unique set of attributes, which differ from the previous instalments, its 10,000x max win potential remains the same. All in all, Blueprint Gaming’s Rise of Atlantis Legacy marks a series to be proud of.
