Splitting Mystery Symbols

In both the base game and Battle Free Spins round, special Mask symbols can appear across the reels, triggering the Mystery Symbol feature.

Mask symbols will reveal either regular High or Low-paying symbols or summon a Stacked Ninja Wild, covering the entire reel it is on. All revealed mystery symbols will be the same High or Low-paying symbol for each mystery feature.

High or Low-paying symbols that are revealed as a result of the Mystery symbol feature have the ability to Split to create additional winning ways, up to a maximum of 59,049.

Stacked Ninja Wild symbols that are revealed as a result of the Mystery symbol feature start off as 1 way for that reel and can split into 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 ways per Wild Reel.

Ronin’s Honour Free Spins

Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters across the reels triggers the Battle Free Spins round, awarding a payout of 1x, 4x, and 8x your current bet respectively. At the start of Free Spins, both The Ronin and Hannya start off with 3 Lives each.

During Free Spins, Ronin will lose a life if any single Stacked Ninja Wild is not split at any given time, but if it does split, Hannya will lose 1 life.

If Hannya loses all her lives during this time, you will play a single enhanced Hannya Free Spin where a single stacked Hannya Wild is placed on reels 3, 4, or 5.

The stacked Hannya Wild will randomly award stacked Mystery Demon symbols starting from reel 1, all the way up to the leftmost adjacent reel to the stacked Hannya Wild.

Stacked Mystery Demon symbols will then reveal the same High or Low-paying symbol with each Demon symbol transforming to 3 symbol positions per reel. Each revealed symbol can split up to 9 ways per reel and up to 3 ways per individual symbol.

The stacked Hannya Wild will start off as 1 way and can be split up to 9 ways with a maximum split of 3 ways per individual symbol position.

Battle Free Spins will continue until either all 3 Lives are lost, Hannya has lost all 3 lives, or the maximum number of Free Spins has been reached which is capped at 50.

Ronin’s Honour: Our Verdict

Ronin’s Honour is certainly an artistic masterpiece with its beautiful graphics, and the theme here is also interesting.

It’s quite a thought-provoking game too, and if you look up what it meant to be a Ronin then you’d learn some interesting facts about Japan. A ronin was a lone warrior in feudal Japan, a samurai without a master. These Ronin warriors travelled the country to offer their service to anyone who needed to hire a sword, yet it wasn’t as glamorous as movies might make it seem.

Without a proper place in a society that dictated order, a ronin was seen as a less than desirable future for aspiring samurai, but this particular Ronin has found meaning and a place in Play’n GO’s new thriller.

Play’n GO has made Ronin’s Honour particularly immersive with the Japanese language, and they’ve made it quite compelling in terms of gameplay too. The Ronin and the villain battle it out in a tense battle, and when the swords are swinging Ronin’s Honour can really show its stuff. At its best, Ronin’s Honour is capable of up to 30,000x

Overall, Ronin’s Honour was quite the surprise in a good way, and we’re rather looking forward to playing it when it releases.
