Shadows Inc Slot Review
The hired killers of Shadows Inc are on somebody’s payroll, and that’s the joke the whole thing runs on: a murder syndicate with its own branding and a serious problem with staff retention.
It’s drawn as a dystopian comic book, all hard black lines and sick city light, and the two rival slayers at the centre of it give Hacksaw Gaming‘s crime world more personality than another cyberpunk skin would have managed. Their wider catalogue sits over on the Hacksaw Gaming provider page.
The numbers are conventional for a studio high-roller of this type. RTP is 96.28%, volatility is High and the ceiling is 15,000x your stake, played over a 5×4 grid with 14 fixed paylines and stakes from 0.10 to 50 a spin. Structurally it belongs to the same family as Wanted Dead or a Wild, a plain payline skeleton sat waiting for one signature mechanic to erupt.
The other obvious relative is Chaos Crew 2, while Fear the Dark shares the murk if not the mechanics. The question is whether a single gimmick can carry an entire slot.
Base Game & Features
The reel set runs 5×4 with 14 fixed paylines, which is an old-fashioned skeleton by current standards and deliberately so. There are no ways-to-win counts here and no clusters, just lines paying left to right.
The Wild is the VS symbol, and it substitutes for everything in the paytable. Only one VS can occupy a reel at a time, and it stays a single symbol unless it would form part of a winning combination. That condition is the whole trigger.

Slayer DuelReels
When a VS symbol lands and would contribute to a win, it expands to cover the full reel and two slayers appear, each carrying a multiplier. They fight, and the survivor’s value is applied across that entire reel, which turns Wild in the process.
The multiplier pool runs 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x and 500x. Where several duels feed the same win, the surviving values are added together first and the total is then applied as one multiplier.
With VS symbols across all five reels, the entire grid turns Wild. That’s the extreme end of the mechanic rather than a routine outcome.
Scatters and the Best of Bonus Symbol
FS scatters are the bonus trigger, and how many land decides which tier you get. The Best of Bonus symbol appears in base play only, and landing it alongside the required scatters converts the trigger into the scoreboard version of that same bonus.

Shadows Inc Bonus Features
Three scatters, four scatters or five scatters open three different rounds, and each awards 10 free spins. Extra scatters landing during a round extend it: two FS symbols add two spins, three FS symbols add four.
The Slicer
The Slicer only exists inside the bonuses. When it activates it drops a full row of Wilds onto a randomly chosen row of the grid, giving a second route to a heavily Wilded screen alongside the duels.
Rise of the Syndicate
Three FS scatters award 10 free spins with an increased chance of a VS symbol landing. Nothing else changes, so the round lives or dies on whether those extra duels attach themselves to worthwhile line wins.

Wild Slayers
Four FS scatters award 10 free spins with the Slicer able to fire whenever a VS symbol lands. Duels and Wild rows can therefore arrive on the same spin, which is where the mechanic starts compounding.

One Slayer to Slay Them All
Five FS scatters award 10 free spins and keep everything Wild Slayers does, with one change: DuelReels and the Slicer are both guaranteed on every spin. The question stops being whether they activate and becomes what they combine into.
Best of Bonus
Land the Best of Bonus symbol with your scatters and the round becomes three consecutive rounds played out on a scoreboard, with only the highest of the three paid. All three tiers have a Best Of version, so the format applies whether you triggered Rise of the Syndicate, Wild Slayers or One Slayer to Slay Them All.

FeatureSpins Bonus Buy
The BUY BONUS button opens a menu of seven purchases, each with its own RTP. Worth knowing before you start: a FeatureSpins mode stays switched on until you manually disable it, so it keeps buying on your behalf until told otherwise.
- Bonushunt FeatureSpins – RTP 96.28%
- Duo Duel FeatureSpins – RTP 96.33%
- Trouble Trio FeatureSpins – RTP 96.3%
- Rise of the Syndicate – RTP 96.38%
- Wild Slayers – RTP 96.28%
- Best of Rise of the Syndicate – RTP 96.29%
- Best of Wild Slayers – RTP 96.26%

Duo Duel and Trouble Trio FeatureSpins
These two sit apart from the free spins tiers as persistent paid modes rather than triggered rounds. One point of housekeeping applies to both: FS symbols can’t land while either is running, so you won’t fall into a scatter-triggered bonus from inside them.

Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.9/10
Base play is streaky. There are long stretches where nothing of consequence lands, and your attention drifts to waiting for a VS reel to rescue an ordinary spin.
Rise of the Syndicate was the flattest of the three tiers: more VS activity, no more certainty it connects to anything worth having. Wild Slayers is the one we’d buy again, because the Slicer opens a second route to a full screen. The best moment of our session came there, when a Wilded row and two duels landed on the same result.
One Slayer to Slay Them All is the version the theme is selling. Best Of won us over as well, three rounds with a score to beat, though a strong opening round can leave the other two looking pointless.
That 15,000x is a believable ceiling rather than a likely one. High-volatility Hacksaw regulars and multiplier hunters will get plenty out of it; anyone who wants steady base-game action shouldn’t bother.
Shadows Inc does its best work under contract. Left to its own devices, it clocks off early.

There are three free spins tiers: Rise of the Syndicate (three scatters), Wild Slayers (four scatters, which adds the Slicer) and One Slayer to Slay Them All (five scatters, with both mechanics guaranteed on every spin).
