Slots O Cashpots Slot Review
A rainbow arcs over a meadow behind the reels, a gnarled oak fills the left of the screen, and Slots O Cashpots settles into the most familiar view in the business. The theme is the least interesting thing here, and the game seems to know it. What holds the attention is what the golden scatters feed: a prize ladder that never resets while you’re playing, and that slow accumulation, rather than the clover, is the reason to pick this one over the hundred other Irish titles beside it.
Blueprint Gaming built it on a 5×4 grid with 20 paylines, and it runs the Jackpot King Deluxe system on every spin. Total return is 88.00-92.50% plus a 0.38% jackpot contribution and a further 0.11% held in reserve. There’s no published maximum win figure.
It’s a calmer machine than stablemates like Wish Upon a Leprechaun Megaways or Ted, built around patience and a pot that fills slowly.
Base Game & Features
Five reels, four rows, twenty fixed paylines. Wins pay left to right, and only the highest combination on each line counts. The visual frame does the Irish theme properly: a full rainbow arcs behind the reels, its bands passing behind the top of the reel frame.
It’s a lush, storybook cartoon style that’s easy on the eye without doing anything new. The paytable is built on sevens, with clear steps between each one.
Symbol pays, as multiples of stake for three, four and five of a kind:
- Gold cluster 7 with clover: 2.5x, 10x, 25x
- Purple cluster 7 with clover: 1.5x, 5x, 20x
- Single green 7: 1x, 3x, 7.5x
- Mixed 7s: 0.5x, 1.5x, 3x
- A and K: 0.4x, 1x, 2x
- Q and J: 0.2x, 0.4x, 1x
The gap between the top and bottom of that list tells the story of the base game. Five Aces or Kings returns twice your stake; the same hit on the gold cluster 7 returns twenty-five times it. Everything in between is a slide of small steps.
The sevens do all the heavy lifting at the top while the royals keep the balance ticking over with fractions of your stake. The two scatters are where the real structure lives. Pots of Gold can land on any reel, in any position, and they don’t need to sit on a payline to matter.
Four of them is an event in itself, and five or more pays a Cashpot prize on top of any reel wins. The Bonus scatter is narrower: it only appears on reels 2, 3 and 4.
- 3 Bonus scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4: triggers the free spins round
- 4 Pots of Gold scatters in view: upgrades all Cashpot prizes permanently, or starts a respin at maximum level
- 5 or more Pots of Gold scatters in view: awards one of five Cashpot prizes, in addition to reel wins
- Jackpot King Deluxe: active on any spin, funded by the 0.38% jackpot contribution
Jackpot King Deluxe runs in the background regardless of what the reels are doing, with its branding on the side panel. It’s the standard Blueprint progressive system, so a slice of every wager feeds the ladder whether the base game is paying or not.
That’s the arrangement every Jackpot King title makes, and it’s priced in here through the lower base return.
Slots O Cashpots Free Spins & Cashpots
Pots of Gold & Cashpot Prizes
The headline scatter award needs no payline and no particular reel. Land five or more Pots of Gold anywhere on the grid and one of five Cashpot prizes pays out, stacked on top of anything the reels themselves have earned that spin.
Because the scatters can appear in any position, a spin that’s dead on all twenty lines can still pay through the back door. Cashpots can also arrive through a Pots of Gold Added modifier, which drops extra scatters onto the grid outside the normal draw.
Cashpot Upgrades
Four Pots of Gold in view upgrades all Cashpot prizes permanently, and the ladder can be upgraded nine times before it tops out. Once it’s at maximum, four Pots of Gold instead starts a Cashpot Respin, giving the reels another chance to find the fifth scatter.
The upgrades don’t expire, so a ladder you’ve climbed stays climbed, and every four-scatter hit along the way raises the value of the five-scatter prize you’re ultimately waiting for. The ninth level is a long way off, and nothing about the base reels hurries you towards it.
Free Spins
Three Bonus scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4 triggers the round, and it starts with a choice. You pick Lucky Clovers from a 5×4 field, and each clover hides something that shapes the round: free spins, a multiplier, or a boost to the Cashpot values. The round can award up to 30 free spins with a 5x multiplier.
The clover field carries its own set of modifier symbols, which stack onto what the round awards:
- +2 and +3 symbols: add free spins to the round’s total
- x3 and x1 multiplier symbols: set or adjust the win multiplier
- +1 symbol: boosts the Cashpot values for the duration
Inside the round, Cashpot wins pay separately: only reel wins get multiplied by the win multiplier you picked. That split matters when you’re choosing clovers, because a big multiplier does nothing for a Cashpot prize and a Cashpot boost does nothing for the reels.
Landing three more Bonus scatters on the middle reels retriggers the round for the same number of spins as the original trigger.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.9/10
This is a sit-and-wait game, and it’s honest about that. The reels pay modestly and the meadow never changes, but nearly every spin moves the gold pots one way or the other. Choose it and you’re choosing that slow accumulation rather than the Irish scenery it arrives in.
The permanent upgrade ladder is what makes the waiting worthwhile. Because the levels don’t expire, even a dry half hour leaves you higher than you started, and that’s a rare comfort at this end of the market. The sting is the price of the jackpot: a base return that bottoms out at 88% buys a progressive almost nobody will ever collect, and the paytable doesn’t pay enough to make up the difference.
It will suit players who like a long build and don’t need a feature landing every dozen spins. If loud, frequent bonuses are what you’re after, this meadow will feel very quiet. For the patient sort, the pot under that rainbow genuinely does get fuller every time you check on it.
