Wins occur when 3-5 identical symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. This game has 4 Low-paying and 5 High-paying symbols available, with the highest-paying awarding wins worth 10x your bet. Wilds substitute for all paytable symbols.
Snow-Volver Symbol
In gameplay, regular and epic Snow-Volver symbols can appear in view with 1-6 Snowballs. When a Snow-Volver hits, the revealed number of Snowballs are thrown onto random positions of the reel set.
When a position without snow is hit by a regular Snowball, it transforms into a Wild Snow symbol and sticks to the reels. When a Snow symbol is hit by another, a random Multiplier between x2 and x200 is awarded, thus transforming into a Snow Multiplier symbol.
In the base game and You Reap What You Snow bonus, Epic Snow-Volvers activate before regular ones. This maximizes the chances of stacking more multipliers on each Snow Multiplier symbol. Once a Snow-Volver is empty, it transforms into a Wild symbol.

Throw Snow! Bonus
Triggering the Throw Snow Bonus requires 3 FS Scatters to land within the base game, awarding 3 refilling Lives.
In this round, the reels transform, leaving only Snow-Volver, Reload, and non-paying symbols in play. Each time a new snow-volver or reload symbol hits, the Respins Meter is reset.
There are 6 Gift Boxes with Multiplier values displayed above the grid. Gift Boxes can award multiplying or adding Multipliers:
- Adding Multipliers: Between x2 and x500
- Multiplying Multipliers: x2, x3, x4, x5, x10, x20
When a Snow-Volver lands, the snowballs are aimed at the Gift Boxes above the grid. Once hit, the Multiplier from the gift box is added or multiplied to the Snow-Volver’s total value, while regular Snow-Volvers remain on the grid with their Multiplier value.
Epic Snow-Volver Multipliers are added to all existing sticky Snow-Volver and Reload symbols that are present on the grid. With the next spin, they are removed.
The Reload symbol refills Regular Snow-Volvers to collect more Multiplier values. Once active, it collects all Multipliers from regular Snow-Volvers and reloads them with 1-6 Snowballs which are immediately thrown at Gift Boxes.
You Reap What You Snow Bonus
Landing 4 FS Scatters in the base game triggers ‘You Reap What You Snow’, awarding 10 Free Spins. This round follows the same mechanics as in the base game, while all Snow Multipliers remain on the reels until the end of the feature.
Landing 2 or 3 FS Scatters awards an additional +2 and +4 Free Spins respectively.
Our Verdict
In slots, Christmas is defined in many ways. It’s not just limited to Santa, Elves, and a magical flying sleigh, although these are by far the key elements. Hacksaw Gaming has focused Snow Slingers on the winter wonderland aspect of Christmas, with fun-loving penguins looking for players to join their epic snowball fight.
If you’ve participated in throwing sports in the past, you’ll have the upper hand when it comes to wiping out opponents, however, that particular skill won’t help you here. In Snow Slingers, you will only need the power of luck and persistence as you spin the reels in the hope of landing Snow-Volvers.
The Snow-Volver symbols do all the heavy lifting (and throwing) for you. Each Snow-Volver is loaded with up to 6 Snowballs which get tossed across the reels. Snowballs transform into Wilds, marking their position with a splatted snowball ‘W’, causing wins to be created or enhanced on the reels.
With a Respins Bonus, Free Spins round, and Bonus Buy options available, the 10,000x max win cap and 96.29% RTP go down a treat. Occasionally, we find ourselves questioning whether certain slots are capable of their max wins, but Snow Slingers is one we’re confident can achieve such a figure.
