Sugar Craze Rising Rewards Slot Review
Nothing important in Sugar Craze Rising Rewards happens on the reels. The game proper sits in the five jewel-crowned towers above them, each one climbing by half a bet every time a token lands, and the pastel candy-land underneath, all cotton-candy sky and rainbow lollipops, is mostly there to keep you seated while they fill. Strip the towers away and you’d have a very ordinary five-reel grid; keep them, and every spin, winner or not, moves a number you care about.
It’s a Hammertime Games build on a 5×5 grid with 720 ways paying in both directions, running at 96.01% RTP with very high volatility and stakes from 0.20 to 50 per spin. The King Millions sibling we covered in 2026 ran the same climbing prizes with a progressive attached; this one keeps the climb and hands the full return back to the reels. The sugar coating is the easy part. The arithmetic underneath is what’s interesting.
Base Game & Features
Five reels, five rows, 720 ways, all permanently enabled. Wins pay left to right and right to left, starting from the first or fifth reel, and only the highest combination on a way counts. A bet multiplier of 10 applies per spin, so the figure in the bet window is your total stake.
Roughly one spin in four pays anything. That’s the hit frequency at very high volatility, and it shapes everything about how sessions here feel. Symbols need to sit next to each other on an enabled way; they can’t be scattered across it. Scatter and jackpot wins sit on top of regular way wins rather than replacing them.
Free Spins scatters are the busy symbols. They pay in any position, they can land stacked, and one or more on every reel pays 1x your bet. They also feed the multiplier meter that the bonus round inherits, which is where their real work happens.
The paytable is candy-led at the top and royal at the bottom. Values below are multiples of your total stake for three, four and five of a kind:
- Red Candy/Lollipop: 2x / 4x / 8x
- Orange Flower Candy: 1.4x / 3x / 4x
- Yellow Lemon Candy: 1x / 2x / 3x
- Green Candy: 0.4x / 1x / 2x
- A: 0.2x / 0.8x / 1.2x
- K: 0.2x / 0.8x / 1x
- Q: 0.2x / 0.6x / 1x
- J: 0.2x / 0.6x / 0.8x
The gap between the candies and the royals is narrow. Even the lowly J pays 0.2x for a three-of-a-kind, so five-symbol royal wins aren’t far off what the Green Candy returns. The premium tier only really separates itself at the top.
The Lollipop‘s 8x for five is twice what the Orange Flower pays for the same count. Nothing else on the table comes close to that spread.
Wilds sit on reels two, three and four and substitute for everything except the two special symbols. They don’t form their own wins. It’s a standard substitution job, nothing fancier.
The prizes stacked above the reels are what the game is built around. Those climb in the base game, one token at a time, before the wheel ever gets involved.
Sugar Craze Rising Rewards Free Spins & Jackpot Wheel
Rising Rewards Jackpot Feature
Each reel carries its own jackpot, displayed above it, and all five are live at once. Every Jackpot Trigger token that lands adds 0.5x your bet to the jackpot above its reel.
Every token collected also carries a chance of spinning the Jackpot Wheel on that spin, and the wheel awards one of five guaranteed jackpots: Mini, Minor, Major, Mega and Ultra. Once a jackpot pays, that one resets to its starting value and the climb begins again.
Values scale with your stake, and the trigger chance shifts as the prizes grow. The wheel can’t fire at the same time as free spins, but it can fire inside them. Each wheel segment maps to a different jackpot, so the spin decides which of the five you collect rather than whether you collect at all.
Free Spins
One or more scatters on every reel triggers the round, paying 1x your bet on the way in. It starts with a minimum of six free spins, and every scatter that landed on the trigger spin adds either one extra spin or 1x to the Free Spins Multiplier.
Bets and ways stay exactly as they were on the trigger spin, and winnings collect automatically as they land. Retriggers work the same way as the original trigger. Land scatters on every reel again mid-round and you bank the same number of spins the feature opened with, plus a pay of 1x your total bet multiplied by the Free Spins Multiplier. Nothing can retrigger on the final spin, so the last one is always played out plain.
Free Spins Multiplier
The meter starts building long before the bonus. Scatters landing on exactly four reels in the base game nudge it up by 0.5x, and it caps at 10x there. Entering free spins it can carry up to 15x, which it applies to every way win and retrigger pay during the round.
It doesn’t grow inside the round itself, and it resets to 1x when free spins finish. Whatever you built is spent, not banked. On the way back to the base game it can pick up a further 0.5x to 3x, which gives the next attempt a head start. That’s the whole rhythm: accumulate, cash in, start again.
Our Honest Verdict
Sitting down at this candy shop means watching five towers fill, one token at a time, and that’s the entire reason to be here. The reels are the queue, not the ride, and once you accept that, a losing spin still nudges something you own a little higher.
The reset is the smartest thing in the build. A jackpot that pays climbs again from its starting value instead of dying, so the meters never go stale and one long run can fill the same tower twice. The cost is everything underneath: a quarter of spins pay, the best symbol manages 8x, and most base game wins barely cover the spin that produced them.
Patient players who like visible progress and don’t mind a long wait between real hits are the natural audience. If the reels themselves have to earn your attention, this isn’t the shelf to browse. For the climbers, though, the towers are always filling, and that steady creep is a pleasure all of its own.
