Sweet Bonanza 1000 Slot Review
A spiral lollipop stands in the whipped cream on top of the reel frame, candy-floss clouds drift under a bright blue sky, and every surface glistens like it was glazed that morning. All that sugar is a front, though: Sweet Bonanza 1000 is a cold, patient counting machine, and the only number that matters in it is a thousand.
Pragmatic Play runs it on a 6×5 grid where symbols pay anywhere, at 96.53% RTP overall with medium volatility. The figure nudges about by mode: 96.50% with the stake raised for a doubled trigger chance, 96.52% buying the free spins, 96.55% buying the Super version.
It sits beside Sweet Bonanza, Gates of Olympus 1000 and Sugar Rush 1000, all working the same tumble-and-multiplier recipe. The name promises a thousand, and on the right multiplier that’s what a single symbol can deliver.
Base Game & Features
Wins don’t run along lines here. Symbols pay anywhere on the screen, and it’s the total count of one symbol at the end of a spin that sets the win. Land eight or more of a kind and it pays; land twelve and it pays properly.
That counting rule does quiet work in a game like this. Because position doesn’t matter, every symbol of a kind on the grid feeds the same total, so a screen filling up with bananas during a long tumble can keep a sequence alive even when no single cluster looks impressive. It also means there’s no such thing as a near miss on a line – either the count is there or it isn’t.
Every winning spin triggers the tumble feature, and it works in a fixed order:
- Winning symbols are paid out and removed from the grid
- All remaining symbols fall to the bottom of the screen
- New symbols drop in from above to fill the empty positions
- If the new arrangement contains another win, the sequence repeats
There’s no limit on how many tumbles can chain from a single spin, and the whole lot is added to your balance only once every tumble from that base spin has finished. Nothing is banked mid-sequence, which matters more than it sounds when the multipliers arrive later.
There’s no wild in this game. The pays run from fruit at the bottom through shaped candies to the red heart at the top, and every figure below is a multiple of your total stake:
- Heart (red) – 50x for 12+, 25x for 10-11, 10x for 8-9
- Square candy (purple) – 25x for 12+, 10x for 10-11, 2.5x for 8-9
- Pentagon candy (green) – 15x for 12+, 5x for 10-11, 2x for 8-9
- Oval candy (blue) – 12x for 12+, 2x for 10-11, 1.5x for 8-9
- Apple – 10x for 12+, 1.5x for 10-11, 1x for 8-9
- Plum – 8x for 12+, 1.2x for 10-11, 0.8x for 8-9
- Watermelon – 5x for 12+, 1x for 10-11, 0.5x for 8-9
- Grapes – 4x for 12+, 0.9x for 10-11, 0.4x for 8-9
- Banana – 2x for 12+, 0.75x for 10-11, 0.25x for 8-9
The gap between tiers is steep at the top and flat at the bottom. Twelve hearts pay fifty times the stake; twelve bananas pay twice it. The fruit end of the table exists mostly to keep tumbles rolling rather than to deliver wins on its own.
Ante Bet
Before any spin you can switch on the Ante Bet. It raises the bet multiplier from 20x to 25x and, in exchange, doubles the chance of triggering the free spins naturally. One catch: with the Ante Bet on, the bonus buy is switched off, so it’s one route or the other. At a 25x multiplier every spin costs a quarter more, which adds up over a session spent chasing scatters.
Sweet Bonanza 1000 Free Spins & Bonus Buys
Free Spins
Four or more SCATTER symbols anywhere on the screen award 10 free spins. Special reels are in play during the round, and three or more scatters landing within it add another five spins on top. There’s no stated limit on retriggers, so a lucky round can keep extending itself.
Multiplier Symbols
The multiplier symbol only appears during free spins, and it behaves differently from everything else on the grid. It doesn’t pay on its own and it doesn’t tumble away. It lands with a random value, then holds its position until the entire tumbling sequence ends.
When the sequence finally stops, the values of all multiplier symbols on the screen are added together and the total is applied to everything that sequence won. The possible values are:
- 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 1000x
The jump from 100x to 1000x is the whole story of this build. It’s a single top value, not a range, and because multipliers sum rather than multiply each other, a screen holding several of them can produce a combined figure well past anything the base paytable offers.
Bonus Buy & Super Free Spins
Two purchases are available straight from the base game, both guaranteeing four or more scatters on the triggering spin:
- BUY FREE SPINS – 100x total bet, standard free spins round
- BUY SUPER FREE SPINS – 500x total bet, every multiplier symbol carries a minimum of 20x
The Super version is where the 1000x symbol does its most damage, since even the floor of every multiplier on the screen is 20x. It’s a steep ticket at five times the standard buy.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.2/10
This is a game you play with one eye shut and one open. Most of the time you’re counting fruit, watching tumbles roll, drifting gently – and then a free-spins sequence stacks a few multipliers and the whole picture changes at once. That contrast, the drift and the ambush, is the reason anybody picks this over the plainer Sweet Bonanza builds.
The strength is that the multipliers sum instead of replacing each other, so a long tumble can end on a figure the paytable alone could never produce. The weakness is everything between bonuses: with no wild and fruit pays that barely register, the base game gives you nothing but the count.
It’s a good fit for players who like a calm grind with a real number at the end of it, and a poor one for anyone who wants excitement spin to spin. The sugar coating is honest about one thing, at least: the sweetness here is all in the waiting.
