The Big Dawgs Base Game and Features
The Big Dawgs is a 5-reel, 5-row Video Slot with 10 fixed pay lines. Wins are formed when 3 or more of the same symbol types land from left to right or up and down on any reel.
The Big Dawgs can be played for as little as £.€0.20 per spin, up to a maximum bet of £.€240 per spin, with a variety of options in between the two. This game has a theoretical RTP of 95.97% and a max win cap of 10,000x.
The highest-paying symbol here is the Dog with the Dark Green background, followed by the Dogs with Purple, Light Green, Teal, and Blue backgrounds. Low-paying symbols fall to the Dog Bowl, Knuckle Duster, Baseball, Scissors, and Dog Tag.
There are 2 types of Wild symbols in The Big Dawgs; Regular Wilds and Multi Wilds. Both of these substitute for all High and Low-paying symbols from the paytable. When 1 or more Multi Wilds are part of a winning combination, the win is multiplied by x2.
Each time a winning combination forms, all winning symbols are removed from play, making room for new symbols to drop down from above via a Cascade Feature. This continues until no more wins are present.
A combination formed with at least 1 Dog symbol will leave behind a Multi Wild in the middle of the line. Any wins that form with Low-paying symbols will leave behind a regular Wild symbol.
Big Dawg Colossal Wild
During any random spin, before any Cascades, a 2×2 or 3×3 Big Dawg Wild can appear on the reel set in a random position.
Screen Clear Multiplier
If at the end of a game round the reel set only has Wilds or Multi Wilds remaining, a random Multiplier of x2, x3, or x5 is applied to the total win for that spin.
The Big Dawgs Free Spins
Behind the middle row and reel positions is the word ‘Dawgs’. When symbol Cascades uncover the letters that are in cleared positions, they are fully revealed.
Revealing the entire ‘Dawgs’ word either horizontally or vertically during a game round will trigger the Dirty Dawgs Free Spins round. However, revealing both horizontal and vertical ‘Dawgs’ letters will trigger the Double Dawgs Free Spins round.
Dirty Dawgs Free Spins
Once active, 5 Free Spins are awarded. During this round, for every Free Spin, a Global Multiplier starting at x1 is applied to all wins that occur, increasing by +x1 after each Cascade. This resets back to x1 at the end of each Free Spin.
Revealing the word ‘Dawgs’ during this time will award an additional +5 Free Spins. If both horizontal and vertical ‘Dawgs’ letters are revealed, you will trigger the Double Dawgs Free Spins round.
This round will begin at the end of the current round. If multiple Double Dawg Free Spins rounds are triggered, they will be queued one after the other.
Double Dirty Dawgs Free Spins
Once active, 10 Free Spins are awarded. During this round, a Global Multiplier starting at x1 is applied to all wins, increasing by +x1 with each Cascade that occurs. The Global Multiplier does not reset between spins, but the round cannot be retriggered.

The Big Dawgs: Our Verdict
Pragmatic Play is back with another animal-themed slot that will entice players with a soft spot for man’s best friend, but does gameplay have the same appeal?
Although not entirely the same concept, The Big Dawgs gives off Moon Princess vibes, where Wilds (and in this case, Multi Wilds) are left in replacement of winning symbols on the reels. This feature worked very well in Moon Princess, yet Pragmatic Play has gone one step further by introducing Multi Wilds for that extra boost in performance.
Pragmatic Play has made triggering Free Spins a lot more interesting. Instead of Scatters, you will need to reveal the word, or words ‘Dawgs’ behind the centre reel positions, in a criss-cross pattern.
