The Crypt 2 Slot Review
The Crypt 2 is Nolimit City‘s latest return to darkness. Familiar figures emerge from the shadows, joined by new, unfortunate legends whose stories ended too soon. The gates open once again, and the Crypt is far from silent.
The Crypt 2 clearly follows in the footsteps of The Crypt, but it does so with greater ambition. Rather than simply revisiting old ground, it expands the graveyard, adding fallen legends to the ranks of Nolimit City’s latest morbid creation. There is a sense of continuity here, yet the experience feels larger, heavier, and far more evolved.
Looking back, the original Crypt served as an effective alternative to Dragon Tribe. It arrived at a time when Nolimit City had not yet fully embraced the provocative identity that would later define them.
While Dragon Tribe reflected the early foundations of their design prowess, The Crypt reflected the darker, more daring direction the provider adopted and became infamous for.
With The Crypt 2, that evolution is unmistakable. The tone is darker, the mechanics more intricate, and the overall presentation leans firmly into the studio’s now unmistakable personality.

Base Game & Features
The Crypt 2 is a highly (10/10) volatile video slot with 6 reels, 4-7 rows, and up to 531,441 ways to win. Paytable symbols confirm wins when 3-6 identical instances land on adjoining reels, starting from the leftmost.
Rock legend, Ozzy Osbourne, is the highest-paying symbol, followed by 5 other Dead Legends and A, K, Q, J, 10, & 9 card suits. After the reels settle, each winning combination awards a fixed payout between 0.1x and 2.5x your bet.
After each win is paid out, it is removed from the reels via an Avalanche Feature. After removal, all empty positions will be filled by new symbols from above, with the chance to trigger additional wins in the same spin.

xNudge Wild
When an xNudge Wild appears in view, it slowly nudges down toward the bottom row, transforming into a Stacked Multiplier Wild. Each nudge increases the Multiplier, depending on how many symbols it nudges over to reach the bottom row.
Once fully stacked, the xNudge Wild applies its value to all wins that travel through it, substituting for all symbols except Scatters.

Mystery & xWays
Mystery symbols can hold 2-3 of the same symbols and will expand within their reel. However, xWays symbols can land on all reels and expand a single reel up to 9 symbols high. If more than 1 xWays symbol lands in the same spin, they will each reveal the same symbol, up to 531,441 ways to win.
Forsaken Fingers
When a Forsaken Finger symbol hits, it unlocks the nearest cell position on the locked row of its respective reel and any adjacent reels, if present. Afterwards, it converts itself into a Wild symbol.

Eye Collector & Spider
The lowest-paying Dead Legend symbol appears with one eye, while all others have two eyes. The Eye Collector gathers the eyes from Dead Legends within the active reel area. For every 5 Eyes collected, the Total Win Multiplier increases by +x1 before transforming into a Wild.
Alternatively, the Spider symbol activates when an Eye Collector appears in the same spin. Once active, the Spider symbol randomly generates 4, 8, or 12 Eyes, which are collected by the Eye Collector before transforming into a Wild.

The Crypt 2: Free Spins
Landing 3+ Moon Scatters in the base game triggers Entombed Spins, awarding +2 Free Spins per Moon Scatter. Occasionally, Moon Scatters can upgrade to Red Moon Scatters. If that happens, each Red Moon Scatter awards +3 Free Spins each.
In this mode, each Progression Level has a Dead Legend symbol assigned to it, which needs 4 Gems to advance to the next level. On the first level, all Dead Legend symbols across the reels will have the same number of Eyes as in the base game.
Each level upgrade awards an additional +2 Free Spins. Each unlocked position from Forsaken Fingers, including the Total Win Multiplier, remains persistent between spins.

Nolimit Booster & Bonus Buy
Players may purchase any of the following Nolimit Booster & Bonus Buy options:
- Bonus Booster: Each spin is 3 times more likely to trigger Entombed Spins for 2x your bet per spin
- Boosted Forsaken Fingers: Each spin guarantees 3 Forsaken Fingers for 20x your bet
- Booster xWays + 7 Rows: Triggers a spin with at least 2 xWays symbols and 7 rows active for 30x your bet
- Booster xNudge + 7 Rows: Each spin guarantees at least 1 xNudge Wild for 90x your bet
- Booster Eye Collector + 7 Rows: Triggers a spin with an Eye Collector & Spider symbol across 7 rows for 199x your bet
- 6 Entombed Spins: 80x your bet
- 8 Entombed Spins: 200x your bet
- 10 Entombed Spins: 500x your bet
- Lucky Draw: 30% (3 Moon Scatters), 40% (4 Moon Scatters), 30% (5 Moon Scatters) for 254x your bet
The Crypt 2 has a maximum win capacity of 31,248x your bet. If a single session exceeds this figure, the player returns to the base game with the qualifying amount.

Our Honest Verdict
For all its bravado and dark demeanour, the original Crypt slot was, in essence, a remake of one of Nolimit City’s very early releases, Dragon Tribe. It didn’t follow a trodden path when it came to its theme, but its gameplay was quite familiar to longtime Nolimit City fans.
The Crypt 2 is actually a sequel, yet it is something else entirely, evolved almost unrecognisably from what now looks like a humble predecessor in hindsight. This one almost reminds you of parts of the Fire in the Hole series, with upper reels locked away and gameplay becoming progressively more fruitful as the reels unlock. There is something inherently exciting about a slot with this kind of momentum. It is not an explosive, sudden moment, but a gradual buildup.
The key to unlocking these upper rows is the Forsaken Fingers, while more familiar features return, such as the xNudge Wild and xWays, both of which proved fundamental in the original game and remain so here.
The biggest and most obvious change is the introduction of the Eye Collector and Spider Features. The Spider is especially potent. It generates Eyes, which are collected by the Eye Collector, and every five of those increments the multiplier.
The Crypt 2’s capabilities are higher but less obvious than the original; it is certainly a more complicated slot. It takes a bit of analysis to really see the cogs moving, though this becomes apparent after not much time with it.
Something else that The Crypt 2 features, which its predecessor did not, is an array of Nolimit Booster features. This mechanic found its footing after the release of the original game, which only offered bonus buy options and an xBet for more frequent bonus features. This one includes an xBet, a trigger to see the Forsaken Fingers in action, 7 Rows, 7 Rows with a Wild, and 7 Rows plus the Eye and Spider symbol.
In short, you can see the game’s features at the click of a button if you want to… unless you are from the UK, of course.
All in all, The Crypt 2 is another memorable release, joining a long line of proud titles from a provider that rarely disappoints.
