Throne of Elements: Platinum, the latest from Wazdan, spends all of that spectacle on a game that barely pays between bonuses. That’s not sloppiness; it’s the design. Playing this is mostly watching a vault fill up. The base game is quiet, occasionally eerie, and every spin nudges something into place for the one round that matters – that slow assembly is the entire reason to sit down at this machine rather than any other.
The bonus round is the best-built part of it. Because every Guardian opens its column at the end rather than during play, a finished round pays in two stages, and the reveal is worth the wait. The weakness is everything either side of it: cash symbols never beat five times your bet, so a dry spell between bonuses gives you nothing at all, and the game never tells you what it’s expected to return.
