Treasures of Osiris Slot Review
A golden pharaoh stands guard over a cracked sandstone temple on a sunlit riverbank, and the treasure he’s protecting isn’t on the paytable. Treasures of Osiris pays its biggest prizes through collection, not line hits: five Ankhs, the best the reels offer, returns just 10x the stake, while everything above that lives in three pots filling quietly above the reels. Pragmatic Play has effectively made the base paytable the floor of the game rather than the point of it, and whether that works for you will decide whether this one is worth your time at all.
Three pots – JACKPOT, MONEY and WILD – collect their symbols as they land, and any of them can fire the free spins round at random with its own modifier attached. It gives every spin a second thing to watch, which is more than most 25-payline games manage.
The maths sits in familiar territory: 96.52% RTP, medium volatility, a 5×4 grid with 25 paylines, and stakes running from 0.25 to 250.00 per spin. The maximum win is capped at 10,000x your stake, matching the top prize on the in-round jackpot ladder.
Base Game & Features
Wins form left to right across 25 fixed paylines on a 5×4 set of reels. The paytable runs from Ankh at the top down through Owl, Scarab Beetle, Golden Cup and the card royals, and the gaps between tiers are shallow rather than steep.
- Ankh – 0.4x, 2x, 10x for three, four, five
- Owl – 0.4x, 1.6x, 8x
- Scarab Beetle – 0.32x, 1.4x, 6x
- Golden Cup – 0.32x, 1.2x, 4.8x
- A / K – 0.24x, 1x, 4x
- Q – 0.2x, 0.8x, 3x
- J – 0.12x, 0.6x, 2x
- 10 – 0.12x, 0.48x, 2x
Five Ankhs pays 10x the stake. That’s the whole top of the table, so the base game isn’t where the money lives – it’s where the collection happens.
The Three Collection Pots
Three pots sit above the reels: JACKPOT, MONEY and WILD. Each one collects its own symbol whenever it lands. There’s no meter to fill and no guaranteed threshold – a pot can trigger the free spins round at random after any spin, with its modifier active from the first free game.
The MONEY symbol is the most concrete of the three. It carries a random value drawn from 0.2x, 0.4x, 0.6x, 0.8x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x or 100x the base bet, and values are added together and paid when the symbol hits.
WILD symbols substitute for everything in the paytable and land on the reels in the ordinary way. They also feed the WILD pot, which can carry its modifier into the bonus round. The JACKPOT symbol works the same way into its own pot.
Ante Bet and Super Spin
Two alternative bet modes sit alongside the standard spin. The Ante Bet costs 50x your bet multiplier and doubles the chance of triggering the free spins feature. The Super Spin is a bigger outlay at 250x, and it moves the action into the base game: random marked positions appear on every spin, with the MONEY and WILD modifiers already switched on.
There’s a cost to that. JACKPOT symbols can’t hit on a Super Spin, the JACKPOT pot is disabled, and the free spins feature can’t trigger. What you get in return is modifier action on every paid spin rather than only in the bonus round.
Treasures of Osiris Free Spins & Bonus Features
Collecting the right symbols at the end of a spin starts the free spins round with 10 free games, plus five more on any retrigger. Before those spins begin, the round marks random positions on the reels. Those marks are where the three modifiers do their work.
The Jackpot Ladder
During free spins, JACKPOT symbols display a random jackpot name and feed a meter. Complete a set and the prize pays at the base bet:
- 4 MINI – 5x base bet
- 5 MINOR – 20x base bet
- 5 MAXI – 50x base bet
- 5 MAJOR – 500x base bet
- 6 GRAND – 10,000x base bet
The GRAND is the round’s full payout limit. If it’s reached, the round ends immediately and any remaining spins are forfeited.
The Three Modifiers
JACKPOT modifier: when a JACKPOT symbol lands in a marked position, every other marked position transforms into a JACKPOT symbol with a random name. Two symbols landing transforms twice, which is how a full GRAND set gets built in a hurry.
MONEY modifier: a MONEY symbol in a marked position converts the other marked positions into MONEY symbols, with all values added and paid. Two or three symbols landing converts and pays again.
WILD modifier: a WILD in a marked position turns the other marked positions WILD. Two or three WILDs landing apply an x2 or x3 multiplier to the wins that follow.
Modifiers that aren’t active when the round starts can switch on partway through, and the round retriggers with five extra spins. Because the transforms run on the same marked positions, the modifiers compound: a JACKPOT transform into a board already loaded with MONEY symbols pays both ways at once.
Buying the Bonus
Three buy options cover every appetite for modifiers:
- 60x total bet – FREE SPINS with one, two or three modifiers activated at random
- 75x total bet – SUPER FREE SPINS 1 with two modifiers guaranteed
- 150x total bet – SUPER FREE SPINS 2 with all three modifiers guaranteed
Every option awards 10 free spins. The three-modifier buy at 150x puts all three transforms live from the first marked position, which makes it the natural route to the GRAND ladder.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.4/10
Playing Treasures of Osiris is a long, patient excavation, and that’s the honest reason to pick it: the pharaoh’s treasure only comes out when a pot fires. Most sessions are spent watching three meters fill while the reels pay you scraps, and the game is upfront about that arrangement.
The free spins round rewards the patience. Marked positions that all three modifiers can transform at once mean one loaded board can pay the jackpot ladder and the cash values together, and a GRAND hit ends the round on the spot. The weakness is just as clear: between bonuses, the base game pays like a low-roller’s slot regardless of your stake, and the Super Spin strips out the jackpot to fix a problem you may not have felt needed fixing.
If you enjoy the build and the mid-round moment where a second modifier switches on, this is a comfortable home for it. If you want your stake back in dribs rather than one shot at the tomb, look elsewhere. Middling, with real sparks when it pays.
