Treats of Terror Slot Review

The screen flickers, the film rolls, but the audience is missing. Set in an eerie cinema, Treats of Terror by Play’n GO is a spooky release that’s more than just smoke and mirrors.

Across the reels, ghostly sweets and spectral symbols swirl through a haunted theatre setting – But these are not your usual concessions. Keep your eyes peeled for Cash symbols, rewarding Jackpot Prizes, and Collector symbols. If you trigger the Free Spins mode, you will move through a three-part feature where Multiplier values (and the tension) rise. Treats of Terror is a fright-filled feature slot, worthy of a cult classic.

Play’n GO has combined delicious concession snacks with the horror/slasher genre in a cinematic experience turned deadly. Players hungry for more than just tasty treats will be inspired by the delicious food theme, which sets the bar high with its 10,000x max win cap and appealing functions. Coin Collection

In the base game, special Coin symbols may appear on the grid, with a Multiplier value of x1, x2, x5, or x10. All coin symbols that land are only activated when a Collector symbol lands at the same time.

Bonus Prizes

In addition to Coin symbols, the game has 4 fixed Jackpot Prizes: Mini (25x), Minor (100x), Major (250x), and Grand (1,000x). As is the case with Coin symbols, each Jackpot Prize requires a Collector symbol to land in the same spin to retrieve its value. Furthermore, look out for Prize symbols that appear on the grid with a value between 25x and 1,000x your bet.

Our Honest Verdict

Is it Halloween already? Sweets and terror sound quite synonymous with October if you ask us, but perhaps Play’n GO couldn’t wait to release their sweet psychos into the world.

Play’n GO slots always have a lot of charm, and Treats of Terror is no exception, despite its murderous intent. It’s something that grabs your eye when you load it up, compelling you to stay a while and have a spin, proving once more that first impressions are important in the world of slots too. It does fall short a bit on gameplay, though – it’s fairly uneventful in the Base Game with only coin collection and its jackpot prizes, and none of them, except the grand, are particularly groundbreaking.

Free Spins doesn’t reinvent things much further, with a multiplier ladder similar to the ones seen in online fishing slots like Big Bass Bonanza. At its max level, you’ll be getting a x5 multiplier, but even that fails to evoke a real sense of anticipation in us.

Overall, it looks quite noteworthy in appearance, but doesn’t seal the deal with its features. A potentially forgettable instalment from Play’n GO.
