Tutan Kha-Boom Slot Review
As the tomb begins to shake, restless mummies begin to wake from their slumber. Tutan Kha-Boom from Thunderkick crashes into action across its 3×5 matrix and 99 ways to win, blending ancient Egyptian chaos with Thunderkick’s signature sense of fun.
Crack open the Bottoms Up feature, unleash the destructive power of the Ankh Explosive Wild, and dive into the Bonus Game, where the Mucho Multiplier rockets up to a maximum of x64. Tutan Kha-Boom is loud, mischievous, and packed with explosive potential…this is one Pharaoh’s celebration you don’t want to miss!

Base Game & Features
Tutan Kha-Boom is a medium-rated video slot with 3 reels, 5 rows, and 99 ways to win. Winning combinations trigger when 3-5 identical symbols land from the bottom row to the top row & vice versa.
Mummified Cleopatra is the highest-paying symbol, followed by individually-coloured Mummies. After a win is complete, each winning combination awards a fixed payout between 0.2x and 5x your bet.
Furthermore, the Exploding Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except Scatters. After the explosion, it removes all symbols in its row & column, except Scatters & high-paying symbols.

Exploding Avalanche
When winning combinations connect from the bottom to the top of any of the 99 connecting win ways, each winning combination is removed from the reels via an Avalanche Feature. This explosion allows new symbols to drop in from above, potentially creating additional wins.
As a group of winning symbols is removed, the Win Multiplier increases by +x1, up to a maximum of x32 in the base game and x64 in the Bonus Game. The Multiplier appears below the main reel set and resets between spins. This continues until no wind or Wilds remain.

Tutan Kha-Boom: Bonus Game
Landing 3 Scatters anywhere in the base game triggers the Bonus Game, awarding 10 Free Spins. During this mode, Wild symbols are collected from the reels, and once 3 are obtained, the lowest Win Multiplier is removed, awarding +1 Free Spin. Collecting 15 Wilds in a single session unlocks the x64 Win Multiplier.
Landing 2 & 3 Scatters awards an additional +3 and +7 Free Spins, respectively.

Bet+ & Bonus Buy
Players may purchase any of the following Bet+ & Bonus Buy options:
- Bonus Boost: Each spin is 4 times more likely to trigger the Bonus Game for 2x your bet
- Bonus Boost Plus: Each spin is 8 times more likely to trigger the Bonus Game for 3x your bet
- Bonus Boost Ultra: Each spin is 16 times more likely to trigger the Bonus Game for 5x your bet
- Bonus Boost Extreme: Each spin is 32 times more likely to trigger the Bonus Game for 9x your bet
- Bonus Game: Instant access to the Bonus Game with 10 Free Spins for 80x your bet
Tutan Kha-Boom has a maximum win capacity of 5,000x your bet. If a single session exceeds this figure, the player returns to the base game with the qualifying amount.

Our Honest Verdict
First appearances may make you think you’re getting another variant of Esqueleto Explosivo, but that’s not quite the case. While Thunderkick opts for fewer reels, a distinct pay ways system, and a noticeably lower max win potential, the similarities don’t go unnoticed.
Both games share a progressive Win Multiplier that carries into the Bonus Game, multiplying every winning combination by up to x64. As with both titles, the Bonus Game is where the Win Multiplier really shows its strength, continuing to build without resetting between spins. Our only criticism of Tutan Kha-Boom is that the reduced reel set and intricate pay ways system make it more challenging to land the consistent wins needed for the full experience.
Outside of that, the colourful visuals, lively animations, and playful twist on the Egyptian theme feel exactly like what we’ve come to expect from a Thunderkick release. That said, there was a time when almost every Thunderkick release pushed boundaries and set high standards for innovation. Lately, it seems that only a few have reached those heights, and for us personally, the last game to truly hit that mark was Pink Elephants Trinity.
Tutan Kha-Boom reveals a max win potential of 5,000x your bet, a modest RTP of 94.17%, and a Medium volatility that shapes the overall profile. While many players may hesitate at the lower RTP rating, it’s a familiar trend across Thunderkick releases and one that can be quickly overlooked.
All in all, Tutan Kha-Boom may not rank among Thunderkick’s strongest or most innovative titles, its playful nature, persistent Win Multiplier, and interesting pay ways system ensure the game is enjoyable and fun if nothing else.
