West Coast Cash Infinity Reels Slot Review 2024
“Grove Street..Home. At least it was before I f&*ked everything up” – Carl Johnson, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
West Coast Cash Infinity Reels from ReelPlay is very obviously inspired by Grand Theft Auto with its gangland aesthetic, but the dead giveaway is the font of the game itself, which is pretty indistinguishable from that of the game.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was the third in the 3D universe of Grand Theft Auto Games, and the plot followed the protagonist Carl Johnson in 1992 Los Angeles inspired Los Santos as he grapples with family, gang life, the police, and even his own sense of worth as he tries to fit back into a life he abandoned for the east coast. San Andreas is a timeless masterpiece, and Reelplay obviously think so too, given the similarities between West Coast Cash and the 2004 Video Game.
West Coast Cash Infinity Reels won’t garner as much attention as the infamous game, but it has the potential for a respectable share of popularity owing to its Infinity Reels mechanic. The Infinity Reels is something we’ve all seen before, and it’s proven itself ot be very impressive in the past.
How has ReelPlay handled it in West Coast Cash Infinity Reels? Lets head to Grove Stree…we mean INFINITY Street to find out.
West Coast Cash Infinity Reels Base Game and Features
West Coast Cash is a 3 reel slot by default, but this can increase thanks to the Infinity Reels mechanic, which gives West Coast Cash the potential to grow infinitely. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.
The minimum bet available to players is £/€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€12 per spin, with a handful of betting options in between the two. This game has a theoretical RTP of 96.16% and a max win cap of 20,350x.
In terms of symbols, all High-paying symbols fall to a collection of Characters with Yellow, Green, Red and Purple backgrounds. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten and Nine. Also present are Wilds, which substitute for all symbols except Scatters.
Infinity Reels
Each base game spin will start off with 3 reels.
If a winning combination is formed during this time, the right-most reel will award an extra reel. The new reel will then spin in the hopes of improving the current winning combination(s), and if successfull, an additrional reel will be added once again.
There is no limit to how many extra reels can be added thanks to the Infinity Reels mechanic. Once no more winning symbols are awarded on the extra reel, the win is paid and the reels will reset back to 3 for the next spin.
Symbol Multiplier
During the base game, a Symbol Multiplier will come into play. The symbol Multiplier is applied to all winning symbols except Scatters.
Starting at x1, the symbol Multiplier will increase by x1 each time a new reel is added to the right-most reel. Like the reels, the symbol Multiplier is also infinite and has no max limit.
Infinity Bonus
During the base game, if a single spin results in 12 or more reels being added to the right-most reel, a Cash Prize of 888x your total bet is awarded.
This can be awarded during both the Base Game and LevelUp Respins round. Please note that the symbol Multiplier is not applied to the Infinity Bonus.
West Coast Cash Infinity Reels – LevelUp Respins
Landing 3 or more Cash Scatters in any position across the reels triggers the LevelUp Respins round, awarding 3 Respins.
During this round, all Cash Scatters are held and all remaining reel positions will spin. If any new Cash Scatters land in view, they will lock into their position and the Respins will be reset back to 3.
Each time a reel is filled with 4 Cash Scatters or Special symbols, a new reel is added to the right-most reel and respun. Cash Scatters will start off with a Cash Prize between 1x and 5x your current bet.
During each Repsin, all Cash, Dealer and Enforcer symbols gain a Dollar sign. Once a symbol reaches a total of 6 Dollar signs, it will level up and its total Cash Prize will increase between 1x and 5x your bet.
After this, all Dollar signs are removed from that particular symbol and it will begin collecting Dollar signs again on the next Respin. Each time a Cash Scatter levels up, there is a chance for it to transform into 1 of 4 Special symbols.
- Hustler – Increases its level on every Respin, increasing the Cash Prize between 1x and 5x your bet. (no Dollar signs required)
- Pimp – Increases the Cash Prize between 10x and 50x your bet, transforming back to a Cash symbol once it’s done.
- Dealer – Adds its own Cash Prize value to all adjacent Cash or Special symbols each time it levels up.
- Enforcer – Adds Cash Prizes from all adjacent symbols to itself each time it levels up.
Once all Respins are complete, each Cash Scatter and Special symbol will award their displayed Cash Prize. Please note that the Symbol Multiplier is not applied to any wins in the LevelUp Respins round.
West Coast Cash Infinity Reels Bonus Buy
Players outside of the UK will benefit from a Bonus Buy option.
ReelPlay has granted players access to the LevelUp Respins round for a total cost of 100x your current bet. Once active, the triggering spin will have between 6 and 15 reels in play. (RTP 97.04%)
West Coast Cash Infinity Reels: Our Verdict
We think ReelPlay has handled the Infinity Reels mechanic brilliantly in West Coast Cash.
So far the mechanic has been a bit like marmite, some love it, some hate it. Some make it look more exciting than it is before falling short where it matters, but West Coast Cash is one of the few that really makes the mechanic shine. The LevelUP Respins seen previously in Money Mariachi is back once again, yet the potential here isn’t quite as good as that in Money Mariachi at 20,350x your bet.
Despite the smaller win potential, West Coast Cash Infinity Reels stands out as an exciting game with appeal in terms of feature and theme.
We love the gangster theme, and we love the not-so-subtle nod to the best gangster game ever made, San Andreas.
Overall, West Coast Cash Infinity Reels certainly impresses. We’re quite skeptical of the Infinity Reels mechanic ourselves at times, but West Coast Cash Infinity Reels is one of the best.
