Wild Swarm Triple Hive marks the third instalment to join the likes of Wild Swarm and Wild Swarm 2. Now considered one of Push Gaming’s most popular slot series, Wild Swarm Triple Hive returns us to the busy life of worker bees and their need to please the Queen Bee herself.
Instead of waking up in the safe compounds of their hive, the bees have found themselves part of a Medieval/Fantasy theme. Not only are the new surroundings unusual to the series, but so too are the multiple Hive Features and Wheel Prizes.

Base Game & Features
Wild Swarm Triple Hive is the third instalment of the ‘wild swarm’ series from Push Gaming, featuring 5 reels, 4 rows, and 20 fixed pay lines. Landing 3, 4, or 5 matching symbols across reels 1-5, on adjacent reels, triggers a winning combination.
The game consists of 5 high-paying and 4 low-paying symbols, represented by dollar signs, crowns, honey pots, white flowers, purple flowers, and A, K, Q, & J card suits. Where applicable, payouts between 0.1x and 10x your bet are applied.
Furthermore, Wild symbols and up to 5 Sticky Bee Icons can appear on the reels, awarding the following outcomes:
- Wilds: Substitute for all symbols except Chest Icons.
- Sticky Bees: Act as Wild symbols within the Free Spins mode. Sticky Bee symbols remain in their current position until the end of the feature.
Collectible Bees
In the base game, the reels may reveal up to 4 Collectible Bees, each awarding the following outcomes:
- Red Knight Bee: Is collected into the Jackpot Hive above the reels, for a chance to trigger the Jackpot Hive feature.
- Green Knight Bee: Is collected into the Multiplier Hive above the reels, for a chance to trigger the Multiplier Hive feature.
- Yellow Knight Bee: Is collected into the Sticky Hive above the reels, for a chance to trigger the Sticky Hive feature.
- Queen Bee: Flies into a random Hive for a chance to trigger its respective feature. The Queen Bee has a higher chance of triggering the hive it flies inside than any other Bee Icon.
Wheel Feature
The Wheel Feature triggers when a special Chest Icon appears anywhere on the reels, available in the base game and Free Spins mode. Once active, a Wheel with individual Prize segments will spin and award the current prize it stops upon.
The prizes available on the Wheel Feature include:
- Cash Prizes between 2x and 250x your bet
- Jackpot Prizes of Mini (10x), Minor (25x), Maxi (50x), Mega (100x), Grand (1,000x)
- Jackpot + Multiplier Hive Feature

Wild Swarm Triple Hive Free Spins
Triggering any of the 3 Hive Features above the reels requires its respective Bee Icon to be collected in the base game. Once a single Hive feature is activated, 7 Free Spins are awarded.
In addition, multiple Hive Features can be triggered within the same spin. Having a combination of 2 and 3 Hive Features awards 10 & 12 Free Spins, respectively. Lastly, filling an entire reel with Sticky Wilds will award an additional +1 Free Spin.
Jackpot Hive
During the Jackpot Hive feature, Sticky Wilds appear with a random Jackpot Token attached to them. Each Jackpot Token is collected and stored within its respective Jackpot Meter throughout spins.
Once a Jackpot Meter is filled, its associated Prize is awarded, and the meter is reset. Please note that Jackpot Prizes can be won multiple times throughout this feature.
- Mini: Requires 2 Tokens
- Minor: Requires 3 Tokens
- Maxi: Requires 4 Tokens
- Mega: Requires 5 Tokens
- Grand: Requires 6 Tokens
Multiplier Hive
During the Multiplier Hive feature, Reel Multipliers are positioned above reels 2, 3, and 4, revealing values of x2, x4, and x8, respectively.
Once a reel is filled with Sticky Wilds, the corresponding Reel Multiplier will apply to each Sticky Wild directly below it. Please note that Reel Multipliers are additive.
Sticky Hive
Before the Sticky Hive feature begins, up to 4 Sticky Wilds are positioned at random on the reels.
Queen Bee
At any point during either Hive Features, the Queen Bee Icon may appear on the reels. When she does, she will award a number of Sticky Wilds onto random reel positions, between 1 & 4.
After this, the Queen Bee will transform herself into a Sticky Wild symbol. During the Jackpot Hive feature, the Queen Bee is unable to award Jackpot Tokens. Alternatively, the awarded Sticky Wilds she adds will appear with a random Jackpot Token.
Our Honest Verdict
Push Gaming takes Wild Swarm Triple Hive down a new path of collection meters, jackpot prizes, and a combination of hive features, but did it live up to our high expectations for the series?
If you’ve played the previous two releases of the Wild Swarm series, you’ll know that it’s never been easy tracking down those pesky Bee Icons; however, in Wild Swarm Triple Hive, the bees are practically throwing themselves at you.
Our new burden involves the activation of Hive Features, and no matter how many Bee Icons the game throws at you, you’re probably going to need a fair few more. During testing, we found the Sticky Hive to be the least challenging to activate, which plays out as the traditional Free Spins mode located in the two previous releases.
Tackling the Jackpot, Multiplier, or a combo of hives requires a little more finesse (and patience). Whilst you wait for a hive feature to pop, you’re kept engaged by the Wheel Feature, which is only accessible by a Chest Icon.
It’s here that you can win a series of Cash & Jackpot Prizes, or a combination of Hive Features. We’ll admit, you’ll probably have more luck triggering a combination of Hive features via the Wheel Feature than in the base game, but more than likely, you will walk away with a Cash Prize of some sort.
The ability to trigger multiple Hive features in a single session is particularly reminiscent of Push Gaming’s 3 Magic Pots. It’s a little surprising that this is the type of gameplay/content Push Gaming has chosen for one of their most anticipated releases, but maybe a change of pace is exactly what was needed to keep the series fresh and exciting.
However, loyal fans of the series may feel somewhat disappointed that Push Gaming has taken the series in a new direction, especially those who consider themselves ‘creatures of habit’ and do not settle for big changes. We’ll be the first to admit that we’re a little sad and disappointed to see the back of Swarm Mode.
However, we’re pleased to see Push Gaming’s staple graphics and aesthetics shine through in this release. Wild Swarm Triple Hive reveals bursts of colour, great animations, and a steady flow of sound effects.
Another positive outcome for Wild Swarm Triple Hive is the overall max win potential of 23,902x your bet, which certainly puts to shame Wild Swarm 2’s 10,000x max win cap. If you can move past the significant gameplay adjustments, you may find comfort in the max win potential.
All in all, Wild Swarm Triple Hive is not the instalment we had hoped for, but it offers great potential, an abundance of Hive Features, all tied into Push Gaming’s trademarked graphics and aesthetics.
