Wildman Super Bonanza Slot Review
A masked hero in black and gold stands at the rim of a cratered moonscape, gauntlet raised towards a swirling blue portal, with asteroids drifting through the purple haze behind him. Wildman Super Bonanza, Pragmatic Play‘s comic-book trip into deep space, hides its real game beneath the spectacle: nearly everything this slot pays rides on a single tumble chain surviving long enough to matter.
Behind the hero sits an 8×8 grid that pays in clusters of five or more, running at 96.55% RTP with high volatility and stakes from 0.20 to 240 per spin. Anyone who has spun Gems Bonanza or Fruit Party will know the territory, but the five-level Super Fever ladder is this game’s own climb, and it demands 114 points from one unbroken run just to open.
Symbols and Cluster Pays
Wins form in blocks of five or more matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically anywhere on the 8×8 grid. Only the highest win counts per combination, and wins from multiple blocks in one tumble sequence all add together. When a win lands, the paying symbols disappear, everything above falls down, and new symbols drop in to fill the gaps. Tumbling continues until no new win appears.
The WILD symbol substitutes for all symbols and only ever arrives through the Wild Illusion and Wild Finish features; a single wild can connect into several different winning blocks at once.
Seven gems and shapes make up the paytable, and every value below is a multiple of the total bet:
- Red gem: 1x for 5, 1.5x for 6, 2.5x for 7, 5x for 8, 12.5x for 9-11, 25x for 12-14, 50x for 15-19, 200x for 20-24, 1,000x for 25+
- Purple gem: 0.5x for 5, 0.75x for 6, 1.25x for 7, 2.5x for 8, 7.5x for 9-11, 12.5x for 12-14, 25x for 15-19, 100x for 20-24, 500x for 25+
- Green gem: 0.3x for 5, 0.5x for 6, 0.75x for 7, 1.25x for 8, 3.75x for 9-11, 7.5x for 12-14, 15x for 15-19, 50x for 20-24, 300x for 25+
- Teal triangle: 0.25x for 5, 0.3x for 6, 0.4x for 7, 0.75x for 8, 2.5x for 9-11, 5x for 12-14, 10x for 15-19, 25x for 20-24, 150x for 25+
- Orange hexagon: 0.2x for 5, 0.25x for 6, 0.4x for 7, 0.6x for 8, 2x for 9-11, 3.75x for 12-14, 7.5x for 15-19, 20x for 20-24, 100x for 25+
- Pink hexagon: 0.15x for 5, 0.2x for 6, 0.3x for 7, 0.5x for 8, 1.5x for 9-11, 2.5x for 12-14, 5x for 15-19, 15x for 20-24, 75x for 25+
- Blue gem: 0.1x for 5, 0.15x for 6, 0.2x for 7, 0.35x for 8, 1x for 9-11, 2x for 12-14, 3.75x for 15-19, 10x for 20-24, 50x for 25+
The jump between tiers is steep at the top end. Twenty-five red gems in one connected block returns 1,000x the bet, while twenty-four of them pays a fifth of that. Big clusters, not big symbols, are where the money sits.
The Five Spin Features
On every base game spin, coloured markings can sit hidden behind normal symbols. Land a win on top of a marked spot and the matching spin feature fires once all tumbles from that spin have finished. The five colours do five different jobs:
- Blue mark: triggers Time Rewind
- Pink mark: triggers Wild Illusion
- Yellow mark: triggers Double Boost
- Red mark: triggers Colossal Symbol
- Green mark: triggers Wild Finish
Time Rewind
The simplest of the five. When the tumbles end, the screen clears completely and a fresh set of symbols drops in. Anything the new grid forms pays as part of the same round.
Wild Illusion
One symbol type currently on screen is chosen at random, and every instance of it turns wild. Because those wilds can each bridge several combinations, a well-timed illusion can turn a modest tumble sequence into something much larger.
Double Boost
Random 2×2 blocks of a single symbol are added to the grid in random positions after the tumbles finish. More matched symbols means more ways to connect a paying block of five or more.
Colossal Symbol
A single block of 3×3, 4×4 or 5×5 matching symbols lands in a random position. On an 8×8 grid, a 5×5 block covers well over a third of the playfield, which all but guarantees a sizable cluster if it matches anything already sitting there.
Wild Finish
Between five and fifteen wild symbols scatter across the screen in random positions. It closes out the feature order, and multiple marks on one spin always resolve in the fixed sequence: Time Rewind, Wild Illusion, Double Boost, Colossal Symbol, then Wild Finish.
The Super Fever Progressive Feature
Every symbol that explodes during tumbles feeds the Super Fever meter. Collect 114 points from a single base spin, including its tumbles and spin features, and Super Fever begins once that spin has fully resolved. The meter wipes itself back to zero the moment a tumble chain stalls, so the whole 114 has to arrive in one sustained run.
The feature itself is a five-level climb. Each level guarantees every one of the five spin modifiers plays exactly once, in order, and every win carries a multiplier:
- Level 1: all five modifiers, 2x win multiplier
- Level 2: collect 116 winning symbols, 4x win multiplier
- Level 3: collect 120 winning symbols, 6x win multiplier
- Level 4: collect 125 winning symbols, 8x win multiplier
- Level 5: collect 132 winning symbols, 10x win multiplier
Fail to gather enough symbols to advance and the feature ends. Clear level 5 and it plays out its final five modifiers before closing. Super Fever wins are paid after the round completes, with the full cycle’s total recorded together.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.3/10
This is a waiting game with one genuinely big moment in it. Marks sit unseen beneath symbols, tumbles stall, the meter wipes itself, and then a single chain catches and five modifiers fire in sequence across the same screen. That moment is what the whole build is for, and it’s a good one.
Super Fever is the best-built thing here. Every level guarantees all five modifiers in order at a multiplier that doubles as you climb, so the round escalates rather than scattering effects at random, and a big red cluster under the 10x at level 5 is a real shot at 1,000x and beyond.
The flaw is the entry price. A meter that resets to zero on every dead tumble makes the round that justifies the game a rare visitor, and the base game between chains doesn’t pay enough to carry the wait on its own. This one’s for players who enjoy the long build and can sit through the quiet; anyone after steady small returns won’t find it in this corner of the nebula.
