Zeus vs Hades Gods of War Slot Review 2024
Greek Gods Zeus and Hades battle it out once more in Pragmatic Play’s latest release, Zeus vs Hades Gods of War!
Strong and powerful brothers Zeus and Hades are at each other’s throats once again in Pragmatic Play’s newest release to grace our screens, but who will win the battle this time round?
The ongoing feud between Zeus and Hades is something that almost every parent can relate to if they have more than one child, but just be grateful that your children can’t fire thunderbolts or condemn the other to the Underworld for all of eternity.
Greek God-themed slots, Zeus and Hades in particular, are probably the most common of the bunch but they never really get old. iSoftBet has recently dedicated an entire series to the feuding brothers with Olympus Zeus Megaways, Olympus Hades Megaways, and Olympus Raging Megaways, but how will Pragmatic Play’s own version fair against these?
Let’s play on and find out!
Zeus vs Hades Gods of War Base Game and Features
Zeus vs Hades Gods of War is a 5-reel slot with 15 fixed pay lines. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.
The minimum bet available here is £.€0.10 per spin and the maximum bet available is £.€100 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. This game has a theoretical RTP of 96.07% and a max win cap of 15,000x.
Zeus vs Hades Gods of War gives you the choice between 2 profiles that can be chosen at the start of the game. Olympus Mode has High Volatility, and Hades Mode has Very High Volatility.
During gameplay, you can change which mode you play on by selecting either Olympus or Hades Mode on the left side of the reel set. Depending on which mode you choose, all High-paying symbols will cater to each mode.
When playing in Olympus Mode, your chances of triggering Free Spins are much higher, but the overall win for Free Spins is lower. In Hades Mode, your chances of triggering Free Spins are much lower, but the overall win for Free Spins is much higher.
In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol in Olympus Mode is Zeus, followed by Pegasus, an Eagle, Helmet, and Chalice. In Hades Mode, the highest-paying symbol falls to Hades, followed by Cerberus, an Eagle, Helmet, and Chalice.
Low-paying symbols in both Modes remain the same, which fall to Aces, Kings, Queens, Jacks, and Tens. Wilds appear on all reels, substituting for all High and Low-paying symbols from the paytable.
Expanding Wilds with Multipliers
During the base game, special Olympus and/or Hades symbols can land across all reels. When they land in view in either the base game or Free Spins round, they will expand the entire reel Vertically, revealing a random Multiplier between x2 and x100.
The Multiplier value will be applied to all wins that it is a part of. If more than 1 Expanding Wild is part of the same winning combination, both their Multiplier values will be added together and applied.
Zeus vs Hades Gods of War Free Spins
Landing 3 Red or Blue Scatters (depending on which Mode you’re playing on) across reels 1, 3, and 5 triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 10 Free Spins.
During Free Spins, if any Expanding Wild symbols land in view, they will expand to reveal a random Multiplier value and remain on the reel until the end of the Free Spins round.
If the max win cap of 15, 000x is reached, the round will immediately end and all remaining Free Spins are forfeited.

Zeus vs Hades Gods of War: Our Verdict
Zeus Vs Hades Gods of War gives players an interesting way to play with selectable modes that vary in volatility.
Thematically it reminded us of iSoftBet’s Olympus Zeus Megaways and Olympus Hades Megaways. Of course, Zeus vs Hades is one game, so you get the best of Olympus and the underworld in Pragmatic’s latest instalment
The Hades mode offers the more volatile option for players looking for bigger hits, but the Olympus mode offers a faster route into free spins, but with a smaller chance of bigger wins.
In terms of potential, Pragmatic pushed the boat out with winning capabilities 3x more than their favourite win cap at 15,000x.
Our only complaint is the Super Free Spins, which can’t trigger organically. This feature is only available to those with bonus buy options, but it’s still quite a capable game in the regular Free Spins mode.
Overall, Zeus vs Hades proved to be a diverse gaming experience with an interesting dynamic and solid gameplay.
