Nudging Wilds

Sakura Wilds are Stacked Wild symbols that are only present on reels 2, 3 and 4.

Sakura Wilds can land fully or partially in view. If a Sakura Wild lands partially in view, it may or may not drop down and fill the entire reel.

Once a Sakura Wild is fully present on the reel, it will become Sticky and 1 Respin will be awarded.

During the Respin, landing additonal Sakura Wilds will activate another Repsin and the Wild will become Sticky.

If no more Sakura Wilds land during the Repsin, normal gameplay will resume.

Landing a minimum of 3 Sword Scatters, triggers the Fortune Free Spins round, awarding a select amount of Free Spins. respectively. Once a minimum of 3 Scatters land, you will then be awarded a Respin. This is to see if any additional Sword Scatters may be awarded.

Sakura Fortune 2: Our Verdict

We think fans of the original Sakura Fortune will be very pleased with what Quickspin has created here.

There’s some very striking similarities to the first slot, which is a good thing if you’re of the opinion that sequels should build upon the original instead of reinvent them, but it’s not so good if you were hoping for new experience entirely. Obvious improvements has been made in how Sakura Fortune 2 looks and plays, and the nudging wilds is a returning feature that we very much welcome. The maximum win potential here is 19,000x, which is an extremely formidable figure, but we’re dubious.

Few providers really put their money where their mouth is when it comes to the maximum win value, and we can’t quite recall many Quickspin titles that rich that max win. Still, Sakura Fortune is a very capable slot, maximum win aside.

We love Japanese themed slots. There’s something about the cherry blossoms and the culture that just makes it seem so intricate and rich in history, yet beautiful and awesome. We know Quickspin aren’t the first to capatalise on such an interesting culture, and we’re sure they won’t be the last, but strangely we don’t get bored of these like we might with your generic Wild West or Egyptian slot.
