Stash & Grab Base Game and Features
Stash & Grab is a 5 reel slot with 20 fixed paylines. In order to form a winning combination, you will need to connect 3 or more of the same symbols from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.
The minimum bet available here is £/€0.10 (£/€0.15 Super Bet) per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€20 (£/€30 Super Bet) per spin, with plenty other options in between the two.
In terms of symbols, the highest paying regular symbol in Stash & Grab is the Diamond, followed by the Tiara, Necklace, Ring and Earrings. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten.
There is also a Wild symbol present which substitutes for all symbols except Robbers, Swag and Scatters. Wilds only appear on reels, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Before you can begin spinning, you will need to choose whether to activate the Super Bet.
Choosing to activate the Super Bet will increase your current bet by 50%, and there’s certainly benefits in activating it.
- Hold & Spin is triggered with 4 Swag symbols instead of 6.
- Triggering Free Spins with 4 Scatters awards x2 Swag symbols.
- Triggering Free Spins with 5 Scatters awards x3 Swag symbols.
Hold & Spin
Landing 6 or more (or 4 or more through Super Bet) Swag symbols triggers the Hold & Spin round, awarding 3 Lives. Swag symbols can land in any position on the reels and appear with a random Cash Value between 1x and 50x.
Each time a new Swag symbol lands in view, it will remain on the reels for the duration of Respins or until a Robber symbol appears. When a Robber symbol appears, it will collect all Swag symbols on the reels and store them on the right side of the reel set, making room for more Swag symbols to land.
Each Robber symbol can randomly apply a Multiplier between x1 and x3 to their collected Swag. Robber symbols will remain on the reels for the remaining Respins, up to a maximum of 3 per Hold & Spin round.
Stash & Grab Free Spins
Landing 3 or more Scatters in any position on the reels triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 6 Free Spins.
During Free Spins, all Swag symbols that land in view will remain in their positions until either a Hold & Spin round is triggered or the Free Spins round ends.
On the final Free Spin, any Swag symbols present on the reels will be collected and their Cash Values will be awarded.
Stash & Grab: Our Verdict
Stash & Grab is one of those slots that are quite low action in the Base Game. Apart from full line connections, there isn’t really much to look for. It feels as if you’re window shopping in a way, just gazing and dreaming about what you’d do with the illustrious contents.
When Stash & Grab triggers its Hold and Spin or Free Spin Round, then you’ve suddenly transformed from lustful window shopper to hardened criminal. You know what you want, you know how to get it, but can you pull off the perfect heist? and is the contents inside as sparkly as they looked from outside?
We wouldn’t consider Stash & Grab as one of Light & Wonder’s best slots to date. There’s certainly titles among their catalogue that has more to offer than this, but it’s a reliable option for those in favour of simple gameplay. Stash & Grab is diverse in the way that it has two bonus rounds to enjoy, and one of them is made easier to obtain via the Super Bet Feature, which improves the games appeal quite a bit.
In terms of potential, Stash & Grab is capable of up to 8,000x. It’s a little hard to imagine what kind of haul you’d need to pull off such a figure, but there’s certainly potential here for players, even if it doesn’t hit its cap.
Overall, Stash & Grab might not be an A-lister title, but it’s a bit of fun, light-hearted and it’s got promise.
