Templar Tumble 2 Dream Drop from Relax Gaming comes as a sequel to the original spin off from Temple Tumble, and the second of all of them to feature the new and exciting Dream Drop Mechanic.

The first slot to feature the Dream Drop mechanic was Temple Tumble 2 Dream Drop. This came as an entirely new game before Relax decided to follow up with a few re-releases with their Jackpot mechanic, and now Templar Tumble 2 Dream Drop joins it.

Templar Tumble 2 Dream Drop – The Base Game and Features

Templar Tumble 2 Dream Drop is a 6 reel slot with up to 117.649 ways to win. To form a win, you’ll need at least 3 of any symbol to connect from left to right on adjacent reels, starting from the left-most reel.

On each spin, a number of blocker symbols are placed on the grid together with normal symbols. These do not contribute towards a win, and they effectively determine the number of winning ways available on any given spin.

However, winning symbols will disappear from the grid, and they’ll take the adjacent blocker symbols with them to enhance the number of ways to win.

Remaining symbols will fall down, and new symbols will fall into any vacant spaces to fill the gaps. This creates the possibility of more wins, and the process repeats until no winning combinations are possible.

Marked Symbols

Some blocker symbols are Marked Symbols with a red or blue border around them.

When these are destroyed, they contribute 1 unit towards their respective collection. When 5 of either marked symbols are destroyed, then the first level of the feature is active. Every 5 marked symbols destroyed after that will increase the level of their features.

The features are triggered at the end of a spin when there is no more winning combinations

Win Multiplier

The blue collection awards a multiplier on the amount won within a single game round. Each level will increase the multiplier by 1, and the current multiplier is displayed within the collection meter.

The multiplier will apply to the total win when no more winning combinations are possible.

Mystery Reveal

The red collection adds mystery symbols anywhere on the reels. Each level completed awards 2 mystery symbols, which may reveal any paying symbol or a coin symbol.

The coin symbol awards a prize between 1x – 100x the bet. The number of mystery symbols collected displays within the collection meter.

Scatter symbols will collect within the Base Game, and they’ll destroy blocker symbols to create room for new symbols to fall into place.

The difference between the Base Game and Free Spins is subtle yet hugely significant. The Win Multiplier and Mystery Reveal Feare is awarded at the end of every spin during Free Spins, and the collection levels do not reset between spins.

Further spins are possible by landing Scatter Symbols, which awards +1 Free Spins.

When the Dream Drop Jackpot Spin is triggered, only stone and DD symbol appear on the reels.

The Dream Drop Jackpot feature is triggered if 6 DD symbols land, one for each reel.

5 Jackpots may be won in the Dream Drop Bonus: RAPID, MIDI, MAXI, MAJOR or MEGA.

In the dream Drop Bonus, only stone blocks can land on the reel. The better the Jackpot, the higher the reel. These will persist on the reels until one is filled by DD Jackpot Symbols.

Once filled, the corresponding Jackpot is awarded and the round is over.

Templar Tumble 2 Dream Drop – Our Verdict

Templar Tumble 2 Dream Drop is one of the best games this year, in our opinion.

Usually the presence of a Jackpot Mechanic together with a game vastly waters down the capabilities of the game itself, but Templar Tumble 2 Dream Drop can really shine even without the Jackpot Feature.

The RTP is 94%, which includes a 12% Jackpot Contribution, but we’re seeing a lot of games with a 94% RTP setting without any Jackpots involved.

We tested Templar Tumble 2 quite rigorously, and the excitement when things get going is quite something. It’s the sort of game that relies on a lot of forward momentum, quite like its predecessors. The stars almost need to align to keep those hits coming, but the Mystery Reveal Feature and the Multiplier that compliments it can mean huge hits, even in the Base Game.

Free Spins is even better with progression that does not reset between spins, and if it really gets going then you’ll see how crazy it can be.

The maximum win of Templar Tumble 2 Dream Drop is 20,000x, jackpot excluded. This is a very respectable figure, and it’s one of the few games where we can say that we believe it could do it.

Overall, it’s a fine successor to Templar Tumble, and a proud addition to the Tumble series overall. We’d even go as far as to say that it’s the best yet.
