Vegas Megaways Slot Review 2022

Big Time Gaming is back with another installment and this time we’re hitting the streets of Vegas and soaking up its nightlife, in Vegas Megaways!

Big Time Gaming is the creator of the Megaways Mechanic, so we’re always expecting something pretty special when they bring out another instalment. Of course, many other providers have licenced the mechanic for themselves, and as a result there’s a plethora of Megaways titles that tries to push the boundaries.

Will Vegas Megaways bring something new to the Megaways table? or is Big Time Gaming keeping it consistent with how Megaways slots were when they first appeared?

In this Vegas Megaways Slot Review we’re Nevada bound to find out.

Vegas Megaways Base Game

Vegas Megaways Base Game and Features

Vegas Megaways is a 6 reel slot with up to 117,649 ways to win. In order to form a winning combination, you will need to connect 3 or more (or 2 or more of the highest paying symbol) from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.

The minimum bet available here is £/€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€15 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two.

Like most Megaways titles, Vegas Megaways features Cascading Reels. Each time a winning combination of symbols is formed, all winning symbols will be removed from the reels and new symbols will drop down via a Cascade. Once a Cascade occurs, there is a chance that more winning combinations will form.

In addition to this, Vegas Megaways also has an additional Sliding Reel at the bottom of the reel set. If a symbol in the Sliding Reel is part of a winning combination, it will be removed from the reel and all remaining symbols will slide one position to the left, filling all the gaps.

In terms of symbols, the highest paying regular symbol in Vegas Megaways is the Diamond, followed by Cherries, Horseshoes and Clovers. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten and Nine. There is also a Wild symbol present which substitutes for all symbols except Scatters. Wild symbols are only present on the additional Sliding Reel.

Aside from the sliding reel and cascading ways, Vegas Megaways has nothing in the way of features in the base game. What you can look forward to though is the Free Spins round which features an unlimited win Multiplier and a VIP Gamble feature.

The VIP Gamble feature allows you to gamble your current amount of Free Spins for more through a Card Game of sorts. Here you can win up to 50 Free Spins or walk away with nothing.

Vegas Megaways: Our Verdict

Big Time Gaming’s Who Wants to be a Millionaire slot is still quite a popular choice with players today, so it makes sense that Big Time Gaming would try something similar in another of their titles which leads to us to Vegas Megaways.

Although Who Wants to be a Millionaire and this one are too competely different slots in terms of theme, they both have one thing in common which is the Gamble feature and Tips, but again it’s not identical. The good thing about the VIP Gamble is that it’s not mandatory so if you’re not one to take risks, then you don’t have to.

The base game doesn’t have a lot going for it but it’s oddly satifying nonetheless, which could have something to do with the glitz and glam theme choice. Skipping to the best bit, the Free Spins round has an increasing Multiplier which can deliver some pretty nice hits if you can get it high enough.

In terms of statistics, Vegas Megaways has an above average RTP of 96.27% and a very pleasant maximum win capacity of 72,310x up for grabs so we see no reason why you wouldn’t at least give Vegas Megaways a go.

All in all, Vegas Megaways feels like a night in Sin City for those who can’t get there themselves, and if you’re keen players like we are, then where else would you rather be?
