Tombstone Slaughter is the latest in their ‘Over the Limit’ slots, which feels like an understatement for this particular release. We’ve taken a dark turn since the innocent days of yore. This instalment follows the bloody path of revenge walked by El Gordo’s Daughter, who is hellbent on making the world atone for the death of her father. Base Game & Features
Tombstone Slaughter is a 6-reel Video Slot with a reel configuration of 2-3-3-3-3-2 and varying bet sizes between £.€0.10 and £.€100 per spin. Wins require 3-6 matching symbols to land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.
This game has 5 High and Low-paying symbols, each producing payouts between 0.1x and 3x your bet. Low-paying symbols fall to standard card suits (A-10), whilst all high-paying symbols consist of individual characters.
The 6th reel has unique properties and limited symbols – these include:
- Only 2-high stacked Revolver and Character symbols can appear. If the reel reveals a half symbol, it becomes inactive.
- No low-paying symbols are present on this reel.

xNudge Wilds
xNudge Wilds are special symbols that will always nudge until fully visible on the reel. Each nudge increases the Wild Multiplier by +x1. When partially in view, the xNudge Wild will automatically nudge until fully visible.
If more than 1 xNudge Wild is present, their multipliers will add to each other and are then applied to wins. Please note, that xNudge Wilds can only appear on reels 2-5.
xRIP

Slaughter Scatters
The game’s Scatter symbols can only land on reels 2-5. When 2 Scatters appear in a game round, they are automatically converted into Reel Split Wilds, causing itself and other symbols on that reel to split into two, thus doubling the number of symbols on that reel.

Special Revolver symbols appear only on reel 6 in the base game and both Free Spins rounds. When a full Revolver symbol hits, it will trigger 3-6 Cylinder features – these include:

Landing 3 Slaughter Scatters in the base game triggers Slaughter Spins, awarding 5 Free Spins.
In this round, the 6th reel always lands a fully-stacked Character symbol with a random Win Multiplier between x5 and x99, or a Revolver symbol.
Also in play is a special El Gordo’s Revenge Meter, which is positioned at the bottom of the reel set, starting at Level 1, and advancing up to a maximum of Level 5. In addition to Cylinder features, the following features can also occur from Revolver symbols:
- Killcount Multiplier: Awards a Multiplier between x1 and x89 to all future Levels on El Gordo’s Revenge Meter.
- Revenge Level Up: Fills all positions on the Revenge Meter, upgrading to the next available Level.
If 4 Slaughter Scatters land in the base game, 5 Slaughter Spins, 2 spots on the Revenge Meter, and an upgraded xNudge Multiplier of x1, x4, x5, x6, and x7 per level are awarded respectively.
Landing a full Revolver symbol will upgrade the remaining round to Massacre Spins, awarding +2 Free Spins.
Massacre Spins
Landing 3 Slaughter Scatters and 1 Revolver symbol in the base game triggers Massacre Spins, awarding 5 Free Spins. In addition to Slaughter Spisn features, the Revolver symbol remains sticky on the 6th reel.
Landing 4 Slaughter Scatters and 1 Revolver in the base game triggers 5 Massacre Spins, 2 spots on the Revenge Meter, and an upgraded xNudge Multiplier of x1, x4, x5, x6, and x7 per level respectively.
El Gordo’s Revenge Meter
El Gordo’s Revenge Meter begins at Level 1, up to a maximum of Level 5. The starting Multiplier for all xNudge symbols is set for each level, starting from x1 up to x5 respectively.
Scatters appear on reels 2-5 during a Free Spins mode. Each Scatter awards +1 Free Spin to the current Level, filling the revenge meter by +1 spot, and incrementing future level Multipliers by +x1.
When 4 Scatters are collected, the Revenge Meter advances to the next available level. Please note, that the next level is played out when all current spins are complete.
Our Verdict
Tombstone Slaughter is perhaps the biggest release of the year thus far, and Nolimit City’s most unhinged release to date.
Those behind the art, concept, music, mechanics and the very idea of Nolimit City slots always had a screw loose, but little did we know how loose they were. The concept of a 500,000x maximum win is unfathomable, unthinkable and almost ridiculous. It’s the biggest available max win outside of a jackpot slot, if you want bigger then go to Vegas, hit up one of the progressive jackpots online or play the lottery. Nothing else comes close, not even within their own portfolio.
Extreme volatility is a light way to put it, so prepare to walk away empty-handed 99% of the time. Empty your pockets for El Gordo’s daughter lest she take it by force, temper your expectations and do not underestimate how brutal Tombstone Slaughter can really be. The xRIP ‘mechanic’ (if you want to call it that) returns to deny anyone a win lower than that of the base bet, which is what makes such astronomical wins possible.
Tombstone Slaughter incorporates some of Nolimit’s most effective mechanics, xSplit and xNudge and an infectious xSplit, something usually reserved for xWays mechanics. most of these xMechanics need no introduction, but it can never be understated how much they change the games they feature in. They’re particularly effective here, as is the revolver symbol that may trigger some of them and other features.
Tombstone Slaughter is a beast of a game, but one that should be approached extremely cautiously and without any real expectation. It’s not for the faint of heart, no walk in the park and as unforgiving as we’ve ever seen. For many, it’s just the challenge that they’ll love but many will fear its intense volatility.
Overall, its amongst the best we’ve seen from the best in the industry, maybe even the best yet, depending on your appetite for volatility such as this.
