Wins are generated when 3-6 matching symbols appear from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. This game has 10 High and Low-paying symbols, each capable of payouts between 0.1x and 10x your bet. Wilds appear on reels 2-6, substituting for all symbols except Scatters.
Due to the nature of the Megaways mechanic, Raging Waterfall features an additional Sliding Reel above the main reel set. This reel holds 4 symbols per spin and aids in the creation or enhancement of wins. Each winning combination is subject to removal via an Avalanche Feature. Our Verdict
When the Megaways mechanic first came to fruition, almost every new release facilitated it. After so many years, the number of Megaways titles dropped, while software providers dipped their toes into new and refreshing mechanics. Raging Waterfall from Pragmatic Play is the first Megaways slot we’ve encountered in a while and it certainly does not disappoint.
What’s great about Raging Waterfall is that it has all the best elements of the Megaways mechanic, while Pragmatic Play has made some minor alterations to how it works. The most noticeable difference is the number of maximum Megaways that can be achieved. Instead of the standard 117,649 ways, this game allows only 100,842 ways to hit in a single spin.
The Multi Chance Feature allows players a second chance to create wins when reels 2-6 house matching symbols. Alternatively, players can make use of the Ante Bet and Bonus Buy modes depending on country origin. The Ante Bet is a good shout for those wanting to see the Free Spins round in action, with double the chance of triggering it in the base game.
In Free Spins, each Scatter that hits guarantees 1 of 4 Modifiers, each able to enhance your current Free Spins round and deliver a better outcome. In some ways, the Free Spins round is similar to that of the Release the Kraken series, only here, you’re not able to pick Chests.
Last but not least, this game has a great range of statistics, particularly the 10,000x max win cap.
