Book of Monsters is a highly volatile 7×7 Video Slot, operating a Cluster Pays mechanic and varying bet sizes between £.€0.20 and £.€240 per spin. This game facilitates multiple RTP options between 96.50% and 94.50%. Other attributes include a sizable max win cap of 5,000x your bet.
Triggering winning clusters requires 5-49 matching symbols to land on adjacent reels/rows, either horizontally or vertically. In the base game, high and low-paying symbols can appear in sizes of 3×3, 4×4, 5×5, 6×6, or 7×7 across the grid. Although this game is a Cluster Pays title, it does not feature Cascading Reels.

Landing 4, 5, 6, or 7 Bonus Scatters anywhere on the grid triggers the Free Spins mode, awarding 5, 6, 7, and 8 Free Spins respectively, as well as a payout of 5x, 15x, 50x, and 100x your bet.
At the start of Free Spins, a random high or low-paying symbol is selected as your Giant symbol for the entire feature. Before the round begins, you can Gamble your current symbol for a potential higher-paying one or additional Free Spins.
Choosing to gamble your giant symbol will result in the pages of a book turning over. If the next highest-paying symbol is revealed, the Gamble has been successful. Alternatively, if ‘The End’ is shown, the Gamble has been lost and you will return to the base game, empty-handed.

Book of Monsters has a lot of redeeming qualities, in particular the provider by which it was created. Pragmatic Play holds the record for the most releases, delivering a variety of lucrative games month after month. Book of Monsters joins over a dozen new releases from Pragmatic Play, offering interesting features and the ever-popular Cluster Pays mechanic.
At first, the base game can feel rather timid in comparison to many of its predecessors, but the idea of landing giant symbols in a size of 7×7 is an attractive aspect of gameplay. It’s a rewarding feature if you’re lucky enough to see it in action, but it could have been made better through the use of Multipliers.
Upon triggering Free Spins, you will have access to a nifty Gamble feature, which allows you to trade in your current Giant symbol or Free Spins for a higher outcome. Naturally, this type of Gamble comes with the risk of losing it all, but if you’re a daredevil player, you will find this a great addition.
