Base Game & Features
3 Skulls of Voodoo is a medium volatility release with 5 reels, 6 rows, and 50 fixed pay lines. Wins occur when 3-5 identical symbols land on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel.
The 3 highest-paying symbols cover up to 4 reel positions and can land partially in view when counting towards a winning combination. There are 11 high and low-paying symbols, including Wilds, each producing payouts between 0.1x and 2.5x your bet.
Wilds & Voodoo Wilds are substitutes for all symbols except special symbols. Regular Wilds cover 2 reel positions and appear on all reels during the base game and Bonus Games.
Alternatively, Voodoo Wilds cover 1 reel position and can appear on any reel during the Green Skull Bonus or any Combo Bonus with the Green Skull active.
Special Symbols
Above the main reel set in the base game are individual Blue, Red, and Green Skulls. In addition, each reel may reveal its matching Blue, Red, or Green symbol, which covers two reel positions each.
These special symbols can only contribute if they’re fully visible on the reels. Once in view, the Special symbol(s) are collected into their respective Skull Pots above the main reel set.
Each time a Special symbol is collected, it has the potential to trigger a Bonus Game, depending on which colour Skull is filled. Please note that a combination of Bonus Games can be awarded in the same spin.
3 Skulls of Voodoo Bonus
Once a Special symbol triggers 1 or more Skull Pots above the reels, it will award its respective Bonus Game(s). However, landing 4+ Special symbols will guarantee the corresponding Bonus Game triggers.
Red Skull Bonus
When the Red Skull Bonus is active, 9-15 Free Spins are awarded. In this round, the Red Special symbol can award the following Prizes:

Our Honest Verdict
3 Skulls of Voodoo had us under its spell from the moment it loaded onto our screen. The presence of individual Skull Pots and Jackpot Prizes gave us a big clue as to what’s occurring, with Push Gaming’s 3 Magic Pots offering something similar.
Although this game shares strong similarities to Lucksome Games’ Voodoo Temple, the two couldn’t be more different. Yes, the paytable symbols and spooky aesthetic are identical, but the maths module and available features/mechanics are entirely unique.
If you’re going by statistics alone, you may find Voodoo Temple a better offering for its high RTP module and respectable 20,000x max win potential. While the max win found here isn’t terrible, it’s a far cry from Lucksome’s release.
Games with a Collection Feature are the only ones that pull us away from regular wins and base game spins. Our primary focus falls on triggering the respective Pots to achieve a unique Free Spins mode (or in this case, a combo bonus).
With each Skull Bonus offering something unique and exciting, it’s hard to decide which is the better option. Alternatively, you can indulge in a variety of functions by triggering a Combo Bonus, and if you’re lucky, all 3-in-1.
During testing, we were fortunate to see a Combo Bonus in action (Red+Blue). With the extra spins modifier active, we received 61 Free Spins throughout the entire round, with the help of retriggers.
