Base Game & Features
Reel Rush XXXtreme is a highly volatile, 5-reel Video Slot with up to 3,125 ways to win. Winning combinations are guaranteed when 3-5 identical symbols land from left to right, starting from reel 1.
All paytable symbols are subject to a fixed payout between 0.03x and 10x your bet, represented by individual Fruits and coloured Discs. In addition, Wild symbols appear on reels 2-5, substituting for all paytable symbols except Mystery Features.
Wild symbols will substitute for the highest-paying winning sequence as reflected in the paytable.
Respins & Expanding Reels Feature
In the base game, each winning combination will activate a single Respin, up to a maximum of 5. During each Respin, +2 additional positions on the reels are unlocked, expanding the number of possible ways to win:

During the Respin & Expanding Reels feature, each unlocked position may activate up to 3 standard Mystery Features:
- Multiplier +x1: Increases the current Multiplier by +x1, which applies to all wins as of the next spin
- Wild: Positions 1 Wild on its current position for the next Respin
- Bomb: Reveals an extra set of positions on the reels. If there are no more unlockable positions available, it will award an additional +1 Free Spin
Alternatively, certain unlocked positions will award up to 3 Golden Mystery Features:
- Multiplier +x10: Increases the current Multiplier above the reels by +x10, which applies to all wins as of the next spin
- Sticky Wild: Places a sticky wild symbol on its current position, which remains on the reels until the end of the feature
- Expanding Wild Reel: Each wild symbol in view expands to cover its respective reel as of the next spin. This remains active for the entire feature so that additional Wilds expand during this time.
If a Sticky Wild is revealed on an existing Expanded Wild Reel, it will transform into an Expanding Sticky Wild Reel. This means that all wild positions within that reel will remain sticky until the end of the feature.

The Free Spins mode available in this game is triggered by unlocking all hidden positions on the reels in a single game round. Once active, 7 Free Spins are awarded. Each Bomb symbol obtained in the last pair of positions will uncover additional Free Spins on the reels.
Furthermore, all Multiplier, Sticky Wild, Expanding Wild Reels, and Sticky Wild Reels won in the base game are carried over to this feature, in addition to any Wild symbols won from the previous Respin feature.
This round is played on the same bet as selected in the base game. At the end of Free Spins, the total win is added to any previous wins from the base game before triggering this feature.
Our Honest Verdict
Players who missed the previous two releases may find the retro gaming graphics somewhat of a masterpiece, while others may find it a little distasteful for their liking. Regardless of how it looks, the built-in features and mechanics certainly leave a lasting impression.
As players of the original Reel Rush, we’re humbled to see the return of the Respins and Expanding Reels feature, while equally pleased to try out new functions that are responsible for the ‘XXXtreme’ part of this release.
Admittedly, the original Reel Rush has developed a few crows’ feet and wrinkles over the years, so having a fresh face of modern graphics in Reel Rush XXXtreme will certainly revive our love for an old classic.
It can take a while for Mystery Features to warm up, but once a rhythm of winning combinations occurs, you can sit back, relax, and watch in awe as the magic unfolds on the reels. It can be quickly short-lived, but it doesn’t take much effort to get it going again.
A quick note on the Elevate (in-game) Features – players in specific regions can enjoy 3 purchasable Golden XXXtreme Spins options, which begin with a reasonable price tag, until you reach the third option of 200x your bet.
Regardless of how they’re labelled, the above options do not grant access to the Free Spins mode, but rather enhanced versions of the Mystery/Golden Mystery Features. Is the 200x price tag worth it for the sake of 8,130x your bet? That’s for you to decide.
All in all, we think Reel Rush XXXtreme is fresh, sufficiently so that it’ll grab your attention. It has an 8,130x max win, which is a little odd but within acceptable parameters, and undeniable charm.
